If I do overwrite...this means....my original; TOuch flow 3D file will disappear? and if I want to change back to original theme....I need Hard reset?

No they wont.

Read this -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2791165&postcount=1

It tells you how to install and how to uninstall when there is no cab and why you wont mess up the original files.

not true.
Total Commander will overwrite the original manila files without prompted. if you already have modded icons then it will ask to overwrite (hence what i said above)

so in other words, the original file WILL get replaced.
HOWEVER, you should not worry.if you delete those manila files from the windows directory, the ROM will automatically restore the original file.

i only got 2 of the 8 icons in landscape mode, not sure why? Oso pls advise how I can get the calendar tab.

Giannis86
9th November 2008, 08:06 PM
sounds weird..
try disabling tf3d first and copy the files again.
enable tf3d again...

if that doesnt work, try a soft reset.

please let me know if this worked..

madster
10th November 2008, 04:22 PM
It work now as I hv installed the vodafone red theme previously. and now I resintalled bk to default. Thanks again. I can installed the call history and calendar but it doesn't appear your icons. Please advise

Giannis86
10th November 2008, 04:41 PM
i am assuming that you installed the call history and calender after you installed my icons
That would lead to my files for CH and calender being replaced by the standard icons

So in other words:
if you have Call history & Calender ALREADY installed:
Just copy paste my files

or

if you want call history and my icons, install call history first and install my icons afterwards

Tell me if this worked for you

madster
10th November 2008, 05:26 PM
Yup, it works again. I also add the comm tab. how to change the icon?

Giannis86
10th November 2008, 05:58 PM
can you give the link to comm tab topic?
if i know which manila file is responsible for those icons i can try to make some for you

I think it is 42d367fd_manila...but I dun know how to change the icon with ur other invention

Giannis86
11th November 2008, 08:36 AM
i found the 2nd one..
1e439536_manila - Tray icon
42d367fd_manila - Hero icon

instructions: same as the above icons.
I included a backup of the files just in case

Let me know how it works and if you like the icon

EDIT: PROCEED WITH CAUTION. POSSIBLE PROBLEMS..THIS POST WILL BE UPDATED WHEN IT IS KNOWN FOR SURE

Giannis, I use the zip file for comm manager icon, unzip it and copy it to windows directory. I follow the step by step instruction, disable TF3D, copy the manila files to win dir, enable TF3D again. But the comm manager tab doesn't show up on TF3D. Please help. Thanks

Giannis86
12th November 2008, 07:59 AM
@sbtarq89: those are ONLY the icons. you have to enable the com tab first (there is a thread on it and THEN apply my icons

@madster: this is weird..i dont get the problem. you shouldnt in any case as these are just icons. try restoring the original files and see if it works. it could be something else causing it. let me know what happens

madster
12th November 2008, 08:05 AM
My friend who install the same icon sets also have the same problem...like me, we can't have the menu from messages, even now I disable the comm tab, the problem still lies.

Giannis86
12th November 2008, 08:59 AM
try this for me and see how it works...
restore the original comm tab manila files (so with the original icons)..comm tab this is the only thing different (that whats on my phone)so i assume its that.

if that doesnt work tell me exactly what you have installed (from the icons above), and i will try to replicate it on my device

by the way, am i right to assume that this didnt happen without the comm tab?

madster
12th November 2008, 04:08 PM
It is the comm tab issue, not ur icon sets. Thanks.

Giannis86
12th November 2008, 04:41 PM
so it happens with standard icons too?

madster
12th November 2008, 06:19 PM
No, once I remove the comm tab, everything works well. I believe u r using touch pro too, u have the same problem when installed the comm tab??

Giannis86
12th November 2008, 06:39 PM
i dont have the comm tab installed as i said before..
However the only thing i did was replace the comm tab icons so im not sure why it caused this..

maybe the thread with the comm tab has some info on that?

madster
15th November 2008, 04:42 AM

Btw if I want to use my own calendar icon, beside not to copy the icon to win/dir, which other file I should not copy to win/dir?

Solved: I have figured it out.

madster
16th November 2008, 04:01 PM
I have problem now...my program and comm tab is having the same icons. I have managed to use your icon for comm tab. But now it is using the same icon as the program. Already reload ur 2 file into windows dir, still same. Please advise.

Giannis86
16th November 2008, 04:11 PM
honestly i think its better to use the standard icon for the comm tab..i dont understand why its causing problems

what you can do is this:
delete the 2 manila files for the comm tab and the other 2 for the program tab
after the rom restores the original ones things should be back to normal
then you can use my program tab manila files to get the icons back

until someone figures out how to get the comm tab icons working properly i think its best to leave it untouched :S

madster
16th November 2008, 05:39 PM

Hi, so I got commander on my touch pro. then downloaded to cpu the files. then transferred to memory card. then opened in commander and clicked on the two pieces of paper with the green arrow (I'm assuming this is copy). I then clicked on Tree and went to windows; after clicking it I hit ok. It then did its business and I then closed it and went to turn touch flo back on (yes I turned it off before hand) and the same old appears. I did a soft reset and same deal. So then I did it all again with same results. I'm a newbie to this but I think I did it right . . . Thanks

Third times a charm. Don't know what I did differently, but whatever. Very cool. Thank you.

Hi Giannis86,

Thanks for the icons.
They also work well on my new touch hd.

I have two questions:

I also have a "stock" tab.
Is there an icon for this tab?
It is the only one missing now.

After installing these icons on my standard htc black background
I could see some color difference with the rest off the screen.
Between the icons it is somewhat more gray (not much but I see it)
Can this be changed?

Grt,

Robertus.

is there any chance u're going to put these files into cab? ... to uninstall the theme in future, i have to delete those files but there are too many manila files in /windows.. i'm afraid if i will delete unrelated files.. :(

anyway very nice theme.. look forward for the cab.. if u're planning to provide one :) have a nice day

i have the touch pro. i dont know which manila files are responsible for the stock tab :S
as about your other problem im not sure if i understand..can you post a screenshot and show me what you mean? (maybe circle an example and add a bit more explanation)

@pcboyy:
i have tried making cabsbefore but the cab utility does not want to cooperate with my Vista 64bit..
a quick way of reverting to the stock theme is to use Diamond TF3D and click on restore default under the theme tab..it takes a minute and a soft reset only

Hi Giannis,

We will have to wait until the responsable HD manilla files are known.
I think more people will ask for this icon in the near future.

As for the second question:
I mean the grey area beween the icons in the slider.
I already use "no curtains" to get an invisible slider area but this area remains somewhat grey.
I would like to have it completely black. This way the icons stand out more and look more separate.

Thanks for your time,

update: Already removed the curtain by installing "no bottom curtain".
I think after installing the icons the curtain manila's were back to the original ones.

Grt,

Robertus.

Hi,

I have found ( from whiskeybro 17-12-2008 link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=460349) the manila file for the stock tab:

The manila file is:

Name BIG SMALL

Stock 08a608eb 34588a9a

Now it should be possible to make an old school "stock" tab...

Thanks

sorry for not replying earlier..anyway i see that the 2 images in those manilla files are both 64x64..normally one should be 64x64 (tray icon) and the selected icon is 128x128

in this post i attach the icons and i also modified the files that you sent. I checked nisse's thread and accordingly used the icons..if it did not work tell me

Hi Giannis,

Thanks for your answer.

They do not work yet.
The stock icon remains the old one if I only look at it but when I tap on it, it changes into your new small icon. The bigger icon remains the old one all the times.

I think the found manila's are not the correct ones ....

Robertus.

maybe this will help in figuring out my problem above. When i go to landscape mode i still have the slider like regular tfl 3d (i don't have the tabs stackable the way you have them in the landscape screenshot). Is there some setting in the phone that i need to change to have the icons go from the slider to the stackable way you have them, or should copying the manilla files to windows have automatically changed it for me?

Giannis86
25th January 2009, 10:36 AM
the manila files in this thread are ONLY for theming..landscape works ONLY on the touch pro. landscape modes with a slider use different files so it is not compatible with my landscape view

i hope this made it clear

i realized that on the verizon touch pro (that i have), the landscape veiw is different from the other touch pros. when i go to landscape view on the verizon touch pro, i get another slider like the regular tfl3d interface (and not the interface that you have the theme for).

I could not get a screenshot to show you what i'm talking about, but if you go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjZdOvtEw6s and go to the 5:10 min mark in the video you will see what i'm talking about.

I don't know if it would be too much to ask if you could make a mod of the landscape view you have so that it can work with a slider (like the one in the video). Thanks in advance for any response

i am familiar with how the verizon pro looks like.i wouldnt mind making a theme for it

however, i need someone to provide me the manila files responsible for the landscape theme on the verizon..or point me in a direction of a another custom theme for it..

once its done i would need a tester as well.

Thanks, I've flashed so many custom ROMs that I'm not sure what is standard anymore and I'm not sure if there are some that are standard on Pro but not Diamond, etc. -- So, if I could get some clarification I'd appreciate it, especially when it's not totally clear to me based on your screen shots. Out of this list would it include everything except Profile and Communications?:

Home, People, CallHistory, Messages, Mail, Calendar, Internet, Photos, Music, Weather, Settings, Programs, Profile, Communications
