Hello guys!!!

Iīve just bought a new palm treo pro and iīm very happy with it, itīs so small, weightless, and smart!!!!

Iīve tried installing TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-recomp-03.cab

and it works, but I remember when I used to have the treo 750, and I watched videos or movies as i used to watched in the computer, I mean, I didnīt change any kind of resolution for the treo 750, and it worked very smooth and with no problem (movies of 700 MB or anykind), and the treo 750 only had 300 MhZ.

Now the clockspeed of the treo pro on TCPMP runs at 385 MhZ and when I tried to watch a normal movie like I used to, it simply doesnīt run smooth at all.

Do you know if itīs a problem of drivers for tcpmp, what do u advise me???

thanks

Try using Coreplayer. It runs much smoother on the Treo Pro.

Jumanjii,
Im not sure what you mean by which version of CorePlayer. If you are purchasing coreplayer for wm6, you will get the most recent version:
Version 1.2.5 build 4506 (20080603). (http://coreplayer.com/content/view/23/1/)

I recently purchased coreplayer for my treo pro. Ill post once i have tested out some xvid/divx videos. Works great so far for playing audio and such; The you tube integration also works very well.

Also i read on Coreplayer's forum that they will refund your money if your not happy or if the player is buggy and you dont want it anymore

I had the same experience with TCPMP. It works but has at least a 5 second lag when opening, closing and going to playlist. The bottom buttons on the UI is also a little screwy but works fine. And forget about trying to enable the equalizer, it just sounds full of static. The Preamp setting works great with it and is the main reason I use it.

I also have CorePlayer, but it's just not the same IMO. I hate it's overly robust playlist. I just kept it cause it plays .flv files flawless and I like it's youtube feature better than Vtap. Plays video flawless whether from SD card or streaming but when I play music it seems to lag every couple of seconds to the point I can't even listen to it. Strange cause bigger video files play perfectly vs a much smaller mp3 that it screws up on.

IMO, Windows Media player is the best player for music and has the best playlist, but it's missing a HUGE FEATURE with is the equalizer and Preamp settings. The sound on WMP is just too low to enjoy, especially if I'm walking around in loud NYC or talking the subway.

I've tried looking for a stand alone equalizer, but the few that I've found don't work with this phone. :(
