I'm new to the Diamond and WM in general (having converted from Palm OS) and am trying to learn my memory useage and how it affects my device's performance.

Right now....

Storage: Total 102.6b/ In Use 86.99/ Free 15.69
Program: Total 203.84/ In Use 61.05/ Free 142.79

I have installed Sprint Theme via TF3D Config as well as a couple asthetic Cab files. All of my installed apps have gone onto Internal Storage.

So I guess my question is: How do those num, bers look? Will these slow down my device? Is there anyway of getting the FREE numbers higher??

Thanks

u guys should try a program called MemMaid, changing different cache sizes within this program helps boost performance and memory depending on the amount of files and programs u stored on ur PPC not ur internal memory

its working great 4 me i have installed 10 different programs and i still hav 45% of ram available, loving my diamond atm

I feel memory is a big flaw to this phone, and ive tried many things to counter the device storage filling up, to no avail. after i hard reset the device (which ive done some times now) i got like 65 megs. i install a theme and it bumps down like 20 megs. thats ok!

BUT

when i install my other apps, to storage card ofcourse, it still fills up my device, so in no time after hard reset, i`m lucky to stay over 10 megs. frustrating to say the least. what use is a ppc with 4 gigs of internal memory if it works like this?

i want a new phone allready, i kinda like the touch HD, but im afraid it will do the same thing to storage.
My VOX did not have this problem (sigh).
