im gonna chime in here and ask if you are using any weather applications?
if you are, thats whats eating memory, its the processes in the background used to enable those weather applications that , if you are not using any weather apps or panels, should be disabled.
if you are NOT using any WEATHER APPS OR PANELS got to registry and delete the MODULE registry key under HKcu\software\htc\bootlauncher and reboot. when you open celetask you should have not have any WEATHER or HTCACTIVITYLOG running in the processes window any more. memory leaks should stop.

If I want to install a different weather app, what is the best way to remove or deactivate the one that comes with this ROM?

renegadedj and stylez,
Does hiding the app in the configurator make it not run, or just not show up? Is the registry change the better way to go to turn it off and install a different one?
(p.s. I love that weather app for home, but i am going on a trip and the city i want, nor one near it, is not listed)

CHomeConfig will only make it not display on the Homescreen, while as the reg edit will stop the processes of the app "kill the Weather App" make a backup of the reg then when get back from travel can just import reg and get the standard weather working eazy again :)

yep thats what i would do.
IMO weather apps are useless for me. if i wanna know the weather, i just go outside. if i wanna know the weather where i'm going, well, like any good former boy scout, be prepared, and take a damn good sweater or jacket. haha

I want to tether it to my TomTom. I believe with the Kavana ROM it was built in. I might just need to find the DUN cab somewhere.

Hello,
First time upgrading S620 (well, a Rogers S621) for a friend.. not mine, unfortunately =p
Upgraded to 1.7 Final..
1) can't find "Camera" icon.. somehow, someway, managed to get it,
(fiddling around with camera album/etc), but it didn't do anything.. something like "bad link/shorcut".. I tried HARD-RESET; can't find.. re-load 1.7 Final.. can't find ..??
2) "Video Recorder" -- doesn't do anything when click on it (icon changes when
it has the 'mouse focus' but clicking/etc does nothing..
I've tried both with and without a 2GB memory card (can SEE the pictures on the card, so it's recognized).
??
Am I missing something?
Thank you!

Just downloaded 1.7, and for some reason I can't get wifi to work, and I'm not able to download MMS. I'm not sure if it's already been answered by someone, or in a faq somewhere, but if it is I can't seem to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some people have had various issues with 1.7 of this rom. It's recommended that after flashing this rom users immediately do a hard reset and then do your customizing and installing of apps.

i used to use the kavana ROM on my old dash, t-mo sent me a new one today and i reflashed trying this version instead.
my only gripe is that the home screen section (CHOME in the CHOMECONFIGURATOR) only displays the missed/recent calls list and the voicemail; in the kavana version it had a sms option also.
any way to change that?

Yes you can in CHome show CMessage, then the 2 @ top of list will show missed calls & messages.

Run the auto.bat in the FLASH ROM folder follow the instructions, if you get stuck @ 3% please read this post and follow directions (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2807194&postcount=485) before flash.[/B]
Hard-Reset after you flash to stop probable problems "If you didn't and have issues please Hard-Reset before posting"

Had this rom installed, was freezing, so I went to reflash via the above instruction, and the "hard reset". After hard reset and power up, white screen appears no longer with the "HTC" logo, and the phone freezes/sticks on the Window's Mobile screen. Removed battery and powered up several times but the same thing occurs. HELP!

I had the same problem for a time and, it wasn't too long before the phone started just going completely when connecting to the internet, in a phone call, etc.
I also had the weird thing where, when it booted, the phone would show no battery power at all and shut down. When I would hook to a power source to recharge, it would reboot and, once in the main window, I could reboot from there and it would show the power as back up to 70, 80 or even 90%.
My current problem is shutting down when hitting the internet again. This is a new phone, fresh flashed with ROSE 1.7. I will probably try reflashing with 1.6 when I get home tonight and see what that brings. I hate the thought of going back to the OEM 6.0 :( YUCK!
Currently, I am at work and, when I tried to connect to the internet, it would not connect and shut down when I changed the settings in GPRS. This morning it did the same thing, when I tried to turn it on, it comes to the HTC screen, buzzes and shuts down. I have done this about a dozen times so far THIS afternoon, I did it for about an hour this morning.

I bet you didn't perform the "required" hard reset [/industrial strength sarcasm].
Yes, I have been plagued with much-shortened battery life as well.
I think I'm going back to Rickywats remake of Kavana's ROM.
"What we have here is a failure to communicate."
Well, what we REALLY have here is "software development" in the sense that MASH 4077 was a "surgical hospital". Slap-Dash (pun intended) and meatball, at best.
For example, when one these code-cowboys decides to cook up a ROM, do they:
1) Create a High-level Design Proposal that includes the programs, features, and utilities they intend to include, and then post it here and ask for public input before ever venturing into the "kitchen"? No.
2) Provide regular updates on the forum during the development process? No.
3) Implement a procedure for tracking issues as they arise during the dev process, including assigning an issue number (we call it a "Software Change Request, or SCR)? No.
4) Do they use a panel of software quality-assurance testers to evaluate the product and detect issues before releasing the ROM to the general public? No.
5) Do they release the ROM in stages such as Alpha (basic functionality is in place and working), Beta (all functionality and features are in place, most are working, ROM is stable), and Final Release (all features and functionality are in place and working correctly, ROM is stable, issues that were discovered (and tracked) in the Alpha and Beta phases have been corrected or deferred to a patch or service pack to be released later? No.
6) Are there procedures in place to accept and track issues reported by users post-release, with fixes/patches posted for download with README's describing exactly how the issue presented, what was the cause of the issue, and how it was fixed? No. (Just adding the a CAB file named "BaseHueFix.cab" to the D/L page doesn't cut it. I don't have time to read through 70+ pages of postings to see if that's the fix for my battery-draining issue. And yes, I've used Search, the # 2 "answer" to "fixing" problems right after "hard reset".).
Do I sound like I know something about software dev? Well, yeah I do.
I've been in software engineering for nearly nine years, three in tech support and the rest in QA.
This a-here is "hobby" programming for cell phones. So, you take what you get. And they are fun to play with.
FWIW, my recommendation is to NOT use these ROM's on a phone that you might actually NEED to be productive or have to rely on in an emergency. The OEM ROM might be ugly and lack features you would like to have, but it will have been through the processes I listed above and will typically be more stable, reliable product (though not always).

Not to sound like a d*ck, as two wrongs don't make a right, but the ROM developers on here are doing this in their spare time and for fun. There are several releases of each ROM and there are generally .txt files with the changes laid out nicely for people to see and choose which ROM/version they'd like to use. Also, the threads for each ROM are to be used as a sounding board for issues and problems. There is ample information to ensure that problems are resolved. As for the Alpha, Beta, etc...People at MS as well as other pay software creators are paid for their work and have the necessary resources to go through all of the steps that you'd listed. Additionally, these companies have to be sure that they have nearly all of the bugs worked out before they release or people will lose faith in the developers' company and stop PAYING for software.
I have used several and am currently using Kavana's remade by Ricky. The battery life on the Dash is poor no matter what 6.1 ROM you're using.
This forum is for people who have an idea as to what they're doing and aren't afraid to try something a bit shy of leagal on their device. Sometimes you roll 7 or 11 and sometimes you crap out. Either way you've tried something and learned a bit more about how your device works.
The long and short of it is that nobody needs to be b*tching to these folks about what's going wrong with an install. Look for information and solve your problems or don't take the risk.

My exact quote was:

Several people on here have more than one phone. The ROMs are fun to play with, I just wouldn't to load one up on a phone that I might need to call for an ambulance. At least, not until I had tested it for weeks under varying loads and conditions. So I load them up on a "spare" and keep a backup phone.
It's been a blast for the most part, and I have learned a lot about cell phones that I didn't know. :)

I meant nothing personal, Stylez, and it is unfortunate that you took it that way.
But I wasn't "moaning", I was just making observations about the ROM developement processes (or lack thereof). As for reading the threads to see how you are supporting your product, I have read many, many threads and postings. The reason you (and other developers) have to keep answering the same questions over and over is because of the lack of standardized processes in place for tracking issues as they arise. On a related note, 4000+ downloads does not equal 4000+ permanent implementations nor 4000+ happy customers.
I am not demeaning the efforts of you, Rickywats, Kavana, et al. Quite the contrary, I commend the amazing abilites and you all possess! And I know firsthand that software developement requires a lot of effort, and I applaud you all for making that effort.
I do feel that the products delivered to the public could be better developed and we, the customers, more satisfied, if some developement and quuality assurance standards were set in place. And that was the point I was making.
Good day.

I have had some small issues with this ROM, but nothing serious. There was the battery issue, but a hard reset did care for it. Every once in awhile I am noticing a random restart, is that the ROM or some software I installed, I do not know. I make regular backups so I can always go back a few weeks.
A lot of complaints are raised by those that really do not have any business adding a cooked ROM to their device. The do not have the technical ability to read the instructions to begin with, and they do not understand that this is a gift, it is free, it did not come with your device. You chose to add this and have the ability to return from whence you came.
I enjoy trying out different ROM's but totally understand it is at my peril. If there is a problem as a group we can try to resolve it, but if not, so be it. It is tantamount to complaining that your daily newspaper was late when you do not pay for the paper to begin with.

No worries, i'm sure that if the redies where available and we got paid for our time then there would be alot done different, i understand how software development works in the business secetor but like quoted we are not making money and spend many hours of our time devoted to projects that we see no return except happy customers "oh and the disgruntled" to which doesn't detur us.
You have to understand from my point you come into a thread and write what you did then you gotta expect a response, if i had gone away and probably sat down and thought about my response it would have read the same as thousandlegs

I have to say that it has been a long time now and i have not had issues with the ROM. there are your scheduled resets and once in a while resets that need to take place because phone froze, but other then that, i advise people to load this rom you will love your dash again.
I have to say that touch screen offers more powerful programs, but this ROM makes the dash a new phone.
you will not want to get rid of the phone once you have installed this rom.

I did some digging through the rest of the forums and it looks like there are numerous versions of this HTCActivityLogExe.exe app. A lot of them have an enormous memory leak and some don't. I was also able to track down that this process gets launched when you use the HTCSlidingHomePanel. The weatherupdateservice gets called which in turns loads the HTCactivity app.
For those who just want their phone to run without running out of memory every 5 txt's do the following:
Go to HKCU\Software\HTC\Bootlauncher\Apps\HTCSlidingPane l and delete the "Module" key which has a value referencing the weather app. When you reboot, WeatherApp.exe, WeatherUpdateService.exe and HTCActivityLog.exe no longer load. Apparently they are all part of the weather app.
So perhaps those who are not having issues are not using this home screen?
I didn't have the problem, and I wasn't using that home screen... however, WeatherUpdateService was still loading on boot, as well as tmail.exe. This successfully stopped that from loading.
Do we need tmail.exe to load as well, or can we delete the registry module for that as well...?

Leave tmail alone as it's the process for your message box etc, hardly takes any RAM and does not consume battery. :)

Hey stylez, I flashed your ROM v1.7a.
Gonna test it for a week or so to see if I will keep it running or go back to Kavana's.
It looks real good btw. I like the black HTC logo thing when you start it. You got some nice themes with the green/black, which is more of a esmerald to be honest, the grey bars are cool, even though you have double sounds like two Old School tones, and others. Really like the new image for when you lower or make higher volume. :)
Great thing is that...
CHome is cool. Not an expert yet but I am playing around with it, reading also the thread in here. I tried to install the one for desktop, so to speak, it doesn't work... any reason why? It tells me that the CHomeConfigurator has encoutered a problem and needs to be closed.
I got a couple of questions.
1) First of all, I did the pagepool thing like you said at 4.5. I got around 24 M steady so thats great... but I noticed that the phone runs muuuuuch slower, when I click back, when I install or uninstall something. How come? Is there something related to the pagepooler?
2) When with Kavana 6.1, I had full bars and reception everywhere, but last night I had the phone go on searching way too many times and yes I did configure it for T-Mobile. Any reasons?
3) Can I change the icons using the CHome Config on the phone, or I need the desktop one?
So far not much more. If something else comes to mind I will ask. :)

Yeah the speed decrease is due to pagepool RAM or Speed they knock each other, tended to use RoseROM without, if you look @ CHome Config sticky there is a link in first post with detailed instructions & even a video how to set up own panels :)

Yeah I knew the PagePool had something to do with the lagging of the phone. And I bet you it might have something to do with also the network searching being so slow, although, I am just assuming here. So, just out of curiosity, if I PagePool at 15 instead of back to 12, does it mean my phone will be even faster than at 12... or it doesn't matter because 12 is like the max the phone needs to go at its mazimum speed?
I also can't seem to terminate CommManager and WrlsInt.exe in the Celetasks. I click terminate, click yes... and nothing... they don't go away.
I pretty much got the CHome down, but I don't get why the Zip version doesn't work. Any other links I can get it from? :)

I imagine this is something you should try and see.
If you have a backup application, you should be able to create an image of your software and just tryout different pagepool sizes to see which you like best. I have Sprite Backup, which allows me to make executable images... I have been trying out different pagepool sizes to see what works well.
So far 4.5mb is out... too laggy. 6mb was a little better, but I still felt like it was slow and the only way to have good performance was to overclock the processor which make battery life even worse. 12mb is smooth but I'd still like a bit more ram. I'll be trying 9mb pagepool shortly... just working on a fresh image from scratch so I can really make things easy for myself.
I'd love to hear others' thoughts on what pagepool sizes they like. I know Stylez recommends leaving the Rose pagepool stock, but dropping the older Kavana and Ricky roms to 4.5mb... guess we'll see. ;)

No. The only workaround would involve integrating another weather app into that homescreen and setting it to a different city... would be a lot of work.

Just flashed to 1.7. I find the phone is now in better working order than it was with 1.6. Maybe it's just in my mind...who knows. :D
I've noticed, though, that the battery life meter is not accurate and will not show the true amount of battery life left until the phone is restarted. This started randomly in 1.6 and I figured flashing would help. I'm looking to get a new battery anyway but I wanted to get this onto the forum just in case I am not the only one seeing this.

Holy f@ck, this is what I've been hoping for! The new core but with all the same applications... perfect! I don't know anything about cooking ROMs...but is there any way you can take their 1.7 and pull out what you need, or just replace the core? (That would probably make it too easy, huh?) :)

I hear you about 1.7.
As for Mortscript, I've tried creating a sub called EndGPRS with the command "CloseConnection("The Internet")", with no luck. I also just tried changing the command to "Run("\Windows\DataDisconnect.exe")...also with no luck.
I've been researching for solutions, and came across others trying the Mort. function with no luck... even tried an app by Vijay555 on one of the boards that supposedly terminates GPRS connection, but didn't work either, lol... guess I'll keep looking.

Thanks man, I appreciate that very much. I'll continue to research this and see if I can't find a way to trace what it does when run from Comm Manager (though I don't know much about software)...
On the topic of the ROM, if you guys end up doing this and if it's not too difficult, it would be amazing if you all could integrate Oxios Alarms into the "Clock & Alarm" the way it was in Kavana's and Ricky's v24. It's not a "must have", but a "very nice to have". :)
Edit: Found a solution for the constant network connection in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=305332&highlight=datadisconnect.exe
There's an application that someone wrote for the HTC Breeze that can set a timeout in seconds for the network connection, as well as other settings that I'm still exploring!

Great ROM, but I cannot get the weather to work. I think this has something to do with the fact that I use the so called "T-Zones" hack. My settings:
GPRS
-------
Data1
Connects to: WAP Network
AP: wap.voicestream.com
Data2
Connects to: Work
AP: wap.voicestream.com
Proxy
-------
Proxy1
Connects from: WAP
Connects to: The Internet
IP: 216.155.165.50:8080
HTTP
Proxy2
Connects from: Work
Connects to: The Internet
IP: 216.155.165.50:8080
My question: has anyone using the T-Zones trick got the weather to work with this ROM? I was using a Kavana ROM prior to this and NRG's Weather 3.1 worked fine.
Thanks for you hard work guys, this ROM IS awesome. :)

How many lines do you have on your account?
Based on the pricing and that he stated that he has been with them for a while, I'd have to say 2 lines. 49.99 unlimited calling (I can't remember about the texting part) plus 39.99 for each additional line. It's T-Mo's Customer Loyalty plan. If you are a post paid customer that has been with them for a while and are in good standing (ie not too many late payments, etc.) you will qualify. Call them or go into any store and it will pop up on CAM if you're eligible.
Additionally, I hate to sound like I'm hawking T-Mo, but the 'new' rate plans changed on April 15th and all for the better. They added up to 500 minutes on some of their plans (at the same price) and/or free mobile to mobile. Check the website (or call, go in a store, blah, blah, blah) and see if it's worth it to you. Chances are that it will extend your contract another year on most plans, but if you plan on staying with them it's definitely worth it. :)

Don't know who you talked to, but it is $50+$40 for each additional line for Customer Loyalty plan, at least that what it keeps telling me when I am upgrading peoples contracts every day. :) If you know something different please pm me your rate code and I'll punch it in CAM tomorrow to verify and issue a public formal apology. They are still 'loosely' calling it a 'Family' plan when there is more than one line in order to avoid confusion with customers, it markets (sells) better, for sharing messaging bundles, and to obviously have only one bill, but since it's 'unlimited' it's really all the same (ie you're not pooling minutes). Additionally, some customers were complaining that they were losing their MyFavs. They didn't get that it doesn't matter with an unlimited plan. This (http://www.cellphonesignal.com/t-mobile-unlimited-loyalty-plans-get-official-on-myt-mobilecom/) might explain some too!
And yes, this is waaaay off topic, but I rather not have people thinking that they can get 4 unlimited lines for $89. No offense and take care.
P.S. My sincere apologies to Ricky and Stylez for jacking the thread. On topic, I have been using this ROM for a couple of months now with no glitches. Every day the phone brings a smile to my face. Great work guys!

A) I get a weird symbol when I press alt for the "@" sign. I saw someone say to go to accessories>excalibur eT9 changer. It shows uk, usa, spanish etc. I can't select the other ones. It has UK selected but when i scroll down, the bullet doesnt move. Any reason as to why?
B) I can't edit profiles. I want to rename "Normal," "Silent," and "Vibrate" and change their volumes and what not but it doesn't do anything when I try to edit.
Thanks guys, any feedbacks appreciated.
Don't know about B... but for A, hit right or left to move up or down.

Doh! Just dug in a little deeper and you are correct sir - $89.98 for the first two lines, $39.99 for each additional unlimited line.
Still, a heck of a deal if you ask me! Sorry for the confusion.

i used to use the kavana ROM on my old dash, t-mo sent me a new one today and i reflashed trying this version instead.
my only gripe is that the home screen section (CHOME in the CHOMECONFIGURATOR) only displays the missed/recent calls list and the voicemail; in the kavana version it had a sms option also.
any way to change that?
Yes you can in CHome show CMessage, then the 2 @ top of list will show missed calls & messages.
I have the same problem. But when I click show for CMessage in the CHOMECONFIGURATOR is shows Message Center as a separate panel. But I would like just have new SMS/MMS on CHOME.

Sorry in advance...newbie to this whole thing. But, I have a T-mobile Dash-Black. I see all these Rom Versions out there, what is the best one for my phone? I installed the Vanilla and it seems pretty good, is there a better one. I am have the Alt key mapping issue and my voice command seems to stop working when ever I disconnect my bluetooth headset? Have these issues been addressed in other Roms.
Once again, please be gentle, I'm ignorant! I have tried searching the threads for these issues, and noticed others having them, but I have not seen any fixes?
Thanks

Have you searched for "best rom"? I suspect no, otherwise you'd know the standard answer to that question. I will say this, however... I've used Kavana, Ricky's v24 remake of Kavana, NRG's Rose 1.4, this remake by Ricky and Stylez (v1.7a), and NRG's latest Snap based ROM. All of them are good, but my personal favorites were the latter two. However, I also tend to decompile and scrub ROMs before flashing to my phone now to get rid of unwanted stuff. My advice is to try a few of them and see which you like the best. I think the most recent two will be the most up-to-date and stable of the lot.

Strange...

Hi,
I'm new to rom flashing so any suggestions are apprecieated. I already tried google, the search feature just for this thread, just for the excalibur forums, and for the entire site.
I am using this rom right, without any other app's added. I'm having a problem with Opera Mini. When I try to log into a website, I cannot populate the password field. I can click it, type into it, but when I say i'm done, the field is then blank. Other fields on websites work fine.
Any suggestions?
Thank you for this great rom.

Um, yeah... that's not actually related to this ROM. You just don't know how to use Opera Mini properly. Once you've typed your password into the field, hit the center of your directional button (or "Ok"), then click done.

Being new to this scene, I figured it was rom related since it wasn't happening with my stock rom, and the fact that opera is included in the rom itself. I'm guessing I had an older Opera on there, or possibly just had my password saved and forgot how to put the pass in properly.
Regardless, you solved my problem and thank you.

I have noticed in this and several of the other ROMS that when bringing up photos, it defaults to the device. I don't think I would be too unique in that I always save my photos to my storage card to save device memory. Is there a way to change the default on the picture program (the new one or the old) to look to a default directory on the storage card?

My dash suddenly went hay wire on me and I figured my dash had finally died on me. Decided to try a reflash and go with this ROM from the old kavana version I was using. Seems to have fixed things. This rom seems significantly faster to me, kudos to everyone involved! I can hardly believe how much faster my phone has come from winmo 5 > 6 > 6.1 > kavana > this.
I am rather annoyed at some of the messaging features though. With kavana you have missed calls, vm, sms, mms, and email all displayable in one line. You also get a message preview even when that line is not highlighted. With rose vm and missed calls have there own display line, as do sms and mms and then a third for email. Also none of these lines show a message preview unless you scroll to that line. I can no longer see all my messaging info without having to scroll down. This is a big step backwards for me and if I cannot change this I'll have to go back to kavana or try something else. I have looked around and cannot find any way to configure it so I can get all my info on one or even two lines. No option for preview either. Is there a way to change this?
Also curious if there is a way to change the text message alert noise to something other then the prepackaged sounds. This is non rose specific. every version of winmo 6 and 6.1 I have used cannot change them to anything other then the default noises even though the sounds are in a wav format. The winmo 5 I had on my dash could to this no problem, even used mp3's. I have even tried replacing default sounds with my own wav file under the same name, bit quality, etc with no luck. Not related to my first question but I figure I'll throw it out there and make my post GIGANTIC. :o

The reason I am trying this is because I have that "keeps searching" problem mentioned on the board here a couple of times. Had the Dash for almost 2 years now and its been good, but the other day it started to freeze. I worked for days to get it working, but then had to do a hard reset. Since then it does not connect, except for Edge (Wifi works as well)...it just keeps searching.
I tried my SIM in my wifes Sony phone and it works. Makes me think something happened in the phone itself? Any thoughts or idea, or any help with where I am stuck above would be appreciated!!! :)

OK, I let that screen just sit there (the 0x0000 one) and ran the other stuff and the screen finally went blank/white. Unfortunately, now the RUU gets an error [260]: Connection and says my smartphone is not connected...sigh?
EDIT: Re-ran the RUU and it found it...updating now, fingers crossed
UPDATE: Argh...finally got it loaded, but still same searching problem. I guess I am off to T-Mobile to try a new SIM Card...

The ROM is great!!!!
only concern is that it doesn't displays my Provider's name on the home screen... only a number... is there any way to fix that?
I Switched back to WM6 HTC official ROM (spanish), and the Operator's name doesn't shows up. It even acts like if I were on a roaming area, when I know I'm on my home network, and not roaming around.

Sorry to bother you guys, I just figured out that both ROMS flased into my device, aren't from my local area... Rose remix is from UK, and the HTC WM6 its from Central and South America.
This is why the device "thinks" its roaming. With the NRG ROM it didn't had any problems, since it's US based.
I will try flashing the Original HTC WM6 WWE update again tonight. This is the one that was working great previously on my Excalubur.
Hopefuly it will do the job.

My apologies if this was already mentioned in the thread, but I couldn't find it by searching. I've been using this ROM for about a month and a half, and it's pretty good, save for two big issues. Perhaps you can help me with them:
No audio comes out in Windows Media Player. Speakerphone and ringing working fine, but I can't get audio from Windows Media Player (and I imagine other applications). And yes, I've made sure the audio isn't muted or at 0%.
Often, I get a "tmail.exe was unable to execute because the phone ran out of memory" message (or something to that effect). Almost immediately after the error message, the phone freezes and I have to take out the battery to reset. Also, any text messages that I had recently received are lost when I restart the phone. I never have more than one or two applications open at a time, and this error often comes when it would seem the phone has ample memory.
Thanks so much.

I downloaded the latest version and i really like the ROM, but my RAM slowly drains until the phone isn't useable. I've flashed to other ROMs like Kavana's and the orriginal Rose and I do not have this problem. I only have the RAM drain when using this ROM
Its been a while since I have used this ROM, but from cases with a lot of ROMS, i can tell you this is definitly a leak. My best guess would be that it has to do with Pocket Internet Explorer, as i have seen it cause this is a lot of other ROMs. I don't currently use the ROM, nor did I make it (though Ricky and Stylez did a great job with it :D), but that is my best bet..my two cents...
Do you use Pocket Internet Explorer? From experience i believe that it doesn't have to actually be open, you just have to have opened it once and that could start a leak...
If you really like the ROM, maybe try using some of the free RAM Free'ing applications out there (use Google and such, I know there are there, I just don't remember where). Maybe that will solve your problem. Best of luck

I have to come to the same as i don't use the ROM anymore "update in phone AT&T Tilt" but never during my use did i have a leak that was substancial enough for it to be an issue, mind you many programs stock WM i never use, also with over 6000 downloads still a small ammount of reports of RAM leak "not stating there isn't just that it's not seen by all" ;)

found something missing i would concider escential.
when viewing the MMS folder or even a MMS message, there is no delete option just move ....
how can i edit in this command? or can this rom be updated with this added and one thing removed?!
id like to suggest removale of the weather apps from the processes, i would suggest they remain as a extra to be installed but in reality.
1. not everyone uses it
2. those that use it dont need it to load up emmediatly
3. if it is used often it can still be added later.
just a idea because the two weather processes are my guess at the long reboot time.
either that or a way i can personally remove them from my phone, heck i live and work on a farm i dont need a phone to tell me its raining when i already know it is lol

People have said what to remove to stop weather in thread and the weather wasn't an addition it's part of the ROM, have no idea about MMS but no one else ever mentioned it so imagine there must be a way to delete them..

If you can "Move" the MMS, just move them to the trash folder...then click "Empty Trash" or whatnot...that should solve that!
Good Luck :D

actualy it was me not grabbing my glasses lol... i over looked it, they provide a delete button without going into the menu.
to bad about the weather thing, wish there was a simple way to uninstall it now that im running it. so far i like this rom but have noticed some random lockups and now and then it auto shuts down have not figured out whats causing it yet, could be a faulty battery. also sometimes while im doing something it flashs back to the main screen pretty fast not sure if it has something to do with the backlight turning off once i figure out what might be causing it, i might ask for help fixing it.
one question anyone else noticed that the power % seems to not read properly? battery in settings bar is always higher then if your use celetask to check it. and even that one i do not trust much.
anyone know how to change MMS settings so it does not always give me a delivery notification? i forget to remove it sometimes and i end up with 5 or more reports cause of sending it to multiple people.....

I have to say many thanks to Ricky and Stylez for putting together this rom. I was having so many problems with the Kavana rom, it just wouldn't play my drm music in windows media player and it would crash the entire phone when I tried. So I also had problems with the t-mobile rom because it wouldn't recognize the 8 GB micro sd card I had just bought. So after much tinkering I downloaded the Rose rom by ricky and stylez and now I can sync up my phone with my napster account and it plays like a charm on the 8 GB micro sd card. Wohoo, I be jamming mon!!

Can someone put \My Documents\UAContents\ in a .zip and upload it to mediafire?
I accidentally deleted it and lost the ability to create MMS.
