Greetings.

xda is maybe the best place in the web to find stuff for pda , ...

But it's chaotic.

I spent hours to go to the correct post on the correct topic on the correct forum. What's up with that? Some stuff for download are in page 15 on the topic 'what ever' , and someone has to READ junk ( special when everybody quotes all posts ) making this fantastic source of programs - unusable.

It should be categorized but not as forum. The post - answer - post - repost doesn't work.

My guess is something like that.

- Downloads
--- [ Phones ]
------ [ Roms , Themes , whatever ]
--------- [ Page with thumbnails ] [ filters , favorites , rates , etc ]
------------ [ images , description , download , comments ]

Is that difficult to produce? There must be like 1000 webmasters in here.

thanks in advance.

I donīt find it chaotic
Once you have READ the Wiki and using the SEARCH button I found it very easy to use, also there is a specific device thread so you can look where you need.

It is not difficult but it is a mess to find the latest versions and small little programs/cabs that ppl scatter throughout posts.
Personally i agree with orb, but for new members this does seem messy.

This site is obviously a fantastic resource. I have a couple of Imate Jasjars and am happy with what is available on this site. I have to say, however, that making heads or tails of it the first time is daunting. It took me a week of five or six hour days to fully understand it the first time around. That could be because I am not the quickest study. Now that I have flashed and tweeked to perfection it is a really easy site. It is just that first overwhelming visit that is tough to take. I would say stick with it and do whatever it takes to understand and you will not regret it. It is time well spent.:)

The Forum format is used to create a community interchange of ideas. If you are here looking for free programs without giving back, then I think you have found the wrong place.

Now I too understand the need to get a program quickly. I will give back to the community in some other way, but right now I need this program. That's what the Wiki was created for. However, A lot of newbs have found it more beneficial to act a fool than to contribute and help maintain the wiki.
