Open.Rom.Diamond.Edition

The First ever MultiLanguage Support NOOB Kitchen.
Now It Cooks you either a German, English or A Dutch Rom without the need of knowing what goes on underneath the cooking hood.

Just Start Cooking Select your Language then Disable or enable the applications you want in the rom and Flash.

For the more experienced Cooks, Package Updates or extra packages are always welcome to be submitted. Place the name into the Package like "PACKAGE_DSIXDA_Mortscript_Screen_Rotate_Simple_000 0". You can PM me about it or post directly into the thread.

The Kitchen is Hybrid and i have given no attention to the Build Numbers that you SEE in device information. I only Update Incrementally and only what is needed as long as it's stable i don't care about version numbers Shown, trust me i know what i'm talking about, stop the paranoia.

Adds "Alt-Tab" functionality (program switching) under the Start menu.

PACKAGE_Opera_Mini_4_2_0000:

PACKAGE_VGA_Esmertec_Jbed_20080912_5_1_0000:

Thanks to trueg for pointing this version out to me. It is one of the first versions of Jbed that allows you to resize the tiny fonts in Opera Mini, among other things.

PACKAGE_TouchHD_EnglishOnly_Keyboard_0000:

Files are based on the multi-language CAB by sblop at this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=455769); I simply took out the appropriate files and registry keys, reducing the size significantly.

Instructions

1. Be Sure you have Developers HardSPL Flashed to your Phone before you start Cooking.
In the Folder "Tools\SPL's" you will find three versions of these.

2. The Kitchen is not set up to use a specific Radio nor do i Advice any as Radio performance can differ from Operator To Operator

A Collection of Radio's can be found in the folder "Tools\Radio's"

3. The Kitchen does not include the OS.NB anymore because it was getting to big. Fortunatly Modilv has the LEGO Kitchen Thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452184) Kitchen Thread Where He Provides two OS.NB versions in his Rapidshare Folder (http://rapidshare.com/users/JW7QII).
Download either the 8MB Pagepool version or the 12MB Pagepool version and then drop the OS.NB into the "\Rom\" folder.

4. The Kitchen has three Language Options to choose from when it Begins.
1 for English (not working yet) 2 for German & 3 For Dutch (Not Working Yet).

5. After Choosing your language Disable or Enable extra options in the BUILDOS screen and then Press Play. If you get errors during this process please post them in this thread. After BUILDOS is finished Close the Build OS window and it will continue do to it's job until the Flash to you phone Screen comes up, so Flash it.

6. Flashing Roms to your phone is always risky, no matter how much precautions i have taken, everything that goes wrong is also your responsibility. If your not that familiar with the process the advice is to not tick OF more then the already preselected options.

If you want the kitchen to keep using your preferred packages you have to edit the Corresponding language file in the Options folder.

If your making an English Rom edit the EN.xml file in notepad.
Look up the option you want preselected in BuildOS (The Kitchen) and change the value from False to True (or the other way around).
Don't forget to also to put True into the correspondant Language Option.
0407 for German 0409 for English 0413 for Dutch.

For German edit the DE.xml and for Dutch NL.xml

Q: I tried the 'connectionSetupAuto' package and it did nothing - is this package meant to be
used in conjunction with the 'connectionSetup' package? Connection Setup on its own
works fine.

A: PACKAGE_OREE_ConnectionSetup_0000_1_5_34564_2_Auto & PACKAGE_OREE_ConnectionSetup_0000_1_5_34564_2 Need to be installed together to get the Auto part working (sort of)

PACKAGE_OREE_ConnectionSetup_0000_1_5_34564_2
Causes connection setup to run only once after reboot (60 seconds)

PACKAGE_OREE_ConnectionSetup_0000_1_5_34564_2_Auto
Sets it as an Autostart Item that is being run by The Taskmanager and runs whenever you switch the SIM card.
If once is enough, only use the PACKAGE_OREE_ConnectionSetup_0000_1_5_34564_2
(or you can start it manually)
If you switch a lot of Sim Cards and don't mind the extra memory being used at start up leave in the Auto version

Who can help me create a MortScript that reads specific Registry values.

SOLVED thanks to bbobeckyj

Something like these

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\MortInstaller\LNK\Read er.lnk]
"SourcePath"="\Windows\AdobeReaderLE.exe"
"TargetPath"="\Windows\Startmenu\Office Mobile\"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\MortInstaller\LNK\Calc ulator.lnk]
"SourcePath"="\Windows\MobileCalculator.exe"
"TargetPath"="\Windows\Startmenu\Office Mobile\"
It then Creates and Executes the Parts below.

CreateShortcut("\Windows\Startmenu\Office Mobile\Adobe Reader.lnk","\Windows\AdobeReaderLE.exe")
CreateShortcut("\Windows\Startmenu\Office Mobile\Calculator.lnk","\Windows\MobileCalculator.exe")
It's an AutoShortcut/ProvXML/Removeatribute.exe/initflashfiles.dat/Excessive .LNK files in Windows, replacement.

At the moment i put all commands into one start up script, but that makes separate and COMPLETE OEM packages impossible. As disabling one Package in the Kitchen, still leaves the Command in the start up mortscript to create the shortcut.

This is not just for my own convenience, but for building a kitchen that can be used by every NOOB, that contains optimized and clean Packages.
This way i can put the creation of .lnk files into that package it's RGU file.

If it could also unzip and Change attributes through this script using registry values it would even be better.

I know there's someone out there that can cook this one up.

Thanks for the attention at least.

Update:
Script has been adjusted.
It now reacts to if a file is present in Rom and then reacts to that taking into account the MUI localization.

if (FileExists( "\Windows\RotateScreen.mscr" ))
WriteFile( SystemPath("StartMenu") \ "Rotate Screen.lnk", "99#""\Windows\RotateScreen.mscr""?shellres.192.dll.0413.mui,-8259")
Else
EndIf

If there's an app or package that you think would be a good one to include in the kitchen you can always submit it.

Here's what you need to take into account.

1. If the package does not need an RGU, you don't need to include it.
2. The RGU and DSM files need to be hand made.
Make a blank .txt file. Go to http://www.famkruithof.net/uuid/uuidgen get a new UID, Rename the text file and extension with the UID number and .dsm extension.
(Ervius Packages sometimes don't work correctly)
Make a blank text file again and rename it to the new UID name and .rgu extension. Make sure you resave the RGU file as Unicode. (that is only if you need the RGU file.
3. When the package is complete. Drop the Package Folder onto the BuildDSM.exe in the tools folder. (be sure that Initflashfiles and option.xml are temporary removed from package when you do this)

Some more explanations about Mortscript installation.
As we try to Use as few as possible files in the rom and also make accommodate with the three language.

The way to create a link to a program has a little trick to it so it installs into the correct directory for the language.

Beneath is an example:

if (FileExists( "\Windows\StopWatch.exe" ))
if (FileExists( "\Windows\shellres.dll.0413.mui" ))
MkDir(SystemPath("ProgramsMenu") \ "Applicaties")
CreateShortcut(SystemPath("ProgramsMenu") \ "Applicaties\StopWatchk.lnk","\Windows\StopWatch.exe")
Else
EndIf
Else
EndIf
This way it checks for two conditions before it creates a link
As shellres.dll.0413.mui only exists in a Dutch rom this particular shortcut will only be created in a Dutch rom.

Also when a directory does not exist, MORT will not install a link into it.
So i added the MakeDir command first.

Two other variables of the script are needed so it supports German and English.

Now if the file did not need to go into the sub dir Applicaties

One script would do:

if (FileExists( "\Windows\StopWatch.exe" ))
CreateShortcut(SystemPath("ProgramsMenu") \ "StopWatchk.lnk","\Windows\StopWatch.exe")
Else
EndIf
And only one version of the script would do.

Or the link creation could be more dynamic:

if (FileExists( "\Windows\YouTube.exe" ))
if (DirExists(SystemPath("ProgramsMenu") \ "MultiMedia" ))
CreateShortcut(SystemPath("ProgramsMenu") \ "MultiMedia\YouTube.lnk","\Windows\YouTube.exe")
Else
CreateShortcut(SystemPath("ProgramsMenu") \ "YouTube.lnk","\Windows\YouTube.exe")
EndIf
Else
EndIf
So if the Folder "MultiMedia" does not exist the shortcut will be made in the main programs folder.

Either use the Full Kitchen

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2392286&postcount=3

To extract the OEM/SYS/ROM from an Official Rom.

Then Replace the OEM/SYS/ROM folders in ORDE Kitchen.

Then Compare the differences ;)

The Brilliance of the Kitchen is because of all those other People that have worked on it, i just made it a bit more Noob Proof with some very amateuristic adjustments of the batch files.

Want to Change or add some stuff Through UC Autorun?

Here's a way for the advanced user to do even more.

CPY1:\Intern geheugen\Cabs\MyMort.mscr
CPY2:\Temp\MyMort.mscr
EXEC:\Temp\MyMort.mscr
Inside the script you can do anything you can do with Mortscript.

For instance copying over a complete Directory to Phone Storage.

UnzipAll( "\Intern geheugen\Cabs\ExtraTemplates.zip", "\Mijn Documenten\Templates" )

CreateShortcut("\Windows\Startmenu\Programma's\TomTom.lnk","\Intern geheugen\Program Files\Navigator\TomTom Navigator.exe")
As long as you don't forget to delete the script.

Delete( "\Temp\MyMort.mscr" )

Ameet's been working on that for a while, good thing XIP is language independent same as drivers.

And before i forget some eye candy, still like the smaller 32X240 screenshots.

Using the default settings
(yes with TouchFlo Running)

My default Settings have a lot Removed, but left Manilla with Landscape support and Flip-It enabled by default by Wild Berry Team.

Have updated some Packages with some New Stuff from Blackstone

If you find anything Missing Just Re enable it again.

These are the settings i like,.. at the moment.
(not clean enough)

Already started adding some 0409 Packages as these days no one seems to remember the days where no one cooked a ROM.

There was first and foremost a Kitchen.
That was it, there weren't 20 something different cooks competing over who's the best.
You selected what you wanted in it and then flashed it.
That's how it was with the first O2 XDA

I'm just trying to give back the experience of modifying your ROM without any knowledge whatsoever of cooking.

And i hope some people wake up and start working together more.

What New WWE build?

Version number?

Device?

I use parts of 1.96 build 1.95 some Blackstone OEM Apps, and sometimes i stick with very specific Version numbers (Taskmanager with Bootlauncher Magic ;))

Check the screenshot for Version numbers of Apps. OS Builds don't say that much these days.

This is not a concept, this is how it should be, some of the Younger kids just weren't around when this was normal.

And yes Manilla can be deselected or selected with or without Landscape or Call Tab, safely.

When everything is in order and as i would want it (few more days), then either My good friend AbaBrekar or who ever beats him to it will have at least the XIP. (I like Pixel 46 55 43 4b 49 4e 47 more then i like HEX 46 55 43 4b 49 4e 47) Trust me i really do not care about a little update in the SYS or OEM number.

being a dutch rom output, does that mean TF3D is in english with dutch input support, or is it completly dutch? i have not included the input in my dump.

also, is it possible in have the option of choosing sys and build version as well as 1.93, touch pro, blackstone and newer roms starting to fload around? in the simple check box format you got goin' here?

im sitting here at the RUU with my rom ready to flash and had some last minute questions. for some reason im a bit aprehensive flashing this...

are these reasonable questions or am i retarded? :)

It is completely Dutch. TouchFlo by default has multi language support. If you have HARDSPL and from Version and don't disable to much your all set. I've been flashing twenty times a day the last week ;). From the version .8 the rule should be not to deselct less than is already selected. More is always good.

You'll get an error if you select a wrong or double Package anyway. This is how all cooks make their ROMS. Difference is that you can now actually go in there and take a look in the kitchen. If your not interested in the Fine parts like editing the Registry files which i'm trying to Order as much as possible into the package they belong in (and thanks to the new Blackstone rom, it will even be easier).

I made the Batch files delete all traces of the end Rom so the forum will not be flooded with thousands of personal roms ;)
But anyone that knows batch files will be able to take that out.

Al packages have rebuild DSM files, so if the all_packages_to_one is removed from the scripts you could make a redumpable rom.

There are some MUI files that are renamed from 0409 due to time restrictions (just a few). And Some MUI's i have translated myself.

Sys and OEM will be updated gradually not al at once, at the same time there's really not that much to gain from new SYS.

Must issues arise from the OEM apps anyway so anything that needs fixing for an HTC Device will have Updates there not in the SYS that much.

So my order of importance and gain is in 1. OEM 2. XIP 3. SYS.

Oh and it does have Blackstone's newer ArcSofMMS.

If you look at the package (for who ever is interested). You wil see that it has a ZIP file containing all the Files that go into the templates folder.

As Cooked files need to be COPIED anyway to the new directory.
The zip takes slightly less space then having the files in Windows folder, and it is only one file instead 12 (or so) it then has a very short name.
Others like to optimize the Partitions and builds numbers, i like to optimize the OS.

So any Packages that can work with skins in Subdirs, i will try to apply this method.

Imagine if someone took the time to patch Manilla to work with the Skinfiles from a Subdir (maybe someone already did, i just started cooking for the Diamond les then a week ago). It would take up more space, but it would ROCK in performance far more then you could get out of newer builds and XIP.

Also when selecting the Missed call tab option be sure to also select the Diamond Dialer and if that does not help Manilla freezing then also select HTC_Apps services. (only happens when Missed calls is not cooked with one of the two or both if both dialer and HTC_Apps is cooked this wont happen). My money is that it needs the Dialer but i haven't tested it and won't tonight.

After a few Hours use on the V8 default settings i still have 56.52MB memory left. Without Manilla it boots at 71.19MB free.

Loosing the Diamond Dialer really frees up at least 4 MB of memory. (There's no one to Video Call anyway).

And when i'm going to need Office i cook it it, like putting on different shoes (Yes this is a Friendly Pun for Mike's Fetish)

A Rom A Day Keeps The Doctor Away;)

Interesting project Noonski! Will have a look at it. Been trying to cook my own ROM a while ago but there were to much issues so I used a clean ROM and install my personal tweaks and apps. But the idea to cook my own is still causing some itch ;)

To stay a little on-topic I have one question about your PIM method. Are you synching with Outlook? Looks to me that it would cause some isseus regarding duplicating data on your device or desktop.
Can imagine that it works perfectly when you don't sync at all.

Download finished so I'll have to go and take a look now..

First ROM question:
Why do you have two versions of the phonecanvas in this ROM?
> PACKAGE_ORDE_PhoneCanvas_04133_50_31706_1
> PACKAGE_BlackStone_0409_PhoneCanvas_3_50_32628_1
Seems like one to many?

Seems like you've intentionally left in two versions of some packages (Diamond and TouchHD).
I get it now ;) Flashing first ROM :D

Updating files as we speak (I know it sounds hard but I'm multitaksing atm :P)

Also:
Streaming Media and SIM Manager cause problems because they both contain sm.lnk.

The attachment for Excel is incorrect. It's pointing to the Power package.

Not along Tutorial.

Open Reshacker.exe in \Tools\ResHack folder

Open 0409 MUI file in ResHack

In Menu, Dialog, String Table, RCData & Version info Parts Right click the 1033 or 1028 (depends which language it is set to) and choose "Change Language

For Dutch enter 1043 and press OK.

In the Menu, Dialog, String Table & Version info Translate what is between the
{
}

Parts and then Compile Script after changes.

Save the File.

Rename the File code from 0409 to 0413.

Backup original to other place.

Open signcode.exe in \Tools\WM5Security

Browse to translated file. (Choose All Files from browse Drop down selection)

Choose Custom/aangepast in signature options.

Next choose Select from File.

Browse back to Tools\WM5Security folder.

Choose SDKSamplePrivDeveloper.spc

Press Next and again browse to SDKSamplePrivDeveloper.pvk

Then Choose SHA
Then keep pressing Next Till it completes.

If i'm doing something wrong please to tell, but it's been working for me this way ;)

It might even be that the files don't need signing but it is better this way.

Auto Volume control still needs to be translated from Blackstone MUI.

The new Autovolume control has extra options so the older dutch MUI file will not work with it.

See attached and above ;) (again i proof my mind reading capabilities)

Haven't had the time yet to do so and need to go out in a moment.

The reason it cannot be deselected (or still shows up after deselecting) is because the Registry settings in the .8 version weren't removed from OEM LANG and OEM Drivers.

I have updated this but not uploaded as it needs more then just the new MyControlPanel Package (OEMLang and OEMDrivers to)

In OEM Lang you will find a PROVXML file "mxip_HtcApps_translation.provxml" (which is gone in next version)

Look for these Values

<characteristic type="HKLM\ControlPanel\5">
<parm name="Group" value="1" datatype="integer"/>
</characteristic>

<characteristic type="HKLM\ControlPanel\MyCpl\5">
<parm name="Description" value="Microphone AGC" datatype="string"/>
<parm name="Name" value="Microfoon AGC" datatype="string"/>
<parm name="File" value="MicrophoneAGC.exe" datatype="string"/>
<parm name="CmdLine" value="" datatype="string"/>
</characteristic>

And remove them. (good thing i have backups for reference)

As you will see these values have been carried over to the New Packages in the RGU file.

The cheating way to fix the Missing text in Mike ACG id taking the 0409 file and renaming it to 0413.

Screw that,..;) i have the updated translated MUI and package attached now.

Really great to get feedback.
With the level of Detail going into this Kitchen and the rate i'm going at it's good to iron out details with some help.

I will include the tools in next version.

And i will also update the 0409 folder with the original Packages (not as complete as the eventual dutch versions)

The thing is that most of the Cooking can be done pretty well with just a few tools (Note pad hooray) and simple explanations.

XDA is not a Learn and then post roms Forum. And the Diamond Forum has become more and more of that, which basically will only halt further Evolution of Windows Mobile Tweaking, Hacking and Development. And it is herding more and more Developers and Cooks away.

Cooks will not make better roms by having their Kitchens closed, they will have to relly on their own tests or that of a small closed group.

As a "user", which i ultimately am to, i would like seeing that changed again.

I am not saying that people are not working together, just think it could be better. Being a Moderator has nothing to do with the personal statement and it does not represent the genreal Moderatoring view on this.

You can Turn Large Start Menu into a regular MS service without using the Taskmanager as Bootlauncher. (Magic Taskmanager)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\htcStartMenuService]
"Keep"=dword:00000001
"Order"=dword:0000000A
"Index"=dword:00000000
"Info"=dword:0
"Prefix"="EMX"
"Context"=dword:00000000
"DLL"="\\Windows\\htcStartMenuService.dll"

Then the Question arises Why not make it a service to start with?

Well this way it gets started just a bit later and it can even be timed.

And Someone Claimed it eventually uses less memory.

The Regular Album is actually the same as the the Blackstone version but with a broken sinL.xml file.

I have fixed that now for next version and have that packages (VGA) posted in Blackstone Rom Forum.

Can it be that there is no shortcut created in "Spelletjes" for solitaire and BubbleBreaker?

Please let me know what you prefer. Editing my previous post or creating a new post everytime my brain gets activated by a new bright impusle :P

Found a work around for the Auto Volume problem.
Just remove from the package and add the following registry setting:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Microphone AGC]
"Hide"=dword:00000001Simple, yet effective...

It is the Default Diamond Taskmanager.

There is also the file MMSInstall.mscr. These two files are not removed after installation.

Same trick as the start menu turn it into a regular service.

Yeah the files are set with Dutch Folders in mind.

So in 0409 that would be Startup. But i have streamlined those scripts now, but they will remain Programma's untill i make a 0409 version.

Your going a little beyond Noob Cooking ;)

The Path for programs links are going to be set in the CLASC.mscr file.

The script that runs at second boot will contain a set of these.

if (RegRead( "HKLM", "Software\Mortinstall\LNK", "RSS Hub.lnk" ) eq 1)
UnzipAll( "\Windows\RH.zip", "\Programmabestanden" )

CreateShortcut("\Windows\Appbuttons\RSS Hub.lnk","\Programmabestanden\RSS Hub\RSSHub.exe")
Else
EndIf
What it does is it checks if the registry has.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Mortinstall\LNK]
"RSS Hub.lnk"=dword:1
Set to 1

So if RSS is not selected in kitchen it will not Create the shortcut and install it to programmabestanden.

This removes the need for ProvXML files, initflashfiles and already existing .lnk files as it is now done through the registry. Total File reduction because of this method is at least 300. This is the same as Autoshortcut that also looks at registry keys, But Autoshortcut runs at every startup and the Mortscript only once at second boot.
(i made a super clean version and Explorer opened Windows folder within 2 seconds)

The mortscript will eventually also clean up the registry keys.

As for the reference on the Manila Program launcher i have set these in the RS RGU to.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLaun cher\3]
"DispName"="RSS Hub"
"IconPath"=""
"IsReadOnly"=dword:0
"Path"="\\Windows\\Startmenu\\Programma's\\RSS Hub.lnk"
So when it is not cooked it won't have a blank Link file.

Made a Q & A post for the Taskmanager.

What steps do I need to take to start the Volume Control as a service?

At the moment I have the following code in:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\VolumeOverlay]to:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Service\VolumeOverlay]But that didn't help.

There were some strange keys inside the registry. But I have to reflash to confirm that it's in the ROM and not in my personal config ;)

Noticed that QuickGPS was not downloading data on my device.
There seems to be a key missing. Attached the updated RGU that does work!

Part that was missing:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\QuickGPS]

My first impression was very good, nice to cook a rom that fits my style just by selecting the apps that i want. Performance was good, but most roms are the first few ours.
But after a few days without a reset everything was still running with high performance, very impressive! :)
Normally after trying a rom for a few days i always switched back to Swtos roms because they are really fast, but this is the first time i break that habit because i don't have to switch back for the speed! :D

Yesterday i was bold and extracted the fully animated .30 manila from the 1.37 rom, deleted the some 500+ language files and added it to your kitchen. Selected the option and started cooking (my first rom ever).
After flashing everything was still running with high performance and i had my beloved animations back in TF3D.
Now a day later everything still running superb so it was time to make the next step as junior junior junior cook. ;)

I wanted to change the page pool, to see if that really makes that big difference but the tool i found (Page Pool Changer v2.21) doesn't do the trick. I've read around the forums and some say the Diamond page pool works different compared to other wm6 devices but i can't find how to make this change for de Diamond.
Any advice on how to do it the right way?

Thanx for this great kitchen with your rom included. It made my days sunny in rainy Holland. :)

Also haven't dived into the Page pool changer thing for the Diamond yet.

Nice to hear the smooth performance wasn't just my biased view on something that i make myself.

I believe the kitchens used by some cooks miss a few ingredients.

There's been discussions that using merging all DSM and RGU files into one by mister Bepe, was "Bad" and not being open. Since anyone can download my kitchen and get some of the updated files out of it i don't need to protect my not being open, and can simply remove all those files. (just using all packages to one reduces total file count by almost 400).

I'm still working on a newer version and the updats are a lot.
Found that when you precook the Microphone AGC to being turned on the Volume control in WMP doesn't work correctly and that got corrected.

Also have issues with Youtube sound that are sort of sorted (Will take another day finding out what it is exactly).
And started adding 0409 options directly into the kitchen.

I'm not even yet at 50% of where i would like it to be but nice hearing some good results.

Small update on my first serious ROM journey :)

You can't just add the previous code to the RGU of QuickGPS.
You'll get an error when building the registry (error building default.hv and user.hv)

So I've added the following code by using Mortscript. And it worked.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\QuickGPS]
"Prefix"="GUX"
"Dll"="GPSAux.dll"
"Context"=dword:00000000
"Description"="dll for icon in TodayScreen"
"DisplayName"="QuickGPS app service"
"Order"=dword:000000ff
"Index"=dword:00000000
"Keep"=dword:00000001

Beginning to learn the power of Mortscript also while cooking and flashing.
I'm probably talking steps that could be far more easier, but it works for now. I hope to pollish the ROM the next view days.

I also have to come back to a previous post. You can't just add "Hide" to the registry to hide the AutoVolumeControl.

Also the TaskManager is back in my ROM. There were to many conflicts. Got the EnlagreMenu and LargeIconBar working. But VolumeControl en keyboard font? were causing real problems for me.
So I've decided to keep the TaskManager in but Disabled the button. This way you can still use the TaskManager in the settings tab.

I have some questions that could make my life a little bit easier..
When selecting the packages, is there a way to select all? I've removed the packages I never use, so it's logical that I want to select everything when I start to cook.

Creating packages has been fun and a big pain as well in the well known spot. Causing to recheck, rebuild and do some more research.. ..But I proud of the result I must say.

Now let the finetuning begin!

Can't believe there aren't more people cooking using this project! Please let the rest of us here something. This has got the be the most complete project I've encountered on XDA. Should not even be a problem for non Dutch users. Just don't remove the 0409 folder LOL

Noonski thanks again for your great work and maybe we will see some fine creations that emerged from your project :)

Gheheh while you are working on it you don't know what is going on in the background ;)

</Item>
</Items>
Now if you change it to True it will be selected by default.

But you can also make a set.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16" standalone="yes"?>

</Item>
</Items>Where
<Guid type="i">XXXXXXXX-0d7c-4f1b-8f8c-785dc156dXXX</Guid>Is from another package that then does not need a seperate option.xml.

Maybe I'll release a preview Beta of the New O.R.D.E. Kitchen v1.95.405.1

It should show people how this kitchen is growing towards a kitchen that will have Multiple User Interface Packages.
(Lot of work to do but elections will keep me awake)

All registry settings for all applications wil get more and more grouped. (YoutTube Sound is also fixed)

As to getting an error building the Hives.
When you get that check the end of the lox.txt file in the Temp folder it will tell you where the mistake is and in which RGU file.

Trust me when this hits WWE it wil get more attention and everyone will start using some tricks they haven't seen before.

Maybe you need to ad an extra space at the end of the RGU file or you need to save it as Unicode.

Any good sugestions where to look Noonski for OEM Packages and a kind of How To?
Found something about: autoshortcut.exe If I'm correct it could save a lot of Mortscript when used correctly?
Maybe a bit to far off topic but when you're on a roll it's hard to stop sometimes...

It was Autoshortcut that i was after to replace in first place anyway.

Autoshurtcut works with those ProvXMl files you see in each packet.

It stays in the \Windows\Start Up
Folder and runs at every start up, then sees it has already done the file operations that are in Registry (set in those ProvXML files)

The messy part of Autoshortcut is that it might clean the registry but those Pesky ProvXML files stay in the Windows Folder.

Using mort looks like a bit more scripting, but it leaves no files in the windows folder and it also cleans the registry settings before deleting itself from Start Up.

Having one bigger file in Windows folder is better then having multiple smaller files.

Autoshortcut and ProvXML method also stil require that there is an Actual .lnk file present in Windows folder.

Mort can either create the .lnk file without a physical file.

Weird thing is that the Newer versions of AutoRun.exe seem to still try and run Autoshortcut.exe even without any mention in the config.txt or the file even being present.

As for making Oem Packs the easiest tool is Ervius his Package Creator Attached.

As i was just uploading a new Version of The Kitchen i haven't included it into the Kitchen (yet).

But if you search you will also find a hardcore manual Tutorial by That Guy that had a Cooking Class. (As you can see from my Packages i'm a fan of Manual Labour).

But another great thing about is Ervius Package Creator is that you can also Choose to, euh..... Maybe in a later post,... or leave some space for anyone that would like to write a little something about Modules and why they are cool.

Also next to Autoshortcut HTC likes to keep addind new Services that don't directly show what they are good for. but still run in the background.

For a while they also had a file called atributes.exe in some Ext Roms.

Which they have now replaced with the AutoAttribute.exe Which does nothing more then change the Read Write File atributes from a few files that get copied from Windows folder to \My Docs or other Subfolders.

Again not Needed with My friend Mort (i have openly announced my love to him;)

Damn this Upload is taking it's time (88%)

Default settings for new Version give 63.07 Free Mem at Boot. With Manilla running, but disabled Diamond Dialer, who in these days can accept your Video Calls anyway ;). Will now run this version for 8 hours to see if is stable and how much it drops.

It's Uploaded..

Loads of Improvements and Updated Packages (not version numbers but the Style) and more WWE resources and Options added. Had to go back to a few older 1.93 Drivers due to some issues with YoutTube. Oh yes and it is running the HD Keyboard. Landscape Keyboard looks like shit. But Typing Landscape on your Diamond isn't cool anyway. Nice new Cool Volume Overlay from Volume Control in Youtube and some other Apps. Translated Network Plugin to Dutch. And it has a Brand new StreamingVideoFilter on top of the regular Streaming Media one. Wonder what it's good for. Added AppToDate as Default and the Rom/Kitchen now. it even has build in AppToDate support. In Case i feel like actually doing What Microsoft never does,..... Push out a Quick Fix ;)

Almost forgot it's running the HTC_D3D driver from Blackstone to. (if it really is from HTC)

Thanks for the update.. ..checking and updating my files again :)

Some questions:
What does the Blackstone\Diamond Version Info do?
If it's just a number to show than why choose between the two?

Also, it seems that the file: 2330fc3c_manila is in two places:
X_PACKAGE_ORDE_0413_MORT_SPC_Extras
&
PACKAGE_BlackStone_manila2
For now I've removed the file from the Mortscript folder..

Journey to be continued...

Can't use: PACKAGE_BlackStone_0409_CAMERA_HTC_ALL_6_6_32687_1
The camera won't open if I use this.

Also problems with: PACKAGE_BlackStone_manila2
Keep getting the following messages on the todayscreen: "Tick hier om TouchFLO 3D te openen" and "TouchFLO 3D wordt gestart".

Realy like: PACKAGE_BlackStone_0409_PhoneCanvas_3_50_32628_1
Problem is that when I press "Menu" there are a lot of blank options.

Was thinking I messed up something myself but it seems to be there in the new kitchen as well.

Using the Diamond Phonecanvas: PACKAGE_ORDE_0413_PhoneCanvas_50_31706_1 + PACKAGE_Diamond_VideoTelephony_2_0_31228_0 of course.

Here is what goes wrong:
Open dialpad and type the name of person you look for. No problem!
Recieve or make a call, this way there will be a call log in the dialing list...
Hang up the call and open the dialer again.
Type the name of the person you just called. Now here is where the trouble is. You will see the person and phone number, but where are the option to press left or right to switch between Mobile, Home, Work etc.

Hope it makes sense :)

Of course I've set the option to: "Oproepen en contacten"!

It finds your last made call instead of the contact and does not offer the changing of M>W>E.

The 2330fc3c file holds the weather database Country and city list the Blackstone Manilla holds more as it's bigger.

The Blackstone dialer is missing the bottom part of the dialer. It's in there to play with not a Working version.

Same goes for the Manilla from Blackstone, it's not a full version.

Blackstone camera same thing. People are still playing with these new files and i like to also do some tests with it.

Some applications have a check build into them. they check the version info file and if it's not there it doesn't start.

So for running the Blackstone version info has given no problems for older Diamond Apps.

This is the open part of the kitchen, they are not selected by default but everyone can try and get them working.

For next version Remote tracker will be added.

If you choose to Cook this, it will be set to Look at your
"\Windows\rt.dll"

And because of it's importance this package will get a initflashfiles.txt for this rt.dll, to make it even safer.
Just put the separate rt.dll file created on your PC into the Remote tracker package.

Remote Tracker will be the first Package in the Kitchen to have Full AppToDate Support. (next need to change Wild Berry and Diamond Config)

I have also added the configuration exe in the main folder so you can make your own rt.dll.

Let's fuck em back when they decide to steal your expensive Diamond.

You can even request a KML file of it's current location, Police will be glad to help you out getting it back this way.

From

and Downwards.

These can be checked as examples.

There's still a lot of work to do to get everything done this way.

You can almost replace/add all needed MUI files with those from Official Stock Roms.

To Dump official Rom you would need a Kitchen with extracting Support like the Surface Diamond Kitchen or Diamond Kitchenv4.

WWE Stock Roms can be found on the Wiki

Like what you've done with the shortcuts.

In SPC.mscr there are two lines for creating a shortcut for GoogleMaps:
CreateShortcut("\Windows\Startmenu\Programma's\GPS\Google Maps.lnk","\Programmabestanden\GoogleMaps\GoogleMaps.exe")
CreateShortcut("\Windows\Startmenu\Programma's\Contacten\Google Maps.lnk","\Programmabestanden\GoogleMaps\GoogleMaps.exe")
But it does not make a shortcut in Programma's\GPS. How come?

Hmm Maybe i need to add MakeDir to it.

MkDir("\Windows\Startmenu\Programma's\Contacten")
MkDir("\Windows\Startmenu\Programma's\GPS")

To be on the Safe Side, because my Mortscript that i run from UC does make the shortcut and it has make Dir.

Updated Script.

As you might have noticed i have made all Taskmanager started applications regular services again.

The app To Date ORDE part is there for when i will make a regular rom so if this is to be used on different Roms itm would need to be changed and you would need some webspace to host the Update Cabs.

This makes the setup to work towards a real Unified Rom that can get Messages through the Updates. It's ther for future use i plan to make a few other Packages updateable like Google Maps.

Be fiddling around for hours now and here's some things I've encountered:

MkDir was indeed what fixed the problem for the GoogleMaps shortcut.

For some strange the QuickGPS shortcut is not created. I've checked the registry and the required key is missing. But the files are there. So for some reason it does not write the key to the registry.
Tested this by exluded the delete command from the script, to see if all the keys were created like they should.
This also applies to some other apps (haven't checked them all) The once that I've discovered having the same problem are:
- Messenger\Live
- RSS Hub

PACKAGE_Diamond_JBlendJava_0409_0_0_20080708_1_1
This still has initflashfiles.txt method of creating a shortcut.
I've added the correct lines to the RGU and Mortscript. It's working!

I can't find the location where the shortcuts are created like for example the Address Book. Now it's in Programma's\Contacten\Contacten.lnk
Yesterday I used the move command. But it's nicer to put it in to the destination folder right away.
If you can tell me then I can do the same for the Calendar and Messaging shortcut.

So I suppose there is no solution to the added call log problem in the dialer?
Guess the empty spaces on the Blackstone dialer are there because of the language 0409 instead of 0413?
This is to bad 'cause the only solution is to call the contact from contacts instead of the dialer.
Best option would be not to use it for now, and stick with the WM6 stock dialer.

Gotta get some sleep now, my heads spinning of all the testing and reading..

Programma's\Contacten\Contacten.lnk

Is being created by the default Rom creation method.
So that is the initflashfiles.dat file. Very important first rename the extension to .txt

Then open and you will find the old command that eventually dissapear that creates that link from another link.

After editing rename initflashfiles.txt back to .dat.

You can cheat with the Blackstone Phonecanvas MUI files.

Just rename
ContactAssistDll.dll.0409.mui
To
ContactAssistDll.dll.0413.mui
Etc.

It will pick up the file but give English words ;)

Will do some tests with the failing shortcuts.

Or
As an easy start playing with blackstone dialer try replacing it's phcanOverbmp.dll with the one from Diamond Phonecanvas.

Or use the attached Version with replaced graphics.

Then rightclick
http://rapidshare.com/files/131846783/RUU_Diamond_hTC_Asia_HK_WWE_1.93.831.1.exe

And choose to extract here (7-Zip or Winzip needed)

You wil find an extracted ruu_signed.nbh

Place You wil find an extracted ruu_signed.nbh inside BaseRom folder.

Double click Begin Command and Choose option 1.

Wait and press enter when asked.

After while the rom wil have been dumped into the OEM ans SYS folders where you will find all the WWE resource.

You can also just replace the ROM, SYS, OEM folders in the ORDE kitchen with those extracted folders to simply work with that rom.

Thanks! Now that explains a lot (concerning shortcuts etc.).
Looked at the DAT file.

The next line can be removed as it creates a folder inside the windows folder wich is not needed:
Directory("\Windows"):-Directory("Programma's")Need some coffee and then I will have another look at the dialer :)
Thought I was going crazy on the previous post; "..did I put that attachment there?..." lol

Got the Blackstone to show the strings by renaming the MUI files.
Gonne leave this one alone for now, on the dialer the "0" button seems to be missing, as wel as some pictures while making a call.

Noonski, maybe an idea to add these packages to TEST? This makes it easier when building the ROM :)
Added this myself for now.

I will have a look to fix the dialer problem that's haunting me..

Windows Live and Messenger shortcut are working.
Still searching for a solution for the QuickGPS and RSS shortcuts...

Don't break your head over it.

The graphics position is hardcoded into the Exe files. (same for Landscape keyboard, thanks to DubinBJK for informing me)

So changing this skin is not a good idea.

But on another note HTC will release a new VGA Dialer with the slide to answer function, Heck they even release an Elfin WM6.1 with M2D.

That Programs folder is indeed rarely used. It remains a mystery why its there.

Nah.. I always remove all the fodlers from me ROM whichever has only the stupid dsm files. Even from the XIP and trust me it does work well, without having all those provxml and dsm files for no reason

Out with Streaming Media Player in with WMP..;)

I can stream Youtube Mobile and T-Mobile Television with WMP and it has louder sound.

Now to make WMP default app for this....

I need some other mobile streaming sites to test some other rtps protocols.

And i gave birth to the A_SYSLANG_0413 package ;) OEM is at 70% complete for MUI support.

Went Hybrid to 1.96 Diamond Build.

Attached the Streaming Codec with a few added registry keys so RDP and rtps open in WMP. With the attached package there is no more need for Streaming Media Player from HTC.

And for those that will be using some of these Packages, i can track them.

Still searching for a solution for the QuickGPS and RSS shortcuts...

After you copy a package so you can make it another language, you rename the DSM and RGU with a new GUID.

BUT

In the DSM files there is also the original GUID. You need to alter these too or else BuildOS can't create the necessary registry entries and thus MortScript won't run it's scripts and apps looks buggy.

If you want to know which packages gives problems, it's in the \temp\log.txt after you run BuildOS (and didn't close it yet ;))

I'll have a look at the DSM files. For now I just added createshortcut commands for the packages I always install.

The new Streamingmedia has a conflict with YouTube: "voFltRTSP.dll".

1tester01

The problem is not only the shortcuts, but the complete RGU file with all of his setting won't be imported in the registry.
Only creating shortcuts will work for QuickGPS but for RSSHub and lot's of other apps won't because of the extra information in the RGU.

For a really light rom there are already 25+ RGU files that cant be read in the registry because of this DSM problem, imagine a bit more full rom build and wat it will do with how you experience the rom.

The nice part is that it is easy to fix it, open a DSM in notepad and scroll until you find both the GUIDs (visually it has spaces between the numbers of the GUID) Carefully replace the GUID (number by number) and your phone will run a lot better with less bugs.

Well the voFltRTSP.dll should not be in Youtube packages and hasn't been in there in a lot of YouTube Packages:(.

What i did do is ad the RtspHandler.dll from
PACKAGE_ORDE_0413_StreamingMedia_3_0_1817_3931
to the
PACKAGE_ORDE_StreamingSrcFilter_0000_2_5_1821_922

So it's a bit of Choose or Die ;)

Yup, when i see other people's packages (except for Switfblades and of course not everyone's packages), and i even i have usually blank dsm files.

But on this project i'm constantly recreating the DSM files for changed and added packages and indeed giving them unique new UID numbers so they won't conflict with official packages (what a work).

I should have posted that indeed rectreating those DSM file solved that issue to indeed. As one of the first things i do when something goes wrong with a package is make a whole new UID and fresh DSM file from blank text file and then populate it.

I should at at least BUILdDSM.exe into the tools folder for this.

Nize to have you on board.

So McCune if you need to recreate a DM file to trouble shoot.
Open it in notepad and make it empty.

Drag the option.xml file and initflashfile.txt from that package temporarily out of that package.

Then Drop the package folder ONTO the attached builddsm.exe file.

It will re populate the DSM file with the package contents.

Don't let 1tester01 fool you with his Junior 11 posts, he clearly has done his homework.
Nice to have you on board.

My most visited site of the last days has been

This is where the projects ends for me for now. After installation I the device did a soft reset. And after this it would not wake up anymore.
Tried to remove the battery and SIM for a couple of minutes. Charge indicator isn't working either.

Strange thing is yesterday I had to perform a soft reset and it would not wake up either. After a while it did wake up so there were some indications that something was about to happen...

The only thing I did that was not according to this kitchen was I use my own splash screen when creating the ROM. Have done this multiple times, but it always gave the message that the file was to big. But like I said. Did this to multiple ROM's without a problem.

Will try to send it in for repair...

I also see a post with

If yes, how do I merge these newer files with the kitchen (first file) I downloaded?

Yeah that is sad to hear.

I've pretty much lucked out a lot with not having dead devices (Except for a dead SPV Screen and twice broken USB port on Wizard and bad Mini jack port on SDA which all fell under hardware guarantee.)

I have had very good experiences with T-Mobile and their guarantee and i don't believe i have read stories about people not getting their device repaired under situations like these.

Reality is that Support and repair in most cases do not have the time to fully investigate the Rom on the device.

Again, really fucked up.

Hope you get it back sson.

What do we need Noonski?

MUI Files For Germany and the paths to most of the German folders.

Defaul.hv & User.hv and initflashfiles.dat should hold most the info needed (and of course the name of te Internal Storage on German Rom.

0413 are packages with Dutch Modifications
0409 are needed for WWE (not possible yet put the packages are filling up more and more.
0000_ are language independent and need in some case in conjuction with either a 0409 0r 0413 package.

I know there was a Diamond Config folder named differently.

The remote trakcer is new.

Uploading now O.R.D.E. Kitchen v1.95.405.3

Should be up in 30 minutes,

You will find a lot of Blackstone named Packages that actually aren't Blackstone packages.

I used the new ELFIN Rom and Blackstone roms as guides to separate as much as possible and then went a bit beyond it.

There is no more OEMLANG folder

Everything that was left from OEMLANG was moved to PACKAGE_ORDE_Z_MORT_SPC_Extras_0413
OEMDRIVERS & OEMOPERATORS have also been cleaned of localistaion and registry settings have been moved to their coresponding packages.

From PACKAGE_ORDE_AdvancedNetwork_0000_1_0_9_0 downwards it is pretty much finished. If anyone has the time and icentive to seperate and corect packages above those, using the finished packages as guide, please be my geust.

Download removed big Bug.

Well i ran into an issue, where even slightly changing the Bluetooth Package would make the error come up "No Bluetooth device detected"

And i'm now slowly doing a package a day.

So the version i'm on now is actually behind the last uploaded version and a ahead in a few other fields.

Slowly removing all separate option.xml files and putting all values into one main option.xml

So in the end you can trade and post your own personal Build/option.xml.

Hm might be the Bluetooth issues i was having are related to a newer Simmanager. (one more test Flash and hopefully that should be solved then)
(Edit Nope is just broke all by itself... Aarcgh)

I have just learned and am implementing a new trick.

The installation script will be a bit smarter.

For instance if you don't install Office Word Base.

It will not create the Office Mobile Folder in start menu.

If Word Base is detected it will then check if it needs to make the High Res VGA Icon for the Office Folder or the regular QVGA icon (for me handy as i can use The Oems and Script across multiple devices)
And it will also Check if it the 0413.MUI files exist so it knows which Startmenu or Start Menu to place these in.

If the Office Mobile Folder does not exist it will put the link for Calculator in Programs. If the folder exists it will put it inside.

This should make the end result a bit more dynamic and smart if you choose to not cook some items. (and for me it solves a few script errors when it tried to make links in a folder that did not exist)

Oke Finally i can get back on track.

Bluetooth issue was related to the enlarged start menu being Modules.

Now also removed FWUpdate thanks to kokotas and Ababrekar.

Free Memory after boot on the UC Version (Ultra Clean after Ababrekar's ELFIN UC Rom) 63.24MB (TouchFlo Running) And it's not as clean as it's going to be. I will upload a new version when the OEM Folders have been completly Seperated for Multi Language Support. Might be at least a week at this rate.

Update

After some amazing Quick Work Big Steps towards a German version by a great crew from http://www.ppc-welt.info and XDA German Vets, that want to Bring Easy Cooking To More Languages all in one Kitchen (marketing manager took control of my account).

Remember Statistically Germans are not the ones that drink the most beers, but that doesn't mean they don't like it.

I would like to thank the few hunderds of downloaders for enjoying their own personal Roms.

Remember just because this is an Open Rom does not mean that Roms created can be posted unless they are significanly different.

This is meant for your own personal use not For Posting More Roms to the Forum or other Forums.

Well When you Cook and don't Quit after a year and keep popping up on different site you can consider yourself a veteran old man.

I can say that i work on this a little each day.

Just be sure to have a backup of your previously used version and settings.

As the WWE and German version will need good testing but i think Pkopers already has an army willing to test the sh!t out of that.

So it's back to cooking when i get home later.

Will for sure have a new Dutch Version finished this weekend.

You can also help by posting packages fror apps that aren't in the kitchen yet.

Not a huge list as all packages will need to be in WWE\NL\DE.

What's the idea behind the Opera ZIP file? Why can't we use a OEM package for this? Now it takes up double the space since you have the ZIP + installation afterwards...

Small note about the nightly build I just downloaded.

File:

Has double settings:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settin gs]
"SMSNoSentMsg"=dword:0

One other thing I've noticed. You've changed "Intern geheugen" to "Intern Geheugen".

In the file mentioned above there are still some occurences that have the old value without the capital "G".

Will continue updating my files and will get back asap :)

Yeah i saw those Double Values before.

I once took (removed to OEMLANG) some registry settings out of the OEM drivers like the internal storage one. It caused Internal Storage to disappear. Even thought the Registry was in the OEMLANG RGU. So from that piont i tried leaving the OEMDRIVERS RGU alone untill the rest is finished.

I did recheck for Capitol G in the OEMLANG and OEMDrivers RGU but could not find it.

If you don't like the new Icons Replace the shellres.192.dll.0413.mui with a renamed shellres.192.dll (renamed to shellres.192.dll.0413.mui)

Opera needs time and motivation (the right moment) i already have the QVGA version but i also need to learn the Language Separation in the Extra cabs it has. So it's in the planning.

Hey i did Check Lego.

I think having the german and WWE finished will give this a boost.

I'm well aware that sometimes a project that takes longer (Bepe's Rom or Elite Team Rapheal rom) , sometimes don't get the response that the Cooks expected. But at the moment i'm pretty sure that the style that is being used won't be outdated once it's done. But if you look at the Kitchen you can see that i like to take each piece into account, and everything passes a hand. So the downside of ORDE is that Almost everything is not as a default rom. It has, to if it's going to be a True MultiLanguage Kitchen for Noobs.

I could have started with a WWE version from, start but working backwards from NL after two years of only working on WWE really helped my understanding of localization.

But at the moment i think that the mortscript installation for some still is something very new and comes across more complex then cooking needs to be.

Tonight my planning also went a bit of because of a family meeting.

Done some testing before upgrading my stuff to: O.R.D.E. Kitchen v1.96.405.5

Is this ment to be used for cooking already?

Found one issue:
When enabling: PACKAGE_ORDE_OutlookEnhancement_0000_1_0_33540_3

I get the following error: Can't find .....\temp\dump\PACKAGE_ORDE_0404_Cyberon_Dictiona ry_0404_1_55_805071_R1\imageinfo.bin

I have to say I disabled the Cyberon Packages. Can it be that I don't need this OutlookEnhancement Package?
Could not really find what this actually does..

Small update: I tried enabling the CyberonVoiceSpeedDial. There is no difference..

Good one, there was a package inside that package.

Just Cut the folder inside OutlookEnhance and paste it into the main OEM folder.

I never enable Outlook enhancement. As far as i understand it's a service to change the "reply to" option to a "reply to all" option?!?

The Cyberion Talking Dictionary is not a necessary app but it is kind of cool once you get through the interface that i can't get translated.
(you search the english word then play it)

The Reply change to Reply to all is the same info I could find. I'll leave it out for now.

Do you consider v1.96.405.5 to be good enough to use for now? Or are we advised to wait a little?

Noticed you've changed a lot of icons, do you want to change all of them? At the moment it looks kinda strange when you have a few black and colored icons in the settings panels.

v1.96.405.5

Is good enough to use.

The icons can be easily left out by removing the shellres.192.dll.0413.mui from OEMLANG.

I have replaced some more icons the last week. I want a very boring rom for myself with a lot of greyscales.

Found a better way to make the mortscript smaller and support MultiLanguage.

if (FileExists( "\Windows\RH.zip" ))
UnzipAll( "\Windows\RH.zip", SystemPath("ProgramFiles") )
CreateShortcut(SystemPath("ProgramsMenu") \ "RSS Hub.lnk" , SystemPath("ProgramFiles") \ "RSS Hub\RSSHub.exe")
CreateShortcut("\Windows\Appbuttons\RSS Hub.lnk", SystemPath("ProgramFiles") \ "RSS Hub\RSSHub.exe")
Else
EndIf

That will take of 66% eventually of the script size ;)

I've noticed quite some changes in the last version of this project. Therefore I borrowed some packages from the new project to update my old one.

In time I will have to gather my personal changes etc. to update to this last version.

Actually like the vibrant colors of the new icons :D But it would be nice if they would all look as one color scheme.. ..But that's purely something cosmetically. I've edited some DLL files myself so I have to merge a few here and there..

I also used the ROM folder from the updated project. Seems to be working fine. The new ROM file is actually smaller. Just gaining some extra MB's haha..

One thing that's driving me crazy is the dialpad problem. The biggest frustration is that the bug is not always there! Like explained before, when I call a contact (with multiple numbers) it shows up in the call history but the arrows and option to switch between number types has gone.
A friend of mine was also testing my project and it works on his device.
So I've flashed my phone again and one time it looked like it was working, but after another flash it wasn't anymore.

This is what I've figured out so far about this issue:
It's related to the SmartDial function (not the Diamond dialer). I can tell because when the default dialer is enabled the problem still exists.
I've updated "Phone_DPI_192" with the "Phone" folder from the updated project but that doesn't seem to solve it either.

I know it's a bug and not a "feature" so if somebody has any bright ideas please share!

Been reading some good stuff about the new 2.xx ROM so I'm curious if this will be intergrated to the ORDE Project. But for now it seems like an early Beta to me.

As soon as I'm moving to the last project I'll share my experienses here of course. Great project!

Noticed that I have to instances of "Intern Geheugen" when using the HTC album.

Second thing is that I just can seem to get a connection using HTC Streaming Media.

only brought over a few drivers and Manilla from the 2.0 build.

If you have your own packages make sure you give them a unique new UID number and it's own separate Option.xml file. And your own name in the Package Naming Scheme (like i did with XBOD Mods Package)

All option.xml files should eventually be gone from the Standard packages.

If you have good tips on parts that van be disabled without screwing up basics.

Never paid that much attention to the Left right arrows in the Recent list of the Dialer. But it feels like they where never there for me. I will put it on my little "To Check after every Flash list"

I'll check the Album RGUat home later, unless you beat me to it.

Luckily i updated the script for GoogleMaps yesterday. (GMM 2.3.09)

Can you tell me if your enabling GoogleMaps in the Kitchen options? (BuildOS)

And if you can Zip and Post the spc.mscr i can put the new installation lines in there.

hmm left the google maps out, seems that there more programs that dont work , such as the youtube and the jblend java, streaming media , pocket rar and extern bureaublad (i installed the 0413 versions)

also the tf3d doesnt start with: no backgr on all pages, zoom on and the call tab on..

Coming
1....

Replace the SPC.mscr.

Remove the GooglePackages and replace with the newer ones.

And also replace the files inth OEM_Lang_0413.zip

All are attached i'll check the rest.

If they are wrong they'll be easily fixable and i'll upload the latest version of everything.

Except for the Manilla Combo that's a bit harder.

Call tab will always need the Diamond Dialer or it will freeze Manilla.

I have to asume that your also off course checking the 000 main package versions for the apps?

larsjeee

problem is that everyone uses different packages, so maybe there are other users who dont have any errors, if there is a minor program missing, or for example the tf3d can also be changed by .cab files widely available on the xda forums so i won't update the complete rom again..

now trying with the updated googlemaps and script file...
changed also some packaged that gave errors last time...

update:
everything seems to work now, exept for 1 error i get when i go to the foto tab: het bestand album searcher kan niet worden geopend..
can i install this by putting the missing files in my windows dir, so that i dont have to flash the phone again..

when the tf3d is installed as it is default everything works... (except for the album searcher)

Jblend froze on first start up and froze rom. But after a hard reset it was working.

I'm going to try with the 0409 mui files but renamed, might be something that went wrong in Translating the MUI.

Check if you have the Manilla files as Modules.

I have switched to regular files one or two builds ago (new Manilla) i can also upload that one.

If albumsearcher i usssually move from the album folder to Manilla 0000 folder (in case i leave album out the Foto Tab should still work)

Modules are the folders with the .bin .txt and 001 002 files.
They house the original file with the same name as the folder.

Rename the Folder with an X in front of it's name then cut the actuall DLL MUI or EXE out of the folder into the Package folder and delete the now empty folder. You don't need the bin txt or 001 files anymore. These just tell which location the files have in Memory.

The trouble with to much modules (specific ones) is that they can affect entirely different packages. So i'm going to be a bit safer with making modules out of files.

The renamed MUI files seem to solve Jblend.

So translating the Jblend Files again will go in the freezer for now, rather have one non translated device then spend to much time on it while still needing to complete the Full Multi language support.

Maybe Some one has the time to pick the Jblend translation and testing as a side project.

See attached the Updated Manilla Main Folder 1.35 from 2.0 Test Rom. And the Fixed Jblend Java 0413 Package (it's Enlish MUi renamed to 0413, but it fixes the issue). And the Manilla has the missing AlbumSearcher.

If you get an error of double Albumsearcher remove it from Album package.

Did you also check the streaming Source filter when selecting srteaming media.

Because the streaming source filter has the rtps handler dll because the source filter package on it's own is enough to stream media through WMP.

Wel i'm testing the order of the streaming Media files.

As the sourcefilter was processed after streaming media it was overwriting the File Open with Registry setting.

So streaming media would sometimes still open in WMP even with streaming media selected. Now testing the different order.

If there are parts your disabling without issues, feel free to post them as i'm trying to make the base selection as Clean as possible to the bare.

No thanks , and thank you.

Opening streaming files is now also determined through the installation script.

Compared the RGU with Album packages from different kitchens. No strange things actually. Can anyone confirm that "Intern Geheugen" is also shown twice on their device when selecting a folder inside HTC Album?

Updated the GoogleMaps Package with v2.3.0.9. Works fine for me. Attached for those who are interested.

Also attached my updated Album Package. Seems there were some arrows missing. Also used an updated EXE file.

It's an Open rom but the Foundation isn't finished for it to be also Managed as Open yet.

So i don't know if there's specific packages that you add or changes you make.

But if you've got them i can incorporate them as standard into the kitchen.

You can then post your option.xml (once there is only one option.xml where i'm working at slowly)

And all one needs to do to flash your flavour is replace the option.xml.

Same will go for WWE and German so a user does not need tom ontick and retick eacht Language specific Package. There'l be an option.xml file that allready has the basic Language packages ticked and unticked.
(and a ORDE.htcrtproj file to for different language)

Most the guys i've worked with and am working with have had their share of public roms.

And we have always worked and helped each other.

But there was always the problem that you could not always help each other out because one persons kitchen is not the other persons kitchen.

In the end everyone wastes a lot of energy on finding solutions because everyone has a completely different set up.

Now if there is an issue on a part that someone is working on each of us know what where talking about as we all have the same structure and files to look at.

"My Rom" is the one with the settings i leave in as default. As soon as those settings are changed it's the Rom of the person that changed it.

mccune

I understand... ...I actually do both.. I do add my own packages. But I also replace MUI\DLL files because I want to use different icons for example.

Another thing I've done is translated\modified some programs. This is just for personal use so I did not contact the actual developer (I should do this).

I will continue supporting this project by posting my experiences!

Just like I did with the GoogleMaps and HTC Album package.

If I can help out in any other way I glad to help during my spare time :D

Fixed my double instance of "Intern Geheugen"!

Noticed that I've changed some strings from: "Intern geheugen" to "Intern Geheugen".

Changed that inside:
OEM_Lang_0413
But I've noticed that I had to change it also inside:
PACKAGE_ORDE_0413_LockStreamDRM_1_1_080411_O9_Diam ond_12

This issue will be gone on the updated project since you've seperated those parts. Funny how sometimes things can come up to mind when thinking about a solution ;)

That's why i coulnd't find it here. The lockstream i was using now had small G. (new term Small G).

Usually the rule is whatever you use for your self is game. as long other people's work apart, looking at it and learning from it. It's what everybody does. And most of the time you contact the developer will get you a positive reply. At least in the experiences I've had.
You've been around you've probably seen when it gets ugly.

Sometimes i'm even paranoid, thinking if i've by accident stepped on some toes.

I've replaced \SYS\PHONE and \SYS\PhoneRedist from a different kitchen. Problem is still there..

Flashed the lastest ORDE project to be 100% sure it's not something I did on purpose. And I can confirm that it's also a bug on the latest release.

It has nothing to do with the PhoneCanvas cause the problem exists even after disabling the Diamond Dialer. So my guess would be that it has something to do with the smartdialer, but I can't find any hints on this one :(

To save the settings "Eventually" all you need to do is edit the option.xml file in the OEM folder.

But at the moment i still have to remove al the seperate option.xml files.

HD Keyboard i'm also adding to my Quick Fix First list.

The rule is "It's safe as long as don't select less then i have selected ;)".

When you deselect Opera (which is still a Cab installation) you have to look for the config_operator.txt file in the OEMoperators and remove the Line which holds the Opera Cab. (not a work aroundbut the only way until i Break Opera apart to MortZip Package)

I Don't, I use TouchPal, a traitorous ex XDA member (joking around he's just missed now that he has an Iphone) once donated a license because i loved TouchPal and Still Think it Rocks.

Dutty 3.6 and the LEGO ROM's seem to have smaller bullets (also applies for the check symbol) the used for selection. Like TotalCommander, when you tick "Show" it shows a bullet for the current selection. In the current ORDE ROM these two symbol symbols are rather large. This prevents the cook to use a smaller font :(

Any tips on this one? (decided to attach a screenshot to make it more clear)

A little off topic. The Nataly ROM is very fast! Any change we ORDE users can have this speed improvement as well?

If you look at the results from the benchmarks you see that they are already pretty close in the overal end result. The Biggest difference for now is the XIP that Mondeliv's using. And my first go on changing to that XIP had a bad result. In th weekend i'll take another look at that.

Okay the Blackstone Inout issue is an easy one just remove the folders PACKAGE_Diamond_XT9_IME & PACKAGE_Diamond_XT9_IME_0413

I know this ROM is also fast in the benchmarks, but I don't rely on them since it's more important to me how fast a ROM feels. The ORDE ROM certainly feels fast but the new 2.0 OS seems to load folders in the start menu a lot faster.

Aaah that means the Cache settings have been modified.

I have some packages for those settings.

Check these Settings at that ROM

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE]
"limit"=dword:8000

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Filters\f sreplxfilt]
"ReplStoreCacheSize"=dword:4096

(Missing one more Cache setting here but watching Footbal again so can't access everything right now)

To start with.

You can find the related registry keys to enabling certain caches in the Advanced Config xml file.

(These are ELF values Diamond can have bigger values because it has more Memory)
(this decreases memory after using the device a bit longer as it caches Icons into memory.)(Cycling more/larger memory/cache means your phone needs to work a little more, a downside that not a lot of people take into account when it comes to power management)

A Larger cache usually results in the device starting a bit slower and it will gradually fill it up.

If you browse a lot of folders a larger cache is good for you, also a larger cache has a good effect on some of the slower loading Tabs of TouchFlo.

I have already made those changes in my kitchen but still it doesn't seem as fast as the 2.0 ROM's.
It does help on YouTube actually, it kinda stutters when you use default values.

Been cracking my head over the dialer problem.

Has anyone any idea where I need to search? As said before I've tried the OEM\Phone folder. But it doesn't make any different. Now I need an alternative program to switch between the contact number types :(

It's really cumberstone to take extra steps to dial people on different numbers.. ..I'm a bit lost here ;)

Well i noticed that the German Version i'm working on ATM does have the options. Let's see if i stumble upon the file or setting.

Version .3 should be online anyday soon check post three for the update.

It has the (almost original after i manhandled it) SYS folders. It should hopefully hold Clues in the Phone_ folders. (haven't looked for it)

But there will be plenty of times the coming days to look at it.

Atached a patched Touch Response specifically for the Diamond, Nice days to every one.

Also attached the new Extra Icons File (just rename to dutch MUI code 0413).
It has a a new Diamond Loading Animation, like the one you see in the Album and on some of the Tabs when they are indexing.

More info here:

Updated a few Mistakes and Packages.

I must put rt.dll into folder PACKAGE_ORDE_RemoteTracker_0409_0_2_0-0 or into file rtconfig.zip?
(OEM&SYS) which packages can I safely delete from folder and oem and sys?

I build the rom, but the folder programfiles / rtconfig only has the file rt.dll. I must unzip the file rtconfig?

Make your own rt.dll with \Tools\Remote Tracker Config

Then replace it.

You can leave the .zip file that gets extracted during the second boot after Autorun (by the Mortscript installation)

This basically installs remote tracker as if it where a Cab file it can be updated with apptodate. But it doesn't leave the regular Clutter of a cab installation.

The rt.dll goes into the folder not the zip file.

The script for remote tracker takes into account Several places where the rt.dll could be.

Orde is based on the Surface Kitchen but with some add ons.

Most of these issues should not be in the latest version, but that's german for now. I'm so close i can hopefully switch back to NL and WWE after that.

But if there's a duoble 2330fc3c_manila then it's more likely to be in OEM_LANG or the Package_ORDE_Manilla

If you zip up your Remote Tracker folder and the SPC.mscr, i can figure out what is happening in that version. And maybe i'm lucky and have the triple language version done before next year.

I think just today with little time i've flashed 10 times, looking at Anrufliste for a week now. Maybe if Boto would be able to get a diamond a Portugese version would be possible. Future talk.

Keep at it include and Exclude and reflash that's the way of the Cook!

My Portugese is pretty bad to be honoust.

But hopefully i understood enough to conclude that the script breaks a little before it gets to those Zip Packages. Or the Disable certificates isn't doing it's job stopping Mortscript from running.

Does it create the shortcuts mentioned in the script?

Are you making it 0409 or 0413? I'll test the version your using later on today.

But you would be better of using the http://rapidshare.com/files/173159155/O.R.D.E._Kitchen_v1.97.161.9.exe (1.9 version) as that is newer and has those separate updates included.

A bit confusing, using Google Translate to get some info on the Portuguese posts. Maybe stick to English, a bit easier to read for the most of us :)

@Marcolero
You are using a separate kitchen? Why not stick to O.R.D.E project?

Did you try to cook the ROM without changes? This way you can track back the problem by looking at the changes you've made afterwards.

Have to admit that I didn't look at the Remote Tracker as I'm still on O.R.D.E. v1.95.405.1.

Hope to update after the holidays.

Eurekah!

Sometimes a solution is so simple that you just can't think of it becuase your looking at it the hard way.

Instead of moving all Language related Registry settings from their original RGU in SYS and OEMdrivers i put language variables of these RGU files into a separate folder in the kitchen.
Choosing the Language option then copies the RGU files into the correct Folders.

Hopefully this looks like the last piece of the Puzzle for the First Ever MultiLanguage Noob Kitchen.

Release date Januari the 20th for WWE, NL en DE my Birthday present.

to prevent language errors additionally change on boot.rgu inside ROM folder the MUI location. here are 2 lines that need to be changed to the desired language code.
i havent tested what happens if more languages are included than 1 inside. boot.rgu. maybe removing it completly from there could make it multilanguage as desired.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MUI]
"SysLang"=dword:407 <--- language code
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\MUI]
"CurLang"=dword:407 <--- language code

wrong language code on boot.rgu inside rom /xip can make device freeze on start.

Yup thanks i also had those already setup. (where where you weeks ago when i didn't post the issue and lost all y hair)
I attached the Batch file i'm using.
It should prove that it's going to be possible.

It's not the most nicely written batch file but it works.

Was just going through the SYS folders to check any last RGU's that i can't overlook. (but stopping at Shell folder for know, way on schedule)

Finally After a little bit over two months of work the second goal has been achieved.

The First ever MultiLanguage Support NOOB Kitchen.
Now It Cooks you either a German or A Dutch Rom without the need of knowing what goes on underneath the cooking hood.

Oh yes it's going to Rock.

Small update concerning the switching number type bug on called numbers.

Well Hopefully i Found the Issue.

Try adding/checking these Registry values to the Base_Lang_0413 RGU file.

Shit that still doesn't fix it, but we're close.

hello,

I'm very happy to be able to make a small and personal rom.
But would it be possible to save my last romsettings in the buildOS program?

Note to self: optimize dialer, get HD FSP, test teeter and gsensor from sub.

Because I' trying different things it would be handy to change in stead of start from your setup.

I realy like the new OS, and really love this project

Vette shit!!

All Options in the new version can be changed at "\Options\NL.xml"

You can save your personal settings there now.

My girlfriend had to go shopping with her sister. Such a shame, now what does a man do in this case? Drink beer or... ...hack it's almost 1:00 PM.. ...downloading latest O.R.D.E now!

Ontopic:
Do you want us to contribute language oriented packages? Or will any package do? Some of mine are WWE since it's not possible\allowed to change it :)

WWE is fine, but if they include MUI files i'll handle it. Anything will do as Mort can take into account the variables of language differentiation. (where did my spell check go)

Here's my first list of things I've encountered:

This build does not have the OS.NB file in the ROM folder!
Used an "older" file to check things, this works.

Also the vcredist_x86.exe file is not inside this latest build.

I've changed the ReadMe file according to the steps the user has to follow.

I've modified\optimized the Cook & Flash File (see attachment):
- If no choice has been the use gets notified.
- Second time the program will exit if no choice has been made.

When cooking the English build without any changes I get:
file: temp\dump\Assets_dialer_Normal.bmp already exists.

Cause: File exists already inside:
PACKAGE_ORDE_PhoneCanvas_0000_White_OG
PACKAGE_ORDE_PhoneCanvas_0000_Black

Both files are not checked though.
Edit: This has been fixed by me by modifying the EN option file!

It seems that the option files of English and Dutch are very different. Shouldn't they be the same? Except for the language switches of course.
Saw that the German and Dutch are very similar so I've updated as much as I could find to the English options (See attachment). It's actually a Dutch file with the correct language switches.
There we're quite some differences with the original file so this seems like the best way to solve this problem.
Note: The Dialer error is gone to with this updated file!

Some comments about the option files:
It seems there are no English references for:
PACKAGE_ORDE_App_Service_dll_0409
PACKAGE_ORDE_BluetoothSetting_0409

Only 0413 and 0407 are available. My guess would be that 0407 is English in this case since they are enabled in the English option file.

The default value for the Standard WM Dialer was set to false. This would give problems I guess so I've change the German, Dutch and English file to True in this case! (Also in the attachment)

The next parts we're in the EN options and my guess would be they should also be in the Dutch and German option files:
There changes are already in the attachments!
<Item name="PACKAGE_ORDE_AutoRun_0000_4_31_6_2" group="Autorun" checked="True">

</Item>There are some differences concerning the SocialNetworksEngine.
Germand and Dutch are using: pfcsabre
English is using: XBOXMOD

Since I can't find the XBOXMOD package I've change it to pfcsabre's package.

Sorry if it's not all clear to the reader since this was my "memo" file where I took notes while checking out this latest build :)

I hope I did some useful work for this project :)

Good stuff.

Most of it can be explained.

I've added a link on where to get and place he os.nb file. The total package went beyond the 200MB file limit of rapidshare so i had to slim it down.

Updated the Cook batch file with your additions, thanks a lot, batch files are not my best friends, as you can see i've used a very creative way to make it work but maybe not the most correct way.

The English file isn't finished yet so i didn't do anything to it yet.

I removed the autorun option from the XML file because disabling it screws the whole rom so instead of having it as an option i removed it to enforce it to be installed.

The appservice and bluetooth have the English language strings embedded in themselves that's why they don't need extra MUI files.

So only German and Dutch will flash successfully for sure, i still need to add the BaseLang_0409 for the third language.

The default WM dialer does not need to be selected for the Dialer to work, but it might be related to the Missed calls issue.

I was planning the Dutch option file once the English missing files where added, but you've just helped out with supplying it. And i'm adding and removing some of the options i have changed since yesterday.

I changed the Xbod package to pfcsabr because through the pfcsabr package i found out you need to need the older Social network engine to go with the specific Album to fully work.

Since you are the leader of the gang I'll leave the changes up to you. Was just a rough setup from my side ;)

Good thing concerning splitting the OS file. This actually saves space. Didn't notice it so I had to find out what caused my error. Thanks for clearing that up!
I should read before I post.. ..it's even in the quote! :(

When I select:

PACKAGE_ORDE_Labyrinth_0000_1_3_7071031_0
and
PACKAGE_ORDE_Labyrinth_0413

It shows up as a folder inside the games folder.

Fixed this by changing the folowing:
File:
SPC.mscr
Original Line:
WriteFile("\Windows\Startmenu\Programma's\Spelletjes\Teeter.l nk", "\Windows\Labyrinth.exe")
Changed into:
CreateShortcut("\Windows\Startmenu\Programma's\Spelletjes\Teeter.l nk", "\Windows\Labyrinth.exe")

Hi Noonski,

I found that that the SRS-WOW package (PACKAGE_ORDE_SRS_WOW_0000_1_2_10_0)
is still a cab and it also includes an additional version of AudioBooster.exe which
obviously ;-) conflicts with the AudioBooster package when selected.
You might want to use my SRS package (attached) instead and copy the AudioBooster.mscr
file into this one ?

Great effort anyway, keep it up ...

I'll check it out, i had some issues adding SRS wow as a package before. It would freeze the device at first boot, so i just left it. So if this works, thanks for the addition.

It's a personal thing even though Windows Media uses loads of more memory with SRS wow i like the sound much better, but only in the summer. In the winter i'm wearing a beannie al the time making the sound go lost anyway. I'll make the AudioBooster.mscr as an extra option then less conflict.

Thanks for sharing.

Ooops, I forgot one more thing ...

The manila file 26948339_manila is included as well in PACKAGE_ORDE_Manila_0000_1_1_35345_1_1630_38 as it is in PACKAGE_ORDE_Manila_CallTabOFF and in PACKAGE_ORDE_Manila_CallTabON which is obviously conflicting. I did remove it from the Manila_0000 package.

Also it would be nice to have Total Commander as a package in O.R.D.E. that's
why I attached it. Mind that this is a German package ;-) but the english file
is included. The Language is determined by

"LANGUAGE"="\\Programme\\Total Commander\\Deutsch.lng"

Your unlucky, i just changed the Gsensor and Teeter Packages ;) Check the Long Changelog at version.6.

They are both now installed through a zip package into a Subfolder, and i made a new icon for Gsensor.

I'll check the regular Commanager. By Treo CommM, do you mean the regular Windows Mobile Version or the extra tab in TouchFlo?

It won't be in the next version but I'll ad it to the next version.

(i always install it by adding a shortcut to Programs through a mortscript during UC SD Autorun)

It's starting to look more and more like an open Project this makes me Happy.

Also might have found why my other SRS package didn't work, i forgot the Certificate.

I have to assume a little bit here. But is it not setting up the correct Provider settings?
If this is correct in another ROM i can add that roms specific Connection Wizard Database as extra option.

Hi Noonski,

a few more slight glitches I came across today testing the German version nothing much,
so it could maybe go into the next release?

When I select Labyrinth and Entertainment I have two directories under
\Windows\Startmenü\Programme 'Games' and 'Spiele' - 'Spiele' for Teeter and 'Games' for
the others. I did not test Light Sabre but I saw it also goes into Games.

It would be much nicer if we could get all of them under Spiele ;-). I understand that
distinguishing between the languages and thus defining the directories is not an easy task
but can't we set up variables for the different directories to be able to better select
language dependent directories while still have easy scripts ?

I found calculator ended up in the 'Office' directory (\Windows\Startmenü\Office Mobile).
I did only find it by accident - I would have never searched in 'Office' ;-). Can we please
have it back in \Windows\Startmenü\Programme ?

I tried the 'connectionSetupAuto' package and it did nothing - is this package meant to be
used in conjunction with the 'connectionSetup' package? Connection Setup on its own
works fine.

Sometimes it's not easy to select the packages if you are not sure what they do. Maybe
a list on which package does what and which packages do need to go together and which
packages are just alternative packages for each other would be a good idea ?

Cheers,

/mst

Just take a look at SPC.mscr
It's inside the OEMOPERATORS package. Here you can change the shortcuts to your liking :)

The Teeter game was a problem in the .5 release, I could fix this by change the writefile to createshortcut in the same file as mentioned before.

.6 however should be fixed if I understood correctly :)

Hi Sackbauer,

the odds with O.R.D.E. are probably about the same as with every other cooked ROM.
Not better - but also not much worse ;-).

You should know what you are doing since this is still considerd beta but if you
have flashed your hardspl you normally should be on the safe side but then -
you never know...

There is always some risk involved in flashing - read here for some while
and you know what I mean.

It's safe with the defaults.

Except for the small font on the Soft Menu's.

Only thing included into the end Rom is the Bootscreen, no Radio, so all you need is your last known good configuration (your favorite rom until you started making your own) and there should be no risk.

The only golden Rule for starters is don't go below what is already selected. Selecting more should be no issue.

Had some crazy idea about this O.R.D.E. project.
Why not use Mortscript (PC) to perform partial project upgrades? This way you don't have to download the complete project. I agree that it might be a little less reliable since you need to check your Mortscript code as well as the normal checking you already need to do for this project.

Just a thought... ;)

You could create an upgrade.mscr script in the root of the project folder.
Also an upgrade folder inside the root would be nice.

Inside the upgrade script you can just create the delete files\folder or replace files instructions :)

It's good to have a life besides XDA ;)

Been working a little on the update script idea. I can imagine that it's quite cumberstone to work with. Also did this because I never actually worked with Mortscript except for chaning values every now and then.

Attached you'll find a sample folder with some files\folders.
This should be interpreted as:
- Upgrade_O.R.D.E.mscr > update script of course
- O.R.D.E. Kitchen v1.97.162.6 > This should be an exact copy of v1.97.162.6 because we're upgrading!
- UPGRADE from 1.97.162.5 to 1.97.162.6 > Containing the updated files and folders that you've created since x.6

Might save you some time and even might decide for you to use it or not.

Tested this sample and it worked. There might be an easier way to script it but I not very skilled with Mortscript.

Let me know what you think!

TIP: Don't let Windows handle the Mortscipt on your PC! I use Notepad++ to edit the files so after installing Mortscript I set the file handling back to Notepad++ since that seems much saver to me...

Hmm it certainly has potential.

For starters the extension .mortrun could be used so .mscr could be put back to notepad again.

In the hopefully finished and more structured version i could see this as being a good option. And i would need to adjust my way of working to it.

Don't be discouraged if it won't be to soon.
It's original at best, and i like original and new ways of working.

Glad you like it :D The idea was to implement something like this after you get O.R.D.E. out of Beta (if you can ever reach such a state on PPC's).

Now you have quite some files that need to be changed\removed\updated, this of course would not be the case once you've created a stable release. I mean stable with the way you configure the project of course. Must say that I haven't had any lockups with my ROM's created with this project

I think I will use Mortscript to update my personal files like pictures and small register tweaks. Have to fiddle some with Mortscript to see if it's worth the time ;)

The following package looks screwed up on my device:

PACKAGE_ORDE_Network_Plugin_0000_1_0_29714_1
Combined with:
PACKAGE_ORDE_Network_Plugin_0413

Attached a screenshot to show you :)

Edit:
Also found out that Audio Manager is not working. There is a shortcut called Audio Manager, but it doesn't do anything.

Edit2:
Who do I need to setup the Audio booster settings?
I have the current settings:
PACKAGE_ORDE_AudioBooster_0000_2_0_18143227_6 > checked="True"
PACKAGE_ORDE_AudioBooster_0413 > checked="True">
PACKAGE_ORDE_AudioBooster_0000_Replace_By_SRS_WOW > checked="False"
PACKAGE_MST46_SRS_WOW_0000_1_2_10_0 > checked="True"

I think the Dutch translation of the MUI is screwed for the network plugin.

Best solution would be take copy the English version into the dutch folder and rename it to 0413. Not a True Dutch Rom, but at least the Plug in Works.
I'll add it to my List to look int.

With the last OEM provided by MST, which amazed me by working with everything you can trow at it. My personal would be

PACKAGE_ORDE_AudioBooster_0000_2_0_18143227_6 > checked="False"
PACKAGE_ORDE_AudioBooster_0413 > checked="False">
PACKAGE_ORDE_AudioBooster_0000_Replace_By_SRS_WOW > checked="True"
PACKAGE_MST46_SRS_WOW_0000_1_2_10_0 > checked="True"

But to Answer your question correctly it would be

PACKAGE_ORDE_AudioBooster_0000_2_0_18143227_6 > checked="True"
PACKAGE_ORDE_AudioBooster_0413 > checked="True">
PACKAGE_ORDE_AudioBooster_0000_Replace_By_SRS_WOW > checked="False"
PACKAGE_MST46_SRS_WOW_0000_1_2_10_0 > checked="False"

Noticed that you've added TotalCommander to the project again (I thought that it was inside the project before?).

Not sure what to do with the PACKAGE_ORDE_Z_MORT_SPC_Extras folder.
As it seems there are quite some lnk files (didn't you want to get rid of those? :))

Are you also uploading the packages for the extra apps I see in the options?

The Off topic part:
Like the capacitive dialpad part. Since I don't want TF3D on my device I have to wait for a fix. The thread states that you need TF3D to be loaded to get it to work.

Really like the Mortscript additions! I even have my personal Mortscript file that I use with Sashimi. This cleans my Start Menu and moves some files. Don't know where I would be without it. I'm learning the language a little by studying other files, so yours are more that welcome Noonski!

Will soon upload a package to see if it's up to the O.R.D.E. standards :D

Keep forgetting to post a small bug.
I've enabled:
PACKAGE_ORDE_RandomAccess_Extra_0000_4_1_18201320_ 0
and
PACKAGE_ORDE_RandomAccess_Extra_00413

Now for normal contacts it's working fine. But when I create a new SMS and press the "Aan:" ("To:") field the RandomAcces doesn't work properly.
At the top I get "#" like it should, but at the bottom it shows a "T" instead of the letter "Z".

Had a busy day, will test my project some more and upload a test package by tomorrow I hope.

Here are two of my test packages.

Programs:
- QuickMark
- Stopwatch

Added a Mortscript file containing the conditions for creating shortcuts into "Startmenu\Programma's\Applicaties\" (Dutch - 0413).
As this is how I organize my Start Menu.

Would you please let me know if this is what you mean Noonski?
If that's the case I'll update my post on the first page. But then I'll create separate files instead of one ZIP of course :)

Tasty, There's people that like having s stopwatch around with practicably no file size.

And Quickmark might be fun for all those that have one as their Avatar.
I should be shamed for not playing with it for a long time.

But first i have to find out why my camera doesn't want to play.

But i think a lot of people would like to have it as an option.

And i can finally find out what your Avatar is.

You might be surprised ;)

Have no problems on my side with the camera.

Are you satisfied with the format? Or do I need to change something?

These are just a few examples of my personal packages. Some programs are there because of certain advantages, some are just there because they are small and might come in handy sometimes. Like the Stopwatch...

Maybe we could use a certain template to edit our posts containing packages. This would keep this thread tidy and clean!

I think i had forgotten to take out the RandomAccessChooser from TOUCH HD.

But know i updated the files with the newer 2.03 ROM's.

Well if Streaming Video's back up there's no need for me to test older Direct Show.

Also testing with older Camera package here for myself if that doesn't work it might be in the OEMDrivers or RGU file for Camera.

The problem is only on my version and it's also in the Dutch version i have here so that's sort of good news for others. Just a fuck up in my version.

Was just a test to exclude the problem you didn't have with streaming media.

Look like xda was unreachable this morning.
Did some testing concerning the streaming media part.

Strange thing is that the first time I load a movie it's all okay. As soon as I load a second it shows the unsupported media type message. The only way to load a new movie is when I soft reset my device :(

Had a quick look at the LEGO kitchen to see if there are differeneces. It seems that LEGO uses the following two files that "we" don't have:
- RtspHandler.dll

But this file is inside: PACKAGE_ORDE_StreamingSourceFilter

Should I also enable this feature? Or maybe try to downgrade the DShow?

Edit: I know I don't enable StreamingSource in combination with HTC Streaming Media. Compared the RGU files so that answers my question!

Edit2: Noticed that both packages contain a line that refers to to the RtspHandler.dll. Gonna flash with both packages enabled.

Thought I ask before I'll flash my device ;)

Enabling the StreamingSource package doesn't even let me play a movie once.
Dutch message:
"Server of gegeven velopen; tik op Afspelen om opnieuw te verbinden".

As for the Template of adding the packages.

Well not much a template.

But you had the format right.

Attach a Package and Attach the script for the package.

I'll incorporate the script part into the main script and then remove that attachment or link.

I can then either incorporate the package itself into the kitchen or leave it as separate download.

Don't know what the best way is for this. Always Pro's and Cons (kitchen size is one Con)

But if they stay as separate Downloads thye would need their own Option file indeed.

So it really depends if it stays small it's up to you if you want me to incorporate them into the Big Kitchen or have them as seperates. Who knows we might get a little repository going.

But at least having the minimal Mort script is a good idea.

Moved this part of this Post to Post 13

Finished integrating those ELFIN packages with the Diamond Version.

Hi Noonski,

I tried the 'connectionSetupAuto' package and it did nothing - is this package meant to be
used in conjunction with the 'connectionSetup' package? Connection Setup on its own
works fine.

Sometimes it's not easy to select the packages if you are not sure what they do. Maybe
a list on which package does what and which packages do need to go together and which
packages are just alternative packages for each other would be a good idea ?

Cheers,

/mst

PACKAGE_OREE_ConnectionSetup_0000_1_5_34564_2_Auto
&
PACKAGE_OREE_ConnectionSetup_0000_1_5_34564_2

Need to be installed together

PACKAGE_OREE_ConnectionSetup_0000_1_5_34564_2
Causes connection setup up to run only once after reboot (60 seconds)

PACKAGE_OREE_ConnectionSetup_0000_1_5_34564_2_Auto
Sets it as an Autostart Item that is being run by The Taskmanager and runs whenever you switch the SIM card.

If once is enough ony use the PACKAGE_OREE_ConnectionSetup_0000_1_5_34564_2
(or you can start it manually)

If you switch a lot of Sim Cards and don't mind the extra memory being used at start up leave in the Auto version.

Added it to that Empty Q&A Post in the beginning.

But whern checking it out i found the script should be changed to actually give coorect behaviour so now it's

if (FileExists( "\Windows\ConnectionSetup.exe" ))
if (FileExists( "\Windows\ConnectionSetupAuto.exe" ))
Sleep("60000")
Else
Sleep("60000")
Run("\Windows\ConnectionSetup.exe")
EndIf
Else
EndIf
First Sleep is to make sure that Synchro time doesn't run before Network configuration finishes. (Synchro time Runs 120 seconds after boot, or 60 when Connection setup isn't installed, which wouldn't make sense in most cases)

Sounds good. I'll stop flashing for a while now. Will contintue as soon as you've got some news for us. Maybe if I have some spare time I'll check some settings.

Also Checked m.YouTube.com. First Video Played Second Video also Played and third two.

PACKAGE_ORDE_PhoneCanvas_0413
OEM_Lang_0413
NL2.rgu
Base_Lang_0413
NLD.hv
Or
NLU.hv

You just got to love separation You can scratch PACKAGE_ORDE_PhoneCanvas_0413 as it's also happening without the Diamond Canvas.

Let's just hope it's not in Base_Lang_0413 because that can be either the RGU or the actual files of which i don't have any update dutch version.

Flash does actually work. Must have been a long day :P

Concerning the Streaming Media. I've checked and double checked.
But it doesn't work. Could it be because of the language? Like the dialer problem?

These are my settings concerning Streaming Media:
PACKAGE_ORDE_StreamingSourceFilter_0000_2_5_1821_9 22 > False
PACKAGE_ORDE_StreamingMedia_0000_3_0_1817_3931 > True
PACKAGE_ORDE_StreamingMedia_0407 > False
PACKAGE_ORDE_StreamingMedia_0409 > False
PACKAGE_ORDE_StreamingMedia_0413 > True

Will have a look at the tips concerning the dial problem!

Edit:
Dialer Issue is only in NL version so that narrows it down to
PACKAGE_ORDE_PhoneCanvas_0413
OEM_Lang_0413
NL2.rgu
Base_Lang_0413
NLD.hv
Or
NLU.hvYou can take away: PACKAGE_ORDE_PhoneCanvas_0413
Because the problem is also there without the PhoneCanvas (when using default dialer).

Edit2:
Compared NL2.rgu to EN2.rgu.
Only difference seems to be "Intern geheugen" VS "Internal Storage".

Edit3:
Compared OEM_Lang_0413 to OEM_Lang_0409.
Nothing exciting to mention.

So that leaves us with:
Base_Lang_0413
NLD.hv
NLU.hv

Don't know how to check .hv files?

Noticed the following lines in the RGU file inside Base_Lang_0409:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ Skins]
"DefaultPortraitSkin"="\\Program Files\\Windows Media Player\\Standaard(Staand).skn"
"DefaultLandscapeSkin"="\\Program Files\\Windows Media Player\\Standaard(Liggend).skn"

Shouldn't they be in English?

I'm not sure anymore as i'm at work if i included CeRegeditor into the Tools folder.
It can read and Compare Hive Files.
But after removing read & write Attributes it should read those.
(and even do file comparison)

But those are big files to compare.

Here's some replacements for Mhub, Youtube and Streaming Media. It might be you already have the same, but i'm playing Youtube and Streaming Media without issues here. So it could be that you have another version of PACKAGE_ORDE_mHub_0000_6_54_080121_E1. And the streaming sourcefilter should also be selected of course.

http://rapidshare.com/files/182119314/OEM.zip.html

Just went a different direction and extracted a Dutch Raphael Rom. And found this:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Dial\Locations]
"1"=multi_sz: "Werk",
"9,G",
"9,0FG",
"9,00E,FG",
"20",
"",
"31",
"0"
"2"=multi_sz: "Thuis",
"G",
"0FG",
"00E,FG",
"20",
"",
"31",
"0"
"3"=multi_sz: "Mobiel",
"+EFG",
"+EFG",
"+EFG",
"20",
"",
"49",
"1"Different value 20 instead of 30
Now flashing, result in 5 minutes.

Nope Still not it. Forgot to change the last one to 31 to.

Also noticed that those values are not the same for 0413 and 0409.

I even believe that the previous dialer registry changes messed up the speeddialing even more. Not on the normal dialer, but with programs like Inesoft Address Book.

Will check out the attachment.. ..I will be back :)

There was an error indeed with the mHub package.
Inside V1.97.....6 you had: PACKAGE_ORDE_mHub_0000_6_54_080529_E0
While the option file says: PACKAGE_ORDE_mHub_0000_6_54_080121_E1

Continuing the test :)

Edit 1:
Aaargh.. ..streaming media problem exits.. I did try to manually import the RGU file of the StreamingSource package. It does switch to Media Player instead of HTC's Streaming Media program. Will test by flashing the English version...

Edit 2:
YouTube is working fine again. So the mHub was the guilty one here...

Edit 3:
The smart dialing (search) function is working again when using Inesoft Address Book.
Think it was of the previous register tweaks. The standard dialer isn't working correct I'm afraid. The number type switching is still there..

I think there is a typo inside OEM_Lang_0409.
File: 07443760-d603-11dd-ad8b-0800200c9a66.rgu

There are some references to "Intern Storage", I think these should be called "Internal Storage" :)

Can confirm that the dialer is working correctly with the 0409 configuration.
I tried to export the keys of: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Dial\

But they seem to be binary, any tip on how I can read them?
Maybe we can compare the keys to another Dutch ROM. I will at least get my hands on the Dutch reg values from a Dutch ROM for now.

Will flash an unmodified English ROM to see if the Streaming Media is working through Media Player.

Okay, now here is something really interesting about the dialer problem.
Tried to flash with AlphaZero's Dutch ROM to have a look at the dialer settings. The problem is also on his ROM so I've tried to flash an official ROM. Guess what! It has the same problem!

I'm talking about the following ROM:
RUU_Diamond_HTC_NLD_1.93.404.1_Radio_Signed_Diamon d_52.29.25.12_1.00.25.05_Ship.exe

Now I will continue my search flashing:
RUU_Diamond_HTC_NLD_1.37.404.3_Radio_Signed_Diamon d_52.26a.25.09_1.00.25.03_Ship.exe

Will be continued...

Update:
No dialer problems with:
RUU_Diamond_HTC_NLD_1.37.404.3_Radio_Signed_Diamon d_52.26a.25.09_1.00.25.03_Ship.exe

Will see if the registry (made a full backup) can help me out here :)

I also had that experience, that's why i went for the raphael Rom.

Is there a Touch HD NL rom? to try the MUI files From?

And i am now testing with Butler http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3091587
But can't cook it in directly has to be a cab. It freezes the boot.
Home to Dial button = WirelessManager
Dial To Home = AltTaB
Back to Hang up = Rotate Screen
Hang up To Back = Camera
Stylus out is WM keyboard
Stylus in is Compact Qwerty.

Cool App for those Missing hardware buttons.

It just needs a front end configuration app to make it perfect.

Next up will be removing a few Notifications using Mortscript, beats editing the .vol file to remove cepui and active sync from starting everytime.

Fell asleep early and now i'm awake again.

I think there is a typo inside OEM_Lang_0409.

Well since almost everything has been checked and as it's also in other Diamond roms as a default it boils down to the MUI files in BaseLANG_0413.

Almost everything is accounted for.

PS:
RemoveNotifications( "repllog.exe" , "AppRunAfterTimeChange" )
That was an easy solution to remove Active Sync from starting at some moments.

Temp Uploads.

Compared all the MUI files of the Base_Lang_0413 folder. They match 100%.

Will see if I can get some info out of the 1.37 ROM since they work on that device.

Will check out the two attachments later. Gotta nail that dialer s*cker first ;)

Didn't think about that, I "Ass-umed" They would be the same, but that's good news if it used to work in those builds.

Yes! It works :) Give some time to finish my investigation.. All I can say for now is that the MUI files inside Base_Lang_0413 are responsible for the error!

Here is the the Dialer Fix for the Dutch users!

After having headaches and restless nights it's finally fixed. Took me some time but thanks to Noonski I managed to get the s*cker!

Attached is the tapress 0413 file from the official Dutch 1.37 ROM.

Don't know if anybody cares but here are some lines that are inside the 1.37 but that are missing in other builds:

Missing lines:
Menu - 14123
Dialog - 14274
String - 937
String - 965

Edit:
Also noticed that YouTube has no sound. It did before. Will check if I added some updates you've post recently..

Edit2:
Removed the attachment. Wrong version.

I have updated some stuff so the Codecs are more aligned and YoutTube is back again with sound.

It had to be the Damned Mui files good find even pinning it down to the Exact ones. Cooking fever is bad isn't it.

Also i'll be uploading In Call Recording Package in a moment but you can have a play with the cab for now (Need to restart PC and am looking for the last missing icon).

But bad news for you it only works with the latest Diamond Dialer :p

I won't be updating anymore packages as it seems most the issues are now gone with the last upgrade (Hybrid Bastard Son Called O.R.D.E.). So i can pack the bugger up and have it Set to Stock when i upload it for my Birthday.

Sounds good! I will wait now for the new project kitchen release... ..have flashed my device a zillion times I think.

The good thing about the dialer fix is that it's also aplying to those who want to use the Diamond dialer :D

Flashing my device one more time and then I call it a day. Promised to take it a little easier here...

Trust me the Next version will be pretty solid.

I think everything's covered.

Just one more missing icon that is missing for In call Recording.

McCune what do you think of the name XDA-STOCK-ROM?

mccune
13th January 2009, 08:16 AM
Name sounds good. This means that the O.R.D.E. will be replaced. I got kinda attached to it, but now other languages are available it seems like a logical choice.

Lets brainstorm a little, my contribution:
- XDA DIAMOND ROM
- DIAMOND MODULAR
- THE DIAMOND STANDARD

Got to get some coffee now, maybe I will have another bright idea about a new name. But the previous mentioned names are not to bad :)

Posting using Opera on this ROM works very well. Except when you type outside the reply screen. Will test mobile view to see if that helps.

Not a name Change for the Kitchen but for a One of ROM, sort of like an advertisement for the Kitchen.

So maybe O.R.D.E. Stock Rom. I think a lot of people still have this fear that "Cooking" is only something for the "Pro's". And they don't know it's just as "Riskfull" as flashing a Custom ROM.

mccune
13th January 2009, 09:57 PM
In that case it's a good thing. I do think it's best to set the Option files like a user is cooking a standard ROM. At the moment the CommManager etc. are disabled.

I thought that the D on O.R.D.E. stood for "Dutch" LOL my bad :) Will be out of town for a while but I'll be back!

Noonski

CommManager is still disabled in Stock as there's a CommManager Tab in the TouchFlo (allong with 12 other tabs)

The only thing missing in that CommManager is present in EndKey (Close Connection) (and off course enable/disable Receive beam, but it looks like not a lot of cooks include that option in their commManagers)

It will be Set to a Stock rom but with some added Cool Stuff that i find really enhance the Diamond while still not reaching the Stock Rom Size.

It was Dutch untill the German Invasion.

Tried to start one for the Elf and that's why you see the OREE packages in the OEM. (not enough time in 24 hours thought)

And IF (repeat if because for sure not soon) i port it to The Touch Pro I'm to used to ORDE.

I flashed to the 162.6 beta rom.
But in my programs under start I only see 6 apps.
It looks like there are no shortcuts created. i select office and more.
Am I doing something wrong?
