Data connection error after setting "gprs auto attach" off and then on again

Hope it's not discussed elsewhere, i found nothing about that....

In order to avoid the problem of auto data connections.. (i dont have a flat) I set with Advanced Config the "gprs auto attach" as disabled. As I expected, I had an error each time a program (meteo) tried to open a connection data. Good..
Now..
Then i set back the value of "gprs auto attach" to enabled, but nothing changed: now my diamond doesnt connect anymore to data connection!!
I already tried to do again the connection configuration, but nothing worked.. What can it be??? Anyone has any idea?

The problem seen from the communication manager:

the program (weather) succeed in forcing data connection on..
but after 1-2 seconds for a moment the data connection is turned off again, and then again on...
