I have been messing with some icons, most of the images are grabbed from google images and cropped with paintshop pro.
The set includes comm manager, call history and callender icons, if you use them. Included is a custom slider. I am just trying to get Nisse's 3 icon menu to work with the extra icons, so I'll update the post when and if I do. :)

What it says in the title, the slider should work with all tabs. :)
I have tweaked the ring slider, moved it up and over a few pixels, it looks better so I have replaced the .cab with a new one.

Following an idea suggested to me by Dynomite232 I have made a .cab with 13 invisible tray icons. This means that if you use this .cab you will only see the hero, the big icon which pops up in the middle and the one selected inside the slider, nice if you like your wallpaper! :)
Edits, I think it should work with any theme.

I am on a stock sprint rom with some mods to TF3d (flip clock, taskbar icons, no curtains and icons). Do you know of any reason that this would be occurring?

I unfortunately cant post a screen shot, but the slider i was trying to use (before i found your thread) was the slider in post number 12 of this thread. It's the black diamond slider by whiskybro. i would like to use that 1. can you make 1 similar to it? If not here is the manila of it.

And here is a recreation of about how far off it is. Actually the left edge of it is off screen barely.

If you could move this over, then cab it up, then do the same with a few of yours (including the grey oval), you would definitely be the man. Even if you do not get it exactly right. i would appreciate the effort.

It did move, just not enough. it would have to move about 2x the amount you already moved it. Almost to where the leading edge of the slider is almost touching the next icon.

It being off center is not the only problem. It also "layers" the icon it's on over top of itself. Again i know these are just words without a screen shot but i'll describe it as best as i can.

The slider places the icon its on over top of itself, then when you move it, it brings the "top" image of the icon with it until it is over the next icon. Then it does the same-thing to the next. i appreciate your effort my man.

The double image is seen through transparent sliders as the hero icon is drawn over the tray icon, I have not fixed this in my sliders because at the moment the only fix I know of does not work with the extra tabs comm manager, call history and calender, you can read about it in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2664825&postcount=177 as a work around if it annoys you you can use an opaque slider or install my invisible tray icons (bear in mind what will happen if you do this). I am trying to piece together a fix for the double selected tray icon with transparent slider in all tabs and I will post a .cab here when I do. Tray icon is 64x64
Hero icon is 128x128
Slider is on a canvas 256x128, but the image is approx 90x90, not all are square and some are very narrow for example the arrows one on the previous page.

But The newer file is taken from version 1.2.34589.1_1813.6 of TF3D
and I don't have a version number of the old file, but it's from the time with all the animations in TF3D :rolleyes:

Sorry for late reply, but yes I can make it, but it would be easier if you can post the image you want as a slider here for me to use, and if anyone else wants images making into sliders and can't do it themselves (it is criminally easy) then I'm open to requests. :)

Have you got the manila editor? It is really very easy to use and it is satisfying to make your phone look exactly how you think it should. Just extract the image from the manila file with the editor as a .png then change it as you like. You can use "Artweaver" or "Gimp" to manipulate the images (both are free). I am using paintshop pro which is great but I haven't got a clue what 90% of the things it can do are for. Then replace the origional manila file with your new image using the editor again adn thats it. Try it, it's fun! :)

I've not done em yet, been a bit too busy at work, just knackered at the moment. I did take a look at the icons and they look very promising, can't see a weather icon in there, but I'm sure if I look again I will see it. If not I'll improvise. It has been done but I believe it is very tricky to do and the exact procedure is dependant on your manila version and language, I am not sure exactly how it is done but I will post up a link that gives a description unfortunately it is from a German site. Link Here

When you slide between tabs usually the screen darkens, install this and it won't. Once you get used to it in my opinion there is no going back, why does it do that anyway?:)

I'm using the original set of icons and I was wondering if you know how to change them to crystal (transparent looking).

Unless you can find the icons you want already made, then you have to make or modify them yourself using the manila editor (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=414861) and an image editor like gimp (http://www.gimp.org/) or paintshop pro (http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/gb/en/Product/1207602307920#versionTabview=tab1&tabview=tab0) to enhance the icons to your own desire.:)

I think it sounds like you need Nisse's 3 Icon menu, there is a .cab posted earlier in this thread, it may cause a problem if you have extra tabs installed, and 1 user reported it causing a white square on the slider.:)

Hi uniqueboy thanks. Managed to have constant icon size however I guess the smaller icon is the one being displayed... but its alright. I just did a combination of icon installation, invisible slider, tray icons and ended up with it :)

With regards to disablement of screen darkening whenever you slide through the icons, dont u guys think the text below the big icons in the center of the screen should disappear as well? The text appears to be not readable anymore due to different backgrounds and making it invisible should be more logical :)

Take your pick, some people like cabs, others prefer to copy the manila file to windows with TC or the manila customizer, the .cab only contains the manila file and a setup .xml.:)

I was looking to change in TF3D my Call History dialogue box (note: NOT the Call History separate TAB, but when you select 'Call History' off the Home Page.. see attached):

I have managed to change out the .png images on the left pane (incoming, outgoing, missed) but I was wondering if you knew how I would go about changing the bottom ones?

I found some other BITMAPS that appear to be these images but I'm not sure which ones to change out? because I know some images deal with 'selection' (like when you select the icon/button)

I originally changed the .png files on the left pane (not in screenshot) by changing them in the phcanOver.dll but I can't find these in any of the other .dll's.

Is it possible they are also manilla files?

Yeh they are rather horrible! I have never considered changing them myself, but now you have pointed it out it does seem like a damn good idea, I just don't know how to do it but I will look into it and see what I can find out.:)

If you want to change out the left ones just do it in the phcanOverbmp.dll in the BITMAP section and replace the images with 88X70 bitmaps (bitmap number 6,7, & 8).

thanks for the sliders they look great but one last request please, i like the flaming slider, could you possibly make one with the flames glowing in blue, one with the flames glowing in green and one with the flames glowing in grey n white ? I asked massi how he did it and he sent me his icon files for those icons but I don't want to use his.. I have my own I have in mind.

hey i tried this InvisibleSlider.cab (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=132946&d=1227723223) on touch HD Phone and works perfectly tried most of them and its all working fine just to let you all know

Following an idea suggested to me by Dynomite232 I have made a .cab with 13 invisible tray icons. This means that if you use this .cab you will only see the hero, the big icon which pops up in the middle and the one selected inside the slider, nice if you like your wallpaper! :)
Edits, I think it should work with any theme.

Hard to find these invisible items :)

If you find a dead cat and burn it's body and bones all to ashes in a fire, there is one special bone you can never find in the ashes, that bone is the magic "bone of invisibility" and if you have it you will be invisible too! :D

so. i dont have any extra tabs..or just what the rom version gave :)
so it works on:
-people, mail,photos videos,music, weather,
-on thesettings,internet, messages and home tabs there is the green arrow slider but with an extra white square. Is there any idea hoe to fix this? also, i like your icons, can you make a costum battery icon, an original htc icon, that black-green icon? its soo htc branded :-p

Is there anyway to make the startmeny invisable or at least semi transperent
like the crystal clock?

Been looking at a lot of threads but not find anything, maybe been to tired and miss it. Is not out for any other changes then that.

If someone knows where i can get a cab file or if someone can make one I would be very happy. The thing is I have it when i remove tf3d but as soon as i use it the start meny gets a dark grey color.

If you can point me at the sprint tv manila file I'll sort it out for you, or just a theme with it in will do. Basically that icon is not included in the invisible icons but it is easy to add it if I have the relevant file.:)

I have installed the Brians Red_Slider.cab from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3179976&postcount=228 but it hides the icon, it prints in front of the icon of touch flo , not in the backround of it.
Perhaps this is happens because i have install a transparent slider before?
Is there anything i can do? Perhaps a registry entry?

Thank you very much for your great job, Uniqueboy. I like them a lot, especially the invisible ones.
I´d like to ask you a question about the TF3D visible layers while you are sliding.
When the TF3D is sliding there are four layers in the screen: the background, the grey shadow, the remaining image of the TF3D screen last tab and the large icon you are choosing with the slider.
The grey shadow is removed with the NoShadow cab, but...
I´m wondering if could be it possible to clean that remaining last tab screen, in order to see only the background and the large icon in the center of the screen when you´re sliding.

edit: I found where you posted the skull icon in another thread, but after reading more about changing the start icon. The more I realized it's not that big of a deal. Not tested any of these other than on the original manila, I don't use it any more, so just try it. I always use SPB Backup when I try something which I think might get me into a bit of a sticky mess, especially when everything is so sweet in the first place.:)

Just curious but where is that cab from? did you make it yourself?
I can extract the files from the cab you've posted and then add in my invisible icons so that you would have just a single cab for all, then you could uninstall the above cab and my cab, reset and then install my new cab. I would just like to know the above cabs origins first and check it out.:)

Thanks a lot for the invisible icons, an idea I never thought of, but it looks wonderful on my Diamond.
I just have one request, could you either make a slider for me or tell me where I can find one that looks like the one in the image I attached.
I've seen that almost all the screenshots from people has that slider, but I haven't seen any place to download it and I think it will look awesome with my entire theme.

It's not a bug - you use another system. Look at post #163 and 164 - uniqueboy developed the icons for the original TF3D...

It's a long time since I did any manila bits, but the actual png used in my sliders are posted with the slider, so if you open one in photoshop you can see the position and size that you need. and just open up a .cab with 7zip or jzip to check what the manila file is, I can't even remember.:)

It was a full set of icons for the original TF3D, but there are more tabs in the newer versions. Your Phone will just use the ones you select, any that are not replaced by my cab should appear as the default ones you already have and yes just install the cabs but bear in mind if you un-install them the icons will revert back to your original rom icons not any others you had installed yourself.
The merc was back on the road a day later thanks to some skilled panel beating and bumper pulling by my brother in law, just letting my insurers deal with the rest. :)
