Funny, I never have had this issue after the "upgrade". I use phoneAlarm to manage that stuff and it does so very well.
Re. the "upgrade:" anyone notice how unstable the screen calibration is?

What "backlight issue" are you referring to? I've never experienced any problems. Welp, I guess if it aint' broke don't fix it right?!

For some users, the optional settings for turnoff time of the screen backlight are not sticking but are instead reverting to default time. The patch is to make the optional settings stick. As all patches it must be reapplied after a hard reset as the ROM is not modified.

Backlight just keeps turning off after 10-15 seconds no matter what I do. Very frustrating. I installed the update patch form 10/30 and it didn't help.
