i've been trying to install the Gmail app from m.google.com/mail
every time i try to use the install link i get the following message:
"the file 'googlemail' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certficate, or one of its components cannot be found."
any idea why this is? a friend of mine has managed to install it but he's using the default Orange rom and im on a Dutty rom

I believe GMail app is a Java midlet program. So what you need is a Midlet manager, I use Esmertec Jbed, but there are a lot of good ones out there.

or you can configure your kaiser mail client to work with gmail. instead of the webmail. it works fine with me

i installed esmertec and some concerns there.
1. the gmail app doesnt automatically get associated with Esmertec - is this normal?
2. when i do open esmertec and launch the gmail.jad file it doesnt install. gives me the same error as marksweb.
Still doesnt install...
