when i receive a multimedia message i go to download and it says download expired so i cant see what people sent me
is the problem in the radio, rom,???

You can still get the MMS it just gives that error and then you have to manually tell it to download.

Menu>Download Anyway

With Rogers it is free to recrive MMS.

Your carrier may or may not be different. Post who your carrier is and I'm sure someone else here can tell you (or you can check you carriers website).
