Hello Ather, I found this utility very useful. In hotel, in the night, I leave my Htc on charge near the bed with display on and I launch Simple Clock to trasform it in a digital clock.
Do you think it's possible to add some features? For example a landscape mode, the ability to choice the font color, enable/disable seconds, display alarm settings, etc..
thank you!

Hello,
I have tried it on my touch pro and it shows on the upper left corner and is very small.
I guess it has something to do with resolution.
Any workaround??
thanks in advance..

Looks like this is for QVGA and you have a VGA device, so it shows in one quarter of your screen.

I think you on to something here. Something simple but elegant. Landscape would be excellent. I have the touch pro 2 and would be nice to have this at my night stand tilted up. Thanks again for a great little program!

Hello Ather, thank you for this new release, I just installed it but I receive an error when I try to launch Simple Clock.
The message say: The file or the assembly 'System.Windows.Forms,Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=969.............' is not found.
Fortunately I have not uninstalled the 0.2 release, but I want to try the new version, so can you give me some info about this error and how to solve it?
(I have an HTC Trinity (P3600) with WinMobile 5)

it needs .NETCF 3.5 ( i figured most of the ppc's had it..)

Ather

its Device dependent, if you set the device's setting to 24H , it will display 24H :)

It isn't a alarmclock is it?

It's a night clock, so you can use your phone to show the time in the night. It's useful in hotel, for example, and every time you don't have a desktop clock for the night. To make it work correctly you have to disable the auto shut-off function of your phone, in my Htc Trinity I set the time for automatic shut-off to 12hr, I don't think to sleep so much..

I tried both the zipped exe file & the .cab file, both fail to install. Running the cab file on the htc does nothing, with no error message. What am I missing here?

After the installation of .NETCF 3.5, the latest version 0.3 work well on my Trinity. ;)
Can you add this features in the next releases of this useful app?
landscape mode
enable/disable seconds
display alarm settings on/off (a little bell near the time)
choice font size
thank you Ather!

As others have said, a clock that does not produce too much light at night would be perfect. This is almost there, except for the color options on the bottom of the screen. If that could be hidden, and if the gyrator worked to landscape it, this would be the bedside clock of choice for many. Especially useful for travel. Seems like a night time skin for Klaxxon would be the ideal choice.

On the ATT Tilt, this does go ladscape.
If this could hide the color selections on the bottom, and shorten the display so you didn't get the blinding white vertical scroll bar, this would be an ideal night time clock display.

Without seconds indication, font can be bigger and the time more visible. ;)

If it also would run on WM2k3 old PDA's can be used as clocks

I second that ... landscape, choice of colors and alarm with snooze and my old HP 210 will have yet another function when I travel!
