[REQ] Changing taskbar icons

Hi there ppl. I've searched a little (not too much i confess) but didn't find anything relevant regarding this question.

Has anyone managed to change taskbar icons like the people from the Diamond?

I guess the method would be similar if you have WM6.1. It is only a matter of getting the icons to be the right size.

That's what i thought. Although i'm not very comfortable with hacking i'll try over the weekend and then share if succeed.

it will be very beautiful having these taskbar icons for QVGA, i can give it a try but after a week maybe,if there is no one until then i'll post my icon sets :)

But I'm also looking for other great icons sets.

Is there anyone who could post their originals HTCVolumeControl.dll + phcanOverBmp + shellres.040C.dll (FRA versions) here ? Will try to have a look too.

I copy your files to \Windows folder and make soft-reset. Now, I don't have any icon in taskbar and startbutton...

Reverse it, files are missing some folders and icons... I also try it.
[EDIT] The most corrupted is the phcanOverbmp.dll file which is missing groups icons and icons. This file is only to extract icons and to set a different package.

the 3 files *.dll, correspond to what? What does/function of each file?

Hi

I find Reshack very useful for editing the icons and bitmaps in a .dll. XnView I believe can save pictures to .ico format for importing:

Yes, nice apps. Paint.net is also awesome but doesn't export to .ico format, too bad ! :)
