PC Will not recognise phone

Ok, so after moving house i have lost the data cable that came with my phone. However i have got another cable that fits, however it does not recognise it on the pc, the phone takes power from the cable however active sync nor device manager seems to find the phone, is this because it isnt the proper cable or have i got a bigger problem?

Nevermind, I found a new cable and it works, now im running a nice new rom :D
Could you someone please close this thread now?
