I run my own email server. So I set up an email account, an IMAP email account on my HTC Touch Diamond. However when I select "Folders" on the mail application on the phone it lists the entire contents of my home directory on my server, which is quite long. All of my mail folders are under ~/Mail.
I also use Thunderbird for my email client on my desktop. Thunderbird has a setting to handle this called IMAP server directory. You can get to it in Thunderbird under Tools: Account Settings: Server Settings: Advanced. Mine has the string "Mail". Then when you attempt to subscribe to a new mail folder you see only those under ~/Mail.
How can I configure this for the mail application in WM6.1? Otherwise it takes forever when doing a "Send/Receive" and receiving folders....
