After the success of S2U2 Customization thread, I decided to develop S2U2 customizer,

Requirements:
1. .NET Frameowrk 2.0
2. S2U2

To get it working
1. Extract all files in the zip to any folder.
2. Extract the S2U2 customizer pack and copy all the folders to \[S2U2Customizer app folder]\gfx folder in the application folder.

Folders should be copied to \S2U2C\gfx folder not \S2U2\gfx folder & App can run from Memory Card.
To add more
1. Add Clocks in the \gfx\Clocks\\[Name]\ folder, drop a preview in the \gfx\Clocks\ with the same name as folder.
2. Add Analog Clocks in \gfx\ClockA\
3. Add Clock Hands in \gfx\Hands\[Name]\, drop a preview in \gfx\Hands\ with the same name.
4. Add Arrows in \gfx\Arrows\
5. Add Notice in \gfx\Notice\
5. Add Slide in \gfx\Slide\
6. Add Battery in \gfx\Battery\[Name]\, drop a preview in \gfx\battery\ with the same name.

Use the attached zip files for starter.
Extract Clocks.zip to \Clocks folder
Extract Arrows.zip to \Arrows folder.

Remember all images to be in png format.

Pretty Cool.

It took me a little while to get it set-up, but I now have it working. When installing create a folder in your S2U2 folder called S2U2customizer. Inside that folder create 2 more folders for Clocks and Arrows. Extract all the clocks into the clock folder and and all the arrows into the arrow folder. Then put the S2U2customizer exe and all the preview .pngs into the S2U2customizer folder. Then run the exe and then make changes.

hy,it's great to know someone developed an s2u2 customizer.
i know this is a beginning,and this is my next features suggestion:
1. can change the text colour (date,phone id number,etc)
2. can change the location of the clock,date,etc(i mean it's always on top of

I Have 3.5 on my diamond and i got that error to but i was trying to run it off the pc and not the phone.when i put it on the phone it works like a champ... lol dumb of me

1. I made a new folder: "\Programme\s2u2customizer" and put your exe and (just) the german language ini in. This works, it starts, but i can`t change the language to german ?
2. then i did this: "copy all the folders to \gfx folder in the application folder.". I unziped the customizer Pack, and put all folders in \Programme\s2u2\gfx. I see nothing, alway a popup "no files..."
3. Now i noticed that the app makes own new folders in my new s2u2Costomizer folder ? But only 5 and you have 7 folders ? then i realized that you mean with application folder not s2u2, you mean my new Folder

i have few comments / ideas please:

- leave it as before where you can put other clocks / images on memory card (not GFX folder) to save space

- i had an application called S2U2settingsplus where it was possible to choose lock/unlock sounds & run application like yours, but it also allowed to change the text "slide to unlock" & "slide to answer"...please check it, if you add this in your application to edit the registry text..then i won't need the other software anymore

- is it possible to change text color of S2U2?

Seems like its language specific problem, can any one else confirm if its running on devices with other languages.

Ok, I seem to have some problems. I followed everything properly. I managed to get Arrows loading properly, but when I try for clock and battery it just says no files to load.

My folder structure is

\Storage Card\S2U2Customizer\gfx\Clocks\[[FolderName]]

All files are stored in that folder. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I installed the customizer in the s2u2 folder and all folders in the gfx folder. I can backup the current theme and i can see the clocks and arrows when i choose them to apply them, but when applying it tells me error so and so.. the files cannot be changed as they are in use. I tried to activate ilock2 to close s2u2 but it gives me the same error.
Also another question: is it possible to add new clocks and how to do it, if i just create a new clock folder inside the clocks folder it does not show up in the list of clocks to choose from.

Edit: Now i installed everything on the storage card as mentioned in the first post. I can apply the clocks now, but i need to follow the steps:
-Activate iLock2 to close S2U2.
-Apply the new clock, if before was a digital clock and i applied an analogue
clock, then i have to open S2U2 settings and select manually the clockA
folder to apply the clock.
-Restart S2U2.

I suggest following implementations:
- The customizer should close automatically S2U2 when applying the changes and restart it again afterwards.
- The customizer should make shure that when applying a clock the correct folder is selected.
- There should be an option to change the wallpaper as well, with an additional folder for the different wallpapers.
- There should be an option to apply the saved current theme to the themes gallery giving it a name and the customizer should create all the necessary files and folders
- Also would it be much easier if the customizer could import themes from a folder and create all the necessary files and folders.

I know this is a lot of suggestions but i wanted to let you know my findings

I love this application as it makes changing the S2U2 themes so much easier. Congratulations and good work.

as U know , after changing - whats ever - , & and N order 2 compleate the change >> one have 2 press iLock2 icon .
so , z it possibal 2 add iLock2 icon 2 the programe screen .
that will made the prosses of changing more eazy .

Its possible to add any no. of clocks just copy the clock files inside any [folder] in S2U2Customizer\gfx\Clocks\ i.e \S2U2Customizer\gfx\Clocks][ClockNameFolder]\, and drop a preview of clock with the same name of the folder i.e [ClockNameFolder].png in the S2U2Customizer\gfx\clocks\ i.e S2U2customizer\gfx\clocks\[ClockNameFolder].png

Sorry for the delay my friend i flashed a new ROM (that on my new signature) 2 days ago and had some problems with my device, almost sorted out now, and i hope to send you the file tomorrow. According to what i read in the forum, with the new s2u2 you have to edit the lang.ini file to change the display text.

This is available in the next version of S2U2Customizer, Theme support is also there. The next version is done but just bugs are being fixed.

Good to hear that, so also wallpapers can be applied then? Could you also implement that the customizer shuts down automatically ilock when applying changes, so that we don't have to do that manually before customization?

Font type and color cannot be changed in s2u2 as for now, it is hard coded.

I think this is probably because you don't have anything in your gfx folder. Mine came up with a blank white screen, however I was still able to change the "slide to unlock" text. I think it will come up with something on the screen once you have added items to the folders.

That is because you have a VGA device and there are only few VGA items in the gfx folder, if you put some more VGA stuff inside the various folders then you will be able to apply more changes

The start screen is always blank, on the left bottom corner there is a pop up menu where you can select what to change and then the screen will fill with the items to choose from

I love this program and have a bit of a suggestion. Would it be possible to restart iLock straight from the config? That way I could load a new theme, lock to see how it looks, unlock and change again. Also wish we could change the "slide to unlock" text straight from the config but o well. Again this is a great app.

I'm running V 0.05 of the Customizer with V 1.35 of S2U2 on my HTC Touch Dual & the Customizer works brilliantly.

However, it doesn't apply any analogue clock.

The preview of the clocks are there but are never applied, every other
function works just fine I'm pleased to say.

Anyone else have this problem?

As to wallpaper support, I use S2V for that.

you need to launch the s2u2customizer.exe you can copy a shortcut in the program folder

Love this program- thanks heaps- i have created my own button for sliding in the form of the mighty Geelong Cats (my AFL team)...

Only bug i have found is also the clocks not applying- can't find golden clock either as the folder is named incorrectly....

It looks for ur \program files\s2u2 folder. I know \Program files folder is named differently for each language but it is taken care of. tell me wat is ur \program files folder named.

If you installed S2U2C manually first as by the instructions you created the folder in the root of the storage card. Now when you install the cab, the new folder installs under storage card/program files, so you just have to move all the folders inside the old folder (gfx, themes and others) to the new folder, so you have access to them from the new program. Then you can delete the old folder.

You can accomplish that with the themes import. There is no need to import a whole theme. Just make a zip file with what you want to change and apply it. You can make a zip with the weather folder, or with the redcircle.png, or with whatever you like.

i created a cab file that creates all folders and such. this will help in the ease of installation

the files inside the folder however are vga, but this will help you to follow how this program works. and you can simply delete the files you want.

Pretty Cool.

It took me a little while to get it set-up, but I now have it working. When installing create a folder in your S2U2 folder called S2U2customizer. Inside that folder create 2 more folders for Clocks and Arrows. Extract all the clocks into the clock folder and and all the arrows into the arrow folder. Then put the S2U2customizer exe and all the preview .pngs into the S2U2customizer folder. Then run the exe and then make changes.

worked great.... have just one, or two issues:

1. I did not have an option of where to install the s2u2c, so when it installed I moved it to the s2u2 folder as listed above... in the programs' menu, the link to open the s2u2c application is now 'dead'; and I have to open it manually through file explorer.

2. When I installed the s2u2, it by default installed in the main memory... no option to install in storage... so both the s2u2 and s2u2c applications are now in main memory...
a) how can I install the s2u2 in storage memory, or
b) If I move these files (if it will let me), how can I make sure the
corresponding links in programs menue work, if this will work at all?
c) or, how can I get rid of some of the OEM Verizon programs, such
as visual voice mail, to free up my main memory space?

First off thanks for developing this software, I know this version was made to work with 1.37 version of s2u2 , I am using s2u2 version 1.4 and seems to be working fine except when I try to change clocks I get the message \gfx clocks no clocks found.

This may be a s2u2 issue because I can not get it to display a clock that is why I was trying the customizer. The folder is there and a lot of files are in it I assume clock files but customiser does not see it.

Like I said I am wondering if s2u2 does either because I can not get a clock to display not matter what.


Anyway if anyone has ideas what might be the issue please let me know, and again thanks for the software. As soon as I get some money built back up in my pay pal account (Christmas drained) I will make a donation.

redcircle is the file that is the backround for the count on new email, txt and such. by default its red, so its called redcircle. i personally dont like the color red so i am happy now that i can change it to whatever i like

yes when you install the cab either VGA or QVGA

it will make the folders for you, as well as install the graphics.

Now mushi's pack is for QVGA so thats the graphics in the QVGA cab

for VGA i used graphics from skin zone.

all i did was take his Pack, and create a self installer. Nothing more.


alot of people do not realize that his wonderful program requires the user to create folders, then place files in those folders...

he created a pack of files and folders to help users do this....

i created a way to one click install his pack to further help users out...

if those graphics are not in the cab, please let me know and i will fix that right away.

what this means is.

for example, you have a battery named skinzone
and there is a folder for it called skinzone

so the structure is gfx\battery\skinzone

you need to have a picture that matches your folder inside the battery folder

example gfx\battery\skinzone.png

also i screen snapped by HANDS directory so you can see how the preview is designed.


oh one final note, graphics that are single graphics.. IE redcircle, notice.. these do not need any preview, as there is only one image the program knows this and shows you the single images.

Therefore, when you mention the right soft key, I do not have it & I also cannot locate the file customiser.exe

After installing the S2U2 v1.42, I have the following files

a) Faq
b) History
c) License
d) Readme
e) S2U2 v1.42 (cab files)

After installing the Customiser Pack, I have the following folders.

a) Arrow
b) Battery
c) ClockA
d) Clock
e) Hands
f) Notice
g) Slide

May i know if the S2U2C file is the same as the Customiser Pack v0.08 ?

One gentleman from another forum was helping the community in customizing & designing the buttons, battery animation etc. he was suggesting steps like changing the slideanis.png......which I am unable to locate these files :-(

so at this point you should only have s2u2 and s2u2c installed.

nothing more...


then.. almost done..

you will need to register... then download the cab file for your version of phone.



So basically heres what all this will do.

you will have Slide 2 Unlock installed.

You will have Slide 2 unlock Customizer

And you will have the Customizer pack full of neat graphics.

is for the customizer pack you already installed.. however it cannot be installed unless slide 2 unlock customizer is already installed.


And the file on that link, will create all the folder you will need.


And finally, just so you follow

s2u2 from A_C is one program

and S2u2c from Mushi is a whole other program.

They do not reside in the same folder.


basically, s2u2 is the TV and s2u2c is the fancy universal remote for the TV.

I hope this helps and doesnt confuse you even more.

2a) i self created a folder "gfx" and saved in Internal Storage\Program Files\S2U2C\gfx

But when I download & run the customiser pack from Mr Mushi, i get all the 7 files namely Arrows, Battery, ClockA, Clock, Hands, Notice, Slide. i copied & paste all these into Internal Storage\Program Files\S2U2C\gfx\

I am able to change the clock face....Now the problem is when I change in the S2U2C program, the image is QVGA ???

My file, when ran, creates the folder gfx.


so it may have created an issue there.


but thats ok, we are on the right path.

Now you can see images..

Now your only problem is QVGA images.

Then I tried to add the file-name manually (TomTom Navigator.exe), but after 'Apply' the entry will not be stored.
The only solution was really to dig out the registry editor and add the exception-key manually there.
Maybe you could review the exception-handling or better include the standard navigation-applications already iin the provided exceptions.

Great program. Ive been waiting for something like this for a while.

It DOES crash when it asks me to "set the path" of the app when it cannot find S2U2.

I have S2U2 baked into my ROM, so it doesn't have the default install paths.

Is there a way to set this in the registry? or some other solution?

mushipkw....I have a couple strange instances on my Omnia i910. For one, I can't change the position of the clock, in following instructions, it is always in the same place when I exit. Also, harking from earlier versions, when I exit, my time switches to military (24 hr) time, and I can't get it to switch back no matter what setting I chose.

A new bug is that now I can't open S2U2's settings app, it acts like it wants to open, then nothing.

EDIT:.....OK.....I went back into S2U2C and changed all the clock settings back to original, and after saving that, I was able to change the clock settings and open S2U2 settings again!

I've not had any luck with S2U2 in general or this customization unfortunately...
I have a QVGA touch phone.

My problems(or misunderstanding on how this works):
- When I try to load a background image, it only shows when a call is coming in (s2u2 asks if I want to accept or decline)
- The background seems to be the "battery" (the terminator battery is the background as an example which is confusing)

Is it possible to turn off the device after time.
i know i've bad english.
i want my device turn off after 5 second when the screen turn on in my pocket. On my device whith WM6.1 the time to turn off the device is 1mn mini if the device is not used. My device turn on when the phone signal change and my battery dont like.
If S2U2 turn off the device after 5 s when it's loock exept calls it was super.

im using s2u2 1.45 and i got the same problem, couldnt move position of date and time like in ur screenshot..
and another thing, when i choose to hide time and date in "tweaks" while their format are set in "info", they wont hide after exit, so i have to delete both time and date format in "info" for having them hide..
got a solution?

[My smallest clock has 73x88 pixel png's and my largest clock has 102x106 pixel png's]

With a "small" clock I can move the clock by up to 9-10 points, but with "larger" clock I cannot move it at all

I'm guessing that there is a limited amount of screen space to play with, and so with the larger clocks there is no "free" screen space (but for the smaller ones there is "free" screen space and I can move the clock)

I hope this might help in fixing the bug??

I use a handful in rotation (some go better with one background, others with different ones etc) and am using a few from your good self (and some from Bob_55 of course), but resorted to making my own as I couldn't really find what I wanted.

I'm no developper and not even a skinner, but even I can manage to create clocks myself (using your S2U2C to change them)
Happy to post a couple if there is interest (VGA only -Xperia user)

By the way VGA users can easily use QVGA digital clocks and they are smaller for you with no editing at all. Just load the QVGA clock files and you are all done. Simple as that, no effort at all. Now us QVGA users we will be limited for a while...........

After the success of S2U2 Customization thread, I decided to develop S2U2 customizer,

Requirements:
1. .NET Frameowrk 2.0
2. S2U2

To get it working
1. Extract all files in the zip to any folder.
2. Extract the S2U2 customizer pack and copy all the folders to \[S2U2Customizer app folder]\gfx folder in the application folder.

Folders should be copied to \S2U2C\gfx folder not \S2U2\gfx folder & App can run from Memory Card.
To add more
1. Add Clocks in the \gfx\Clocks\\[Name]\ folder, drop a preview in the \gfx\Clocks\ with the same name as folder.
2. Add Analog Clocks in \gfx\ClockA\
3. Add Clock Hands in \gfx\Hands\[Name]\, drop a preview in \gfx\Hands\ with the same name.
4. Add Arrows in \gfx\Arrows\
5. Add Notice in \gfx\Notice\
5. Add Slide in \gfx\Slide\
6. Add Battery in \gfx\Battery\[Name]\, drop a preview in \gfx\battery\ with the same name.

Use the attached zip files for starter.
Extract Clocks.zip to \Clocks folder
Extract Arrows.zip to \Arrows folder.

Remember all images to be in png format.

hi im new hir...i downloaded the zip file and extract it.only 3 files have been extracted(s2u2c cab,readme,setup i think) how can i change the clock,battery,arrow...etc if i dont have the files. i install the cab file and go to s2u2 customizer program but can not change everthing..it says \gfx\clock\doesn't exists..pls help i really like your ..work

You need to go to the first post and d/l the customizer pack. D/l and unzip to either your device or storage card. Then go to S2U2C and choose the ones included in the pack.

When downloading other batteries from like skinzone, you will need to rename them to the corresponding folders.

I have yet to figure out the "import themes" function. Mine always crashes when I hit the button lol...GL

In the themes folder you can store complete themes in zip form, import themes will copy the theme to the s2u2 gfx folder. Works very well for me.

If it is for the digital clock you can take a copy of the 0 digit and rename it same as the folder, and if it is for the analog clock you can take a copy of the clock face. Tha is the preview that will be displayed.

hi just downloaded the customization pack...now i had the files of battery,clocks,slide..etc. but i dont have the folder of s2u2C.should i create it in my storage?

I have read the FAQ, this forum, A_C's S2U2 threads itself, and searched profusely ...but i still have this question:-
What is the difference between SLIDE and SLIDEN??

S2U2C allows you to easily change the slide.png ...but then asks you whether to use it as SLIDE or SLIDEN :confused:

Can anyone enlighten me???
