Yeah i think it's because your usen a Telus ROM and the fact that the telus rom uses A-GPS mode, so u cant get your towers signal on your Telus rom, but i think what you need to do is u have to install the sprint ROM that has Stand Alone GPS mode enabled Good Ol' Print for the P4000 (Mogul) telus just want's too rob telus costumers for a 10$ charge to have the GPS running in A-GPS mode, but this P4000 can do Stand Alone Only Mode so that you can.. use the Phone as a GPS Device it uses the gpsOne Chipset, u can use google maps and Live search i believe in USA or Canada for you tho, u may have too buy TOMTOM maps 6 with ur country.

This phone though is such an Amazing HTC Phone.. has Everything and it uses a better processor then the HTC TyTN 2! which i'm hearing is a flawed processor a bit, i believe this processor in this P4000 is dual too, but not 400-400, i believe its 400Mhz with another 128 Mhz or something, And the Size of this phone and weight is unreal, the TyTN 1 Pro is a brick compared to this phone and most other Phones like this phone, this phone isnt gonna hurt ur arm for holding for awhile lol and one other thing is the battery in this phone is the best one for HTC moreless its 1500 MaH's compared too 1300 for tytn and 1350 for the tytn 2 and lower for like p3300 etc with GPS like this P4000, By far the best ppc Look's really small in person pictures doesnt give this phone justice, its got a nice dark silver with lighter screen trim.

I'm using the latest radio from http://dcd1182.n715dp.com/index.php?dir=titan%2Fradios%2F and DCD rom 3.2.6, so Sprint or telus rom shouldn't be an issue.

Right?

Still no-go in France with the GPS...
