After many releases in Italy, the Tir Team have decided to release a rom WWE for Kaiser. This is our first job, so any suggestions will be appreciated.

Some words about PDM.
PDM is an application created by Ciobo for TiR Rom, and with it you can download all the programs uploaded into a server directly into your kaiser. You can see the list of files (now included also Rom and Radio) and you can select multiple downloads.

Bug: Rom doesn't completly translate.
Answer: this is our first rom in wwe so be patient, write all word or program aren't in english and in next fix or release will be correct.

Bug: M2d in Landscape is a black screen
Answer: it isn't a bug but a my choice. I don't like other solutions, so i prefer to wait the new m2d with landscape.

its over!!!!!! i love it all it needs is the 6.8 camera n a landscape "maybe you can use the background image as landscape" best thing about it is that it doesn't lag EVEN N LANDSCAPE just a black screen but its FAST, very fast, like unslow fast like women who make u itch the next morning fast .... but in a good way...not the itching though. seeing how that cant be to good. this is indeed one to the greatest roms ive ever used, the only problem i have is when i type up a new text message and hit send it jumps back out to the main screen instead of staying in the message, also while receiving text messages, if the same person sends me a message it creates a separate tread each time that person sends me a message instead of putting the message in the original thread.

Use Schap's Advanced Config Tool, under Messaging menu, and activate Threaded Messaging. Your 2nd problem will be solved. I'm trying to recreate your 1st problem now to see exactly what's happening...

Just played with it, looks nice, beside the language issues:

Pro:

Good looking
Reasonable fast (in the same area as Athine ME 1.2)
Nice tweaks (Calculator, Weather icons for example)
Audio player works
iGO works


Contra:

Language issues
No custom NBH boot screen (would give it the last touch)
No ManilaGFX folder under Windows (could cause trouble since that's the new structure)
No way to apply analog clock coming with a theme under default home
Rk-sleep wont work (have to figure out why, guess it's related to the date format nls/override)
Could have a little more free RAM after install (sync'd only 42 MB free)
Good cooked M2D (default file count)
Seems to be a little battery hungry with hardSPL 3.56 and 1.70.18.02 radio


Guess I'll go back to Athene ME 1.2 and look how this thread develops.

Battery is OK on my side...HardSPL v3.29 and NIKI radio v1.65.24.36...actually very impressive life in the 2 hours I've been running it now...but the language issue is much more wider than I suspected. I thought I could live with a few translations which I was going to do myself but there are so many thngs that have not been fully translated.
I just found out RSSHub is still in Italian as well...

Sad to abandon such a great ROM but man I speak English...

This rom is epic.:D It is fast, looks sweet and the extra home page is king.

But it is in need of barely 2 things to be perfect:

#1 -- Turn off that damned Big menu thing that squats on my screen when I tap battery power or volume. Sure its fat finger freindly, but its an extra step I dont need with a stylus or my finger nail.

#2 -- Landscape mode. Its a big ask, but it would be F###ing sweet! But thanks for sending the screen black when it does goe landscape, instead of giving me all that jumbled garbage the other roms do!

BTW: Does anyone here know how to put games onto these PDA's? I work in C# and C++, and was wondering if anyone of you fine people could link me up with a quick tut?

Edit: Just got total commander to turn off #1, via reg edit, under \\\registry\hklm\software\htc\EnlargeTitleBar\Enab le ->set to 0. Just in case anyone else wants it off too.

Sounds to me like you need a wm6.1 radio. Check the Radio thread that's stickied. While you're there, read the FAQ's and wikis.

they made the landscape go blank instead of haywire like the current manila versions...there is no landscape currently for manila.

Like this ROM so far, speed and not a single lock-up so far even when abused (iGO minimized under M2D etc.)

Install the latest WWE (9.5.2745) from the dev. and hacking section. Ignore the cannot uninstall soft reset ... works

Cook in the usual picture and video. When you click on a picture file with this rom instead of displaying the picture it goes to camera album then you have to search for the picture. Another chef had this problem and solved it by including Picture and Video into the rom. Goin to bed now but just saw this right away. So far looks great. Oh, id also update the battery status icon on the top right bar to a more accurate one with the battery and percentage on it. Thanks!

Landscape isn't supported yey anyway so why bother. It works with applications that's what counts. HTC Home, yes that's an issue.

Lots of chefs here dont put too much character into their roms but this has tons! Love your red city theme too, so clean looking. I hate manilla roms but after trying this one ima keep it for awhile. Me amoung most users dont like manilla since it dosnt support landscape but when it does, you guys will be flawless! Now, heres to bugs or things ive found from using the rom fr 36hrs:
1. Fix the picture file extension. U guys have photo and video cooked in but when i select a jpeg file for some reason the camera album pops up without displaying the file. Also it comes up in landscape mode.
2. GPS Rapido, already commented on
3. Registr. vocale, probably already commented on too
4. The software or sip keyboard could use a nice skin. Its bad that i have this amazing red city theme but when my sip keyboard pops up its boring stock black and white. Maybe u guys can skin the keyboard to match the theme?
5. Battery status icon manilla, this is a very inaccurate battery status icon. Ive seen some manilla roms with a battery status icon like the one from quickmenu and looks awesome on manilla instead of this one. A more accurate battery status icon displaying a picture of the battery and a percentage would be much better, im sure many will agree on this.
Thats about it from what ive found so far. Im in southern california using the emo radio and get great 3g service everywhere! Also get a gps lock under a minute! Few more little touches i forgot. Love your diaer very much on how it goes with everything. Only thing i would add to it is smartdialing if you could while keeping the dialer how it is. Also, the bluetooth icon on the dialer if you could hve it match the theme color (mine is red city) instead of purple. The purple icon really stands out and looks very awkward compared to the rest of the theme. If you could add that to your color themes like fr the red city have the icon red, orange city have the icon orange, etc. Thats all, just noticed that while on a call looking at the dialer.

Doesnt look like adobe flash lite 3.1 is cooked in. This app is kind of a must so including it next release would be great. Also, for the programs cooked in maybe u guys could make a few folders to put them in to make the programs folder look more tidy and not scattered. Just nit picking here but would be nice and make the rom look a lot cleaner.

I use poorlyducksM2D looks good with the default skin.
If you install RED you have to reinstall the dialer again otherwise you cannot read the icons for hold/swap/speaker on/off.

If I may ask a favor for my own personal enjoyment. Can you make a green skin for it? I am using the red and it looks great but I prefer a mid green color for the Nior type look you got on this one. Other then that I look forward to your next/updated roms.

great work, the speediest rom I've installed since my test with AthineOS. I've just one problem, the keyboard layout has changed for some reason. I've never had this problem with other roms. I have an original Dutch HTC TynTn II. I've tried everything, from the input option in Schap's Advanced Config to altering the registry with the Locale key, nothing works! Does anybody have any ideas??

You must install "Scotchua Manila Fix.cab" and edit "HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml" in /Windows folder. Restart. Done.

4) experience massive battery drain with 1.71 radio, reverting to 1.70 or 1.65

5) sometime experience a little lag, what hard spl do you recommend?

6) when going back to manila in landscape, i see the black screen for a second, then manila in vertical. isnt the black screen supposed to stay?

otherwise very very fast and smooth rom, i will stick to it until first rom with manila landscape is out ;)

Perhaps others found out as well:
Home widget is Digital
Home-1 widget analog.
A different approach though uncommon, not to bad. With the analog clock you may have to edit the HTCHOMESETTINGS.XML for the right position. I didn't play with it yet but in general a terrific ROM.
I also installed the latest WWE Opera - works like a champ, even in a way that I like Opera (yes I have skyfire....).
I have some random active snc problems and first thought it's this ROM BUT just found out that our IT installed some patches on our outlook servers - so i guess I resync through the air to get the latest certificates.
So far I'm V E R Y impressed with this ROM. It has almost the same speed as Athines ME 1.2 but seems to be a little bit cleaner cooked.

I'm not in for a fight but take a look at the attached screen (ON TOP TOP...that little tiny colored bar).
You see very well without clicking there are 75 or 56% left just by that little bar... perhaps it's just me i don't need information overload...

I just checked and T.i.R. is running dynamic page pool (guess 12 meg). Though that I'm used to a large decrease in memory (down to 65 % of used RAM with dynamic page pooled ROMs) I see with T.i.R. numbers as high as 80% used RAM. Though i.e applications as iGO do start, don't crash and run pretty fast it would be interesting if this memory ever gets released again (I mean visibly released that the used RAM amount declines to the more common 50 - 55%). As said, no stability issues (yet) but noticeable RAM usage (which should translate in a slightly higher power consumption). If this is NOT the case there could be a potential memory leak - which I am investigating since 2 days but couldn't find a trace yet.
Not many other tweaks applied beside "no wake up on slight out" and a 30 sec wait time for WiFi scan. I let the file system cache alone as well (default is 0 = dynamic).

Tina *chuckling*, I experienced with SKTools some trouble with cooked ROMs (same sometimes with AdvCfg. as well) and wont use them until I'm really stuck an frustrated. I tried SK and it didn't free up the RAM (which it should if it is a true leak), same for the shadow cleaner, so it's either a highly sophisticated RAM process or I have to relearn how WinMo deals with dynamic page pool until it crashes and - so far - NO CRASH AND NO SLOW DOWN IN SPEED (growing more gray hair as I already have).
"Flesh" it! I'm more happy as I was with PDA's and Hyperdragon's (no offense to these chefs but these ROMs didn't do it for me personally since I like "naked") and torn between Athine and this one and NO DOUBT the clean eOS series.

BTW copy the default tsk file and keep it somewhere - I loved the diamond tsk until I saw this one (solid black bars with blue bars in programs).

ok so i said i would flash and report back. So here goes...

after using the mentioned rom for about 24hrs with no charge time in between i have the following to report:


Pros:
1. fast as hell! this rom is super quick no issues there
2. the sktools app "freeram" helps so much with this..it does in fact free up space
3. not a memory nor batt hog..considering im using the radio : 1.58.25.17
4. the included skin and weather graphics for manilla 2d is awesome!


Cons:
1. as well all know some apps are still in italian
2. no built in soft reset..every rom now a days has that..possibly can be implemented on future releases ?
3. PDM app locks up after a few seconds
4. Camera functionality is shot


Suggestions:
1. the skins created ( red, green and orange ) can they be made in m2dct format. using cabs creates issues and takes up uneccessary space on ur device
2. implement that soft reset option.
3. get minor language bugs fixed
4. get that camera fixed on the next version.
THIS JUST IN :

the camera does not work properly..i never thought to check it out since i rarely use my camera but i tested it and it does not work at all!

other than that no issues what so ever to report..speedy reliable dependable.
everything u need to have in a kaiser rom :D

thats the thing i left it as is, and it worked great. no specific settings for sktools

and as a matter of fact iGO has no issues at all.

Can you load any other md2 skins on this rom besides the ones shown? Twolf has a page full of skins and they will not load for me. I can load them on other rom's however when you try to load them touchflo will not activate. Is there something I am doing wrong or is it the build? btw best rom ever!!!

Put your device in tri-colour and try flashing from there...
Press and hold camera button and soft-reset...then connect your device to your PC...when screen shows USB connection, start flashing...I've been flashing like this on Vista Ultimate SP2 for ever.

Dude, you lost me! You're trying to load twolf skins into Manila2D? And you need a version of TouchFLO higher than v2?

I always lose you and of course i loaded the latest customizer. I have done this before on pda corner. i talked to twolf and he assured me that the touchflo ver was the problem. his skins do not run on anything lower than v2 and btw I am not a dude

Ok moe went back and flashed pda corner it has touchflo v 3 and everything worked fine. I was just lookinf for a higher version of TF nothing more. Thanks for your help.

I have been running this rom since it was released and have found the power consumption to be far less than most others, yesterday i started the day with a full charge and made half a dozen short calls and last thing at night i put it back on charge and it was fully charged within 20 minutes, unheard of before.

1. The second home is much better than the original one. However, it may not be necessary to have two home. I personally prefer to have the second home only.
2. The toolbars (bottom scroller) could be hidden if not in use. This is gonna give more space.
3. The sound (Ringtone) is not working fine with mine ATT Tilt.

Uh oh, aren't these the translation bugs that we spoke about in v8? Are you sure you've downloaded v8.1? The 2 download links are so close to one another in that post and maybe you hit link for v8 instead of v8.1? I've downloaded the v8.1 but haven't flashed yet but your comments are definitely not good news for me, especially after waiting 2 weeks for the fix!

It is different than V8K because "Quick GPS" does have its correct english name. In V8K it still had its Italian name.

For some reason, the ROM version stated in the Device Information states T.I.R.v8K WWE, ROM Date: 07/17/08.
The ROM version should state 8.1 at least...

Soooo, wuts different from v8 to 8.1? It seems from reading peoples replies it just a fw more apps but not all are english now and a program replaced with another sounds about it. Im running v8 just fine, care less about the apps in italian since i dont use those apps anyways. Is this really an upgrde to switch from v8 to? First I have to say WOW! For these guys to give us this as their first rom here is damn impressive, well done. You guys really brought a fast and stable rom here with tons of character as well. Lots of chefs here dont put too much character into their roms but this has tons! Love your red city theme too, so clean looking. I hate manilla roms but after trying this one ima keep it for awhile. Me amoung most users dont like manilla since it dosnt support landscape but when it does, you guys will be flawless! Now, heres to bugs or things ive found from using the rom fr 36hrs:
1. Fix the picture file extension. U guys have photo and video cooked in but when i select a jpeg file for some reason the camera album pops up without displaying the file. Also it comes up in landscape mode.
2. GPS Rapido, already commented on
3. Registr. vocale, probably already commented on too
4. The software or sip keyboard could use a nice skin. Its bad that i have this amazing red city theme but when my sip keyboard pops up its boring stock black and white. Maybe u guys can skin the keyboard to match the theme?
5. Battery status icon manilla, this is a very inaccurate battery status icon. Ive seen some manilla roms with a battery status icon like the one from quickmenu and looks awesome on manilla instead of this one. A more accurate battery status icon displaying a picture of the battery and a percentage would be much better, im sure many will agree on this.
Thats about it from what ive found so far. Im in southern california using the emo radio and get great 3g service everywhere! Also get a gps lock under a minute! U guys have tons of potential and this rom truly stands out aoung the rest as far as character goes. Sure some chefs change an icon or two or maybe the start icon and dialer, but u guys change it all! I love roms like this with true character in them. Bravo you guys, keep up the good work! Also, do you have a cab for your dialer and maybe a .tsk file fr your red city theme? Would love that. This ones a keeper guys! Hopefully these bugs and suggestions will be fixed soon to make an almost perfect manilla rom (just needs landscape but thats another project)! Thank you!

Few more little touches i forgot. Love your diaer very much on how it goes with everything. Only thing i would add to it is smartdialing if you could while keeping the dialer how it is. Also, the bluetooth icon on the dialer if you could hve it match the theme color (mine is red city) instead of purple. The purple icon really stands out and looks very awkward compared to the rest of the theme. If you could add that to your color themes like fr the red city have the icon red, orange city have the icon orange, etc. Thats all, just noticed that while on a call looking at the dialer.

And this. Imo having all these changes/fixes made would make this the perfect rom to date. Also, not sure about v8.1 since i havent had a chance to flash yet but still a bug not yet mentioned i think. On the att tilt with the hardware keyboard, when u press the Fn key then ok key (for sym in blue to bring up the symbols sip) instead just the standard sip keyboard pops up, not the symbol sip that should pop up. Again, minor bug but still a bug.

Just take any KaiserCustomRUU.exe from another ROM or radio, and put it in the same folder as this .nbh file.

Is this rom working with IGO8 navigation sofrware, plz answer before I flash it it because it is important to me. Now I have WM6.0 rom and IGO8 is working

Simple answer - YES
Only issue as with a lot of other ROMs.
IF iGO starts VERY slow at first start close iGO and do the following:
- Move all files beside basemap.fbl from \content\map to a different folder
- Start iGO and wait until you get a sat lock (ignore the geoinit errors)
- Copy the maps back and you are good to go

Note:
This may happen with any ROM and the above will help all the time.

I noticed that the keyboard mapping is a little out esp with the Fn key activated, the symbol functions are not at the correct keys. I had this issue with both the versions, 8K and the 8.1K. Not too sure if others have the same problem.

Other than the keyboard mappings and some minor translation issues, the ROM is great.

Bump for any updates. Does anyone know if this rom is going to be upated again fixing the minor bugs or is it gonna be left as is? I still think its the best rom to date but would love to see some bug fixes here and there.
Also, think we could get the htcforum.com off the dialer? Kinda makes me feel like im running a trial and after i pay for it the htcforum.com message will go away from the dialer. Just seems like it really doesnt need to be there. Loving the red edition!

As i am a novice in new roms and this is my third i can not really vent anything.. but what i did notice was that this rom is very responsive. It runs prety near to perfect on my kaiser. Strange thing is i do miss 2 simple things, solitaire and bubblebreaker :D sorry i do have to wait many times and these get me around haha other then that super rom! Thx for cooking and sharing!

yeah, in his signature it shows what radio he is using. i figured he would be running his own ROM so that radio would be compatible. and it is!

I loved the rom, its quick and it was nice to play with the touch flo. The hands free feature for BT isn't working for me. Push the button on the headset and there will be a quick click but no prompt to talk and the little mic does not apear. Also the ability to choose what the soft buttons open and also what holding send and receive call buttons open.. Great work though Guys!! Looking forward to seeing the fixes!!!

great rom just cant understand why youtube moves so slow and skyfire wont work? first rom ive flashed and i reflashed the radio because it started buzzing after i made a call and tried to hang up...any ideas? almost 4got, skyfire say's aquiring connection or something and then say's check airplane mode
