Hi everybody!
I searched over the forums, but nothing...

I have some problems adding items in the system tray. I tried adding more keys in the registry (HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\TrayApplet) simply writing more keys (7-8-9) and using the same format of the other ones.
If I add an application installed in the device memory, the icon appears, but if I add something on the storage card nothing happens.
Is this a known issue or I just can't add storage card applications?
How can I fix it?

Device is described in my signature.

Thank you!!! :)

Hi!

I tried to create a shortcut to storage card installed programs and save it in \My Documents, but it hasn't been helpful.

Any clue? :confused::confused::confused:

I think it's because the tray-applet starts before the SD card is ready :(.

Under each entry you have two values: LaunchApPath and ResPath. You can set LaunchApPath to your app, even if it's on the SD. However, ResPath must point to the main memory (which can also be flash disk / storage etc). ResPath is the icon to use.

So for example, if I were using The Core Pocket Media Player (TCPMP) on my SD card, I would set
LaunchApPath="\Storage Card\Program Files\Tcpmp\Player.exe"
ResPath="\Windows\wmplayer.exe"

Then the tray-app will show the Windows Media Player icon, but launch TCPMP.

I know this isn't ideal, and it means you have to try and find apps on your main memory which have icons you want. Otherwise you'll have to create a small .exe that has the icon you want :eek:

I could not get tray-app to recognise shortcuts, only the real .exe's :(

Thank you for reply!
So the only solution is to point at the application for the shortcut and another app for the icon...

Ok!

Still working on it, hope to find another solution...

I too have similar mess. I have removed systray link from startup and installed HomeScreen Plusplus today plugin to have my own customised sys tray.

Hope this helps

Could also try PHM TrayLaunch

I've tried all of them, but I prefer Resco Today for the main informations...

For the tray... don't know, I'll add more icons in ReToday... ;)
