We are building a custom cell broadcast (CB) application on Window Mobile5 to provide more sophisticated functionality of CB. There are regions that are starting to experiment commercial use of CBS, such as weather forecast, news delivery etc.
The problem we are facing is that both the built-in CB receiver and our application receive the message, therefore counting the SMS twice which costs the user twice of the SMS fee, which of course is not right.
Is there a way to deactivate the built-in CB receiver while keeping CB reception so the custom app is the only one receiving the broadcasting? Note this can not be done by just turning off the CB reception or un-select the channel at the system configuration level, because then neither of the built-in CB receiver or the custom app is able to receive the broadcasting.
