The USA 3G rollout for TMobile seems to have been pretty quiet... had a few questions if anyone out there has any info. I have a universal, I live in San Francisco, and I've been driven to alcoholism by the slow speeds of GPRS. I heard that T-Mobile's 3G network has been working here in SF for a month or so, NY had it a few months ago, and that today is the "official" launch of the nationwide(big cities only) 3G network for them.
I've been trying to get it working on my universal for a little while now with zero success. Has anyone gotten 3G working in the USA on their Universal? Is it even possible? I don't really know where to start.
I read this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2548003), and it wasn't very encouraging. I'm hoping that new information has come to light since then. I'd go into a store and ask, but store associates tend to be hit-and-miss(mostly miss) with their levels of expertise, and they're probably too busy selling G1s anyway.
