Now I want to start by saying I was never planning on getting the G1. But last nightt I hulk smashed my wing by accident, and there I was at the t mobile store buyig the G1. And I am very glad that I ended up getting it.
The good- The phone is lighting fast. I guess I am in a location where 3g is available, and never having a phone with 3g that alone is a killer vs. The wing. The market is amazing. Many apps are up and free, and it is very convenient. It is able to run multiple apps wwithout slowing. The touch screen is real, and heat activated not pressure, which to many can be good or bad but I like it and it definitely feels more sturdy the the wing screen.
The bad- its been said and there is still no real task manager. Kind of annoying but again haven't felt performance loss from open apps. Managing your sd card is hard and the whole navigation through menus on the phone is basic. The keyboard is weird because sometimes you feel yourself pushing the buttons and sometimes you don't.
All in al, a big big step up from the wing, and I reccomend it highly. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
