Cingular 8125 unlock on vista

Hello Everyone,

I just received my Cingular 8125 off of ebay, but I can not use my tmobile sim card in it. I know I have to unlock it, but everyone thing I have read pertains to using windows xp. The problem is that I have vista and no activesync. My phone has ipl 2.25 and spl 2.25. What do I need to do to get vista to unlock my phone?

YUP ! WinXP is highly recommended as Vista is still not fully compatible and has problems,but read this thread,may be it helps you out :-

You need mobile devie center for Vista: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-center.mspx

Also, I was able to CID unlock mine with Vista using the Wizard Service Tool, however, I HAD to use XP to SIM unlock it.
