u can try Trottle launcher 0.94 or 0.95
you also could try Manilla 2d ( not the 3d ( just not yet ) )
you could also flash a rom with manilla, or Trottlelauncher cooked in,
look for trottlelauncer, Leo's series. beta 6 ( Trottlelauncher )
for manilla, erm about 3, or 4 roms for that. HD3 by Sakajati ( which i prefer )
Pdaviet roms, bob the builder roms^^ just do a little search around.

I was using PointUI for a while and I found that it was kind of a battery hog as well. Plus the bugs got to me.
Manilla 2d has been really nice. I actually show my Tilt to people and they are really impressed. They always ask, "how did you get that?", "what carrier", "PDAs have always been to difficult for me to understand but that seems really easy". It's always fun to convert someone to a phone geek.

Well, not to be an ass, but you can use the search. The sticky post for Manila 2d is just a few threads above this one or here is the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425851.
In that thread, you should go to post 6 and follow instruction for EDIT 6. The download link is at the bottom of the post. This is what I originally did and had no problems. I was installing on top of L26v12. I also read one of the last posts, as of now on the last page, post 356, and it also has instructions on what you need to do. These are the steps you need to follow if you are just going to install on top of your current ROM. If you want to get into flashing, if you have not already, there are many ROMs that have Manila built in.
I am currently using HyperDragon III Blackstone which has it built in. But, you will have to CID unlock, SPL, etc, etc. Please read wiki and other related guides if you want to get into this. It's fun and really addictive to start playing with ROMS. I have never cooked my own but there are just so many good chefs out there. ;)

It'll be interesting to see how the new PointUI 2 turns out... Telstra's new interface based on it looks pretty cool (see links from www.pointui.com).
No idea when this'll come out... till then I'll be using TouchFlo 2D and PointUI. PointUI is great apart from the few bugs and lack of customisability, but Manila 2D is also pretty annoying sometimes, & often less efficient. Bring on PointUI V2!

after having tried several interfaces, PointUI, Touchflo I wound up using L26 roms for a few months with HTC Home, after loading up Garmins Manila 2d v4 rom I can never go back, I know I tried after having a few issues that have since been cleared up and I was back to v4 within 4 hours. I can not wait for someone to figure out landscape in manila.
