Hi all,
first of all i hope i'm posting on the correct section asking for help on this project i started a couple of days ago. the thing is that i can't seem to make this work and i can't figure out why.
I hope someone can help.
I ripped the celebrity voices from the tomtom navigation app and i'm trying to intergrade them to destinator 7 and igo8 navigation softwares.
Here's what i found out so far.

i downloaded the tomtom voice packs from this site and then tried to find a conversion method:
http://www.gps-data-team.com/pda-gps-navigation/links/index.php
or here:
http://www.ozpoi.com/TomTom_Voices.html
or here in .wav format:
http://www.mkfx.com/voices/

here's some instructions for a previous version of destinator. its not the same with version7 though and i can't figure out the filename changes:
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=33804&highlight=tomtom+voice
it also includes all the tools to convert .vif to .ogg to .wav

another small guide can be found here:
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/720535-post10.html

i dont understand why the .wav i converted don't play on destinator 7 and also can't figure out how to modify the .ini file (what to write inside i mean) in order for the program to access them.

thank you for the help in advance
looking forward to some weird yoda navigation voice on my destinator :p :D:confused:

I think that destinator uses only spx files for voice directions. So you must convert the files to spx format. In voice directory except the spx files there are 2 ini files. The voice.ini that defines where the spx files will use, and the spx_files.ini that connects the name of each file(without the .spx) with the corresponding direction: filename=voice navigation (e.g app_destination=approaching destination in or e_l=exit to the left)
Hope that this give a little help to you and some directions, cause my english are not so good.
