Does anyone know how to stop the pop up keyboard? IN general it doesnt come up, except in OPERA, and man is it annoying. Ive tried a registry key change (hkey_current_user\control_panel\sip\allowchange), but it keeps changing back from 0 (i set) to 1 (the original) after I try to soft reset it to make it stick... Any clues?

Normally it will disappear as soon as you type a letter on the hardware keyboard.

Install both Sleuth's SIP Change and Beemer's Null Keyboard.
After BeemerNullKB.cab the Pro should ask you to soft reset.
Open SIPChange and choose NullKB.
I've tried several other ways using the registry, but all cause problems. This is the best way and it doesn't constantly use any resources. SIPChange just run's once at startup and that's it.
Big thanks to Beemer and Sleuth. I should link to their threads, but just to lazy to search again. Sorry :(

+1 on KBNull plus Sip Changer.
However I still run in to the keyboard popping up when I am in Opera. It is true it disappears as soon as I start to type something but I would prefer it not come up at all even in Opera.

I may be wrong, but I believe Opera has it's own keyboard. I had a Touch Diamond for a while and I noticed that the font on the keyboard looked different while I had Opera launched. Also in landscape mode Opera has a completely different SIP from the device.

A basically equivalent method I use is the install NullKB and use SKTools to set NullKB to the default input method.

This is how I've done it.. Seems to work. I haven't had any problems yet.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip
DWORD:
AllowChange - value:1 - change to 0
DragStyle - value:0 - change to 1
MenuBarHeight - value: 34 - change to 1

Not too sure why your registry is reseting. Mine is not. I did have a similar problem with registry resets on my Vogue. I ended up switching the Rom for a different one and never had the problem since. Sorry buddy.. No solution for you.
