Hi all,

I am new to this forum... I hope I can get some help from all the experts here.

I have recently downloaded and flashed my Motorola Q9H with AT&T's WM 6.1 update. No problems were faced while installing it.

I used the RSD Lite version 3.7 and this SHIP_NORMAN_AP_U_01.09.28R_NOLOCK_MODEM4_U_40.11.4 0R_04_USNORMANATT02NAR2W611A005-ATT_1719931436.sbf (http://www.motomoddinguk.info/downloads.php?do=cat&id=7)

After installing and tweaking the locked settings of the Internet Settings, network band selection and Messaging using PHM Registry Editor.

However, after doing all that.. I cannot get connected to any 3G network in my country (Malaysia) and I cannot use the MMS function.

Can somebody assist me in either directing me to the original ROM copy of the WM 6 for Q9H or how to establish that network connection (I think AT&T may be using a different range band for GSM or UMTS)?

Even with the network band selection, only 2G networks can be discovered.

Really appreciate the help..

the moto Q9h has two versions, the AT&T version, also called Q9h global, and the Q9h.

The AT&T version HSDPA runs @ 850 / 1900 mhz, while the other version runs @ 2100 mhz.

according with the info I got in gsmworld, malaysia's providers are runing their 3G services using 2100 mhz; thus if you got an AT&T version, it won't work in your country.

If you recently upgrade your rom with win 6.1 you might need to unlock the pre-loaded gprs settings.

go to the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A 38-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA} select the pre-load setting and go to values, keys, and change the "read only" from 1 to 0.

Find the proxy that Cingular uses.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{EF097F4 C-DC4B-4c98-8FF6-AEF805DC0E8E}\Cingular WAP, same here change the values for "read only" from 1 to 0.

hope this helps.
