TomTom can't find maps

I've installed TomTom 6 and downloaded USA and Canada maps and copied to Storage Card.
After runing TomTom 6, it couldn't find any map although I have USA and Canada maps in my storage card.
What's wrong?

Tomtom is a bit specific where the maps have to be.
The maps have to be in a folder one level deep now more no less. they cant in the root of the card or in say \TT6\maps\.

Worse comes to worse try using the tomtom home application to install the maps.
