I guest it would be someone who's using the Diamond and thought that it was the only device that "deserve" to have animated weather icons and sliding pages (actually, the ThrottleLauncher already did that), hence when the M2D was out, whoops, non Diamond devices can use the sliding bar and very similar weather page and, whoops, the speed is just as good as the 3D runs on the Diamond.....and what's more, M2D can use analog clock whereas 3D can only read the digits.....whoops

As far as I know, no one create animation for M2D yet. There are WeatherPanel, and TL. But not M2D. Even Rumball said he can't do for M2D.

The animated weather has been discussed before. The rain animation is coded directly into the manilla2d.exe and references numbered png's for the rest of the weather conditions.

Unless the OP has rewritten manilla2d I'm skeptical...

I have compared both of them. & after comparing carefully i must admit that alainwong's icons r not xactly the copy of beyond's icons. he might hav taken some idea from beyond icons but surely he has not stolen them from beyond. it seems that those icons r indeed his own creation. & i must admit that we should be gratefull to him for providing those nice large non framed icons for free coz beyond was not ready to share his icons without donation. so people please stop blaming him & admire his work. He deserves praise for his job & not some bullshit accusition.

Look boys im not liking people quarling like little non sense children here over a simple issue. i think its time for me to prove my point. i hav the graphics provided by alainwong & if anybody carefully examine those he'll understand that its not entirely stolen from beyond. neither of the icons r completely similar to beyond icons. im putting a few examples here.
check the difference with Beyondinvisible icons posted here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2725851&postcount=487) & if u cant see any difference then u r blind. & i hope this will stop people talking nonsense over a generous guy.

well its known to be possible with the rain animation only. thats why everyone is saying what they are.

im not denying him anything, im encouraging him! i want animated icons for sure! if all animated weather is possible, im sure an animated clock should technically be possible (this is all hypothetical of course)

As far as i know M2D only uses BRN-files for the rainbrush and M2D.exe can't be edited (yet).

We (the moderation team) back up any decision made by a moderator therefor the thread is still open for posting.

I have confirmed with many, include Beyond Invisible, the one created the new rain animation for M2D, at this time weather animation is limited to rain only. That's why B.I. only posted one animation.

It doesn't matter where you put the BRN files, M2D just won't read them.

I agree with Marcelvanblankers, all the original poster said was just "words". Unless he prove it works, I say it's FAKE.

Just try replacing existing icon by rain animation and rename it by original name,like that you can see if its possible to have animation icon when it sunny or cloud.
But i don't know the possible name of the file for the moment.

No! Have you tried this already or do you think it might work? What icon should we replace? The problem is that the "rain icon" consists of about 20 or 30 single icons. The other weather icons consist of only 2 icons!!

so it is the rainbrush animation. one complete set is around 5mb. nad it can be edited. they could be bitmaps converted to .brn files like the 3d cube. imho, it would be better to intedrade flash with m2d then create flash files for weather, clock, photo, contacts and audio tab animations rather than creating brn files for the weather.

if i have so many time i'll find my own way of doing this even if im not a programmer.

What i wanted to say is . if we copy paste all HH_rainbrush_**.brn and we rename it to something like HH_sunny_**.brn, jsut to see if we can see this rain animation when it's sunny. in this case and only after this we can make really HH_sunny_**.brn files with real sunny animation instead of rain.

i second the motion. the rainbrush animation is hardcoded in m2d. it will only be called when the weather is raining. renaming it will even render it non working. we can change the animation though by editing the .brn files.

TF3D is good, its just that not all devices can handle it. its working on my wizard but very slow and most of it are white images. unlike m2d is working very fast and stable.

Update:9:54am after quickly looking through the hex of m2d exe it doesn't appear to be encrypted and if so not a whole lot so it should be aboe to be decompiled. I'll continue to try and post more as it happens however don't hold me to this I'm still a little fish in programming and such.

brn files can be edited by using this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=346910) :D also as far as recoding the manila I'll give it a try in my spare time, let you know if I get anything. I'm not a super duper programmer but I know some, hopefully enough to figure this out.

If you wanna try editing the rain animation by yourself and fiddle around here is all you need, it includes: brn files from the original, the converter and the converted bmps
Download:
