Hi all
I sent my Polaris to Combase (Switzerland) because the display was crowded with black stripes and the headphone lost contact sometimes when playing audio.
I just want to share this with others who are thinking about sending their device to Combase for repair.
1. Sent my device to Combase (incl. receip from digitec and a bug-report)
2. After one week I received a cost estimate by mail.
--> Bugs found by Combase: Device mechanically corrupted, Display broken, fluid damage inside the USB connector.
There are 4 possible ways to act in my situation:
a) Repair the device for CHF 230.--
b) photo documentation of the damaged parts for CHF 30.--
c) No repair, send back the device, costs for analysis CHF 40.--
d) No repair, dispose the device for free ;-)
all prices incl. MWSt.
3. I decided to pay the repair because I love my Polaris (and have no money for a new device...).
There is an online "track-and-trace" function available on ComBase DIRECT (http://direct.com-base.ch)
bye
Oli
