GSLEON3 Manila G3 ROM (Beta Coordinated ROM)

[GSLEON3]

This is a full ROM with a lot of Available RAM. It is meant for those that want the basics as well as a few goodies, without being loaded down with needless personal items.

Animation exists, but is disabled & you will not find any splash screen bearing my name, Nor will you find any gawdy boot screen that scream "look at me, I was made by GSLEON3!". If you want flashy splash screen or wild animation you can add it & it can have your name or preference. I am not looking for name recognition & have always disliked having a device customized with the cooks name & idea of cool graphics instead of the owners.

Along those lines, most of the ringtones have been removed & this rom contains one basic, yet elegant, WM_waterfall ringtone. Again, ringtones are subjective & also can take up lots of needless space. I have also included only one theme file.

This rom & numerous programs & icons have been done in a Manilla wm7-ish blue. I plan on making it available with other colors as well.

I think i'm gonna give this rom a try. It might be my last kaiser rom flash as i'm getting my fuze on friday hopefully....actually who am i kidding, i'm not gonna get rid of my one with the broken keyboard. I'll be flashing kaiser roms till they stop making them probably. It will be the last one i flash on my everyday kaiser though :)

I just realized I did what I hate most in these "rom threads", and that is posting comments like: great, I am looking forward or downloading, flashing,... I hate it cause its cluttering the thread.

Pay attention people - this will be something special. GSLeon3 has serious forum cred and has debunked many exciting "improvements" that have turned out to be total bs and taken the time to research & educate us on apps/tweaks that have really made a difference, so his will ROM should be all wheat and no chaff.
GS- I respectfully echo the request for build info when convenient.

HTC Based ROM w/ AT&T settings.

I am having to delay one day, but promise a friday release. It's a bit slow going becasue I have been without a device for a week.

I had a traffic accident & my 5th & last Kasier died a violent death so I am using emulator & an emergency beta tester.

Unfortunately I'll be out of a device for a while b'c the A-hole had no insurance & I didn't have enough uninsured motorist, so I'm out about 5k.

At one point I had 3 TYTNII's & 3 Tilts, but I had gone thru four of them sacrificing them to learn how to help fix them, i.e. killing various parts of the OEMSBL, SPL, etc... Hence, FrankenKaiser was born. But now I am deviceless.

Anyway I will post a link tonight or tomorrow noon at the latest. :D

I am releasing this as a base. What I would like to see is everyone participating in the creation of Icons, new ideas, theme suggestions, etc...

I want to, time allowing, create customized roms for everyone. Making different colors, styles & backgrounds available along with guidesd & tools to make adding & changing thems & base colors easy. I want everyone to have there own personalized rom, with their name on it & their idea of cool backgrounds, colors, icons, programs, etc. in it.

I will help to build them, off of this base initially, then branch out to more traditional non-M2D roms.

I want this to become a rom of the people, made for easy upgrades & customization.

A lot of it is based on just that color. Remeber these screen shots aren't perfectly accurate.

An accident is a terrible thing to happen to anyone. My wifey and son were involved in a car accident last Monday and it pretty much upturned my whole week - I couldn't go to work as I had to look after them when they were discharged from hospital and so I had to cancel even all my private appointments! So it's not ridiculous my friend, it's a terrible thing to happen to anyone...and I can understand and sympathise with GSLEON3 for what he's been through and just wish him a speedy return of balance and normality back in his life.

Some personal imput, i cant help with themes or anything cuz i have no idea how to make that kinda stuff, would love to learn but have no clue... Anywhoo... I have always been fond of Dark Grey/Black themes personally.. I love the rom i currently have, blanking on the name but w/e.. its dark grey, and the only problem i have with it is 1. no landscape support at all.... 2. bogs down pretty bad because the x's at the top dont actually close programs, just... minimize them..

so theres my imput if it helps :)

1. no rom has support for manilla in landscape ... although mbarvian and another member (sorry whos name i can't recall at the moment) have a "sort" of a fix available in the development and hacking forum under the General category.
2. you need to go into settings and change the behaviour of the x button from minimizing programs to closing programs.

you can learn about changing themese/creating themes by going to the development and hacking forum and search for manilla2d themes / customizer etc. There are quite a few threads on this topic over there.

nah don't panic. We still have some of the most elite rom builders here on our kaiser forum :D As far as gsleon's rom goes he had an accident in which he lost his last and only kaiser left which has stalled the work on this rom.

Hold tight and he should have it available when he is ready to release it.
