Ok I should have my new unlocked Kaiser tomorrow, I've worked with a 8125 then my current 8525 and now I'm going to the 8925, I've been able to flash all my previous models without ever having any issues, but I have a question abuot the Kaiser...
Is it this different with this flashing procedure?
Flashing Via ActiveSync
1. Sync phone with computer and run the KaiserCustomRUU.exe from the Roms' Folder.
2. Once phone finishes flashing and gets to the screen where it configures the stylus, HARD RESET (press left and right softkey buttons on the front and hold in reset with stylus until message appears).
3. When prompted, Press "Send Button" (Green Call Button on Front) to Clear Data.
4. When prompted, Press "Send Button" (Green Call Button on Front) to Restart Phone.
5. Follow onscreen instructions to set up your New Rom.
All of my other phones never needed a "hard reset" after I would send a rom to it.
I only want to check and see if this is a required step so I can start to remember to do it ever rom upload :)
I've seen a "hard reset" screen but what info does this replace with manufacturers defaults? Connection stuff or is it more than that?
My other question is about the Radio's they seem to be more sensitive to roms on the 8925 than the 8525, I've had my 1.47.30.10 radio on my 8525 through multiple roms, and only had it replaced when I had to reflash the unit with the factory AT&T WM5 rom. Will all the roms on here either have a radio suggestion? OR one included with it?
I'll be reading up on the radio thread today and that may answer some of my questions on that.
