nueCPL is a fast, functional and skinnable CPL that uses Manila 2D skins. It aims to replace the ugly and nonfunctional default WM control panel. This is a test version that is almost complete. There is no installer yet, you will have to copy to \Windows. It is currently QVGA only. (VGA in next release).
Please don't mirror the files, but link to the post instead, so that old versions do not float around. Thanks.

What a super app!!! Really cool, thank you!
And is it possible to make a slide up\down and not to tap the button to reach all the cpl (like in programs in manilla)?
Sorry for my english.

I love this app. Suites very good in my HS++ Manilla2D skin. Are you planning a WQVGA version in the future. Unfortunately I've a unused space below the panel. See screenshots.

I love this, it is much and much better than the original control panel. Though the sliding over the icons at the bottom does not go very well. The "growing" of the icons happen to late, it does not follow my finger very well if i go to fast. I have a Kaiser.

Great Job! This is very beautiful "Setting".
How about adding "Programs" in M2D Style?

ah, yeah - should be a simple fix for WQVGA, we'll see on next release.

Hi no2chem,
Looks are stunning and nicely integrated with my M2D setup. I do have some requests for optimising (IMO) the functionality:
- add D-pad support
- single tap to activate an item instead of double tap
- use flow animation instead of a jump to the next/previous page
- swap the up/down swipe (now I've got to swipe down for a second page where manilla needs a swipe up)
- a small config-tool might be usefull as my requests may not be to everyone's satisfaction
looking forward to next version.

Hi,
You can see from the screen shot attached that there is a problem with the graphics on the tabs. I am using a custom M2D skin which may be the problem. It is very slow on the sliding action between tabs but if I tap on a tab it changes to that tab straight away.
Very good concept for a programme. I'm looking forward to the final version.
Many thanks,

works great. the sliding works a bit slowly but in general it's very very useful. it would be great to have a config option to setup new icons in the control panel..
cheers

ah, i forgot i made an optimization where you have to merge the alpha channel into a single png, i will show how to do this later.

ok, next version i have added support for "iconoverride" registry entry where you can specify your own icon.
it turns out however, the only way to replace settings right now is to patch shell32.exe ... I think I will write an autopatcher to support this. performance is getting better, i fixed the speed of some routines, it is getting there...

d-pad support, yeah, next version
single tap, im sure could be an option, as well as reversing swipe
as for the animation, let me optimize the speed first.

Hi,
attached is my for nueCPL modified Manilla 2D.
The images in the compressed nueCPL file are no longer necessary (with this Manilla).

I'm trying it right now, it's nice, still some adjustments to do, but NICE!
Maybe you could also do a laucher for programs (tabs/customizable)

will this overwrite the standard ctlpnl? because it would be great to be able to access it from the m2d all settings softkey and not having to launch it like a program

No, it's a standalone app.

Hi, great app, really nice.
A few suggestions:
A long tap on an icon in "All Settings" could exclude it, so that one can have all his necessary icons on one screen, that would be nice.
Then, would be even better if we could skin it completely, ie remove tabs, put bigger up/down buttons and I wish there was a big close/exit button too :)
Also, please support wqvga as already asked

Using it and like it. Only thing I thought would be better if instead of double clicking to launch the app, change it to single click.
Thanks.

Bump... I'm running this on my Omnia (QXVGA), and would sure love to see it available in that native resolution. I like nueCPL so much that I'm using it despite the blank space on each page and the ultra-tiny font, but it seems as if all work on it has stopped?
That's really unfortunate, because I haven't been able to find any other similar standalone app to access Settings. I don't like accessing Settings from the Titanium hex panel in WM 6.5, because if you go into one of the settings applets and then exit, you jump all the way back to the Titanium today screen and not the expected single step back to the Settings panel. Furthermore, I don't think anyone has found a way to directly invoke Titanium's Settings panel from a third-party launcher.
There are a lot of great new features that have been mentioned in this thread as "coming in the next version", and I'd like to add just one more: an option to use the default WM wallpaper as a background, so this app would integrate very cleanly into your current visual theme. (I actually invoke nueCPL from TouchLaunch, which does have that option.)
no2chem, are you still out there? Any hope for that long-awaited second version?? :)
