I tried to search but couldnt find anything in regards to this... maybe wrong forum...but my question is that since the Fuze has a fast processor and memory, is the Fuze better and more stable than the Tilt?
As anyone compared these two and how do you like it versus the Tilt?

Bingo, sold my Fuze. I love my Tilt, and with MD2 it's almost the same, and I found the Tilt more responsive. This is just me. I'm not downing the Fuze, I'm just more comfortable with My Baby da Tilt.

I think it'll come down to a matter of preference. I got my Fuze about 5 days ago. After using it for 2 days I thought about returning it but kept it for the weekend. I got use to it. I really like the VGA screen and it's very responsive. Of course, my Tilt is also responsive and it did everything I needed. I'm going to keep the Fuze.

My recommendation: Get the Fuze, try it for the 30 day period, if you don't like it, return it. Simple. :)

I've been using the tilt for a year and it works really great and I really like the phone, especially with all the different ROM you can flash to. I just got the fuze for a few days and it looks more elegant than the tilt. Love the vga screen, so much clearer. the touchflo3d is pretty cool, better than the touchflo2d I currently have on my tilt. One thing I really like about the tilt over the fuze are the hardware buttons. The tilt has alot more, especially the START and OK button.

I got the fuze only because I got a good deal for it, if not, I would keep my tilt.

You're right. The lack of hardware buttons on the Fuze is a real issue.

If you're used to programming keys, you'll hate the Fuze. The physical keyboard is also a lot smaller than the Tilt.

I think I'm returning my Fuze.

I had a Fuze for 2 days, then I canceled it and returned it.

I love the tilt way more. The Fuze is cool, because it's something new. I like the diamond back on it, but honestly the Tilt feels better. The touch screen on the Fuze is somewhat.. unresponsive at times.

The tilt, well it tilts. And believe it or not it is a really cool feature.

Yes. Winner of thread. I hate how some people consider the Fuze an upgraded version of the Tilt when it scrapped one of the most uniquely fresh and useful feature of the phone.

I had the 8525 before the Tilt and I can't imagine going back to a Tilt-like phone without the tilting action.

I'm using the Tilt for a longtime and satisfied....but

So, if I try out the Fuze, what software issues will I run into with the most popular programs that I use
1. Pocket Informant
2. Spb Mobile Shell
3. what about Wisbar and PocketBreeze
I imagine utilities like backups, memmaid, and Resco products will work?
How about dictionaries, etc
Thanks!

I don't know too much about the technical details, but my experience is this:

Fuze pros:
- Faster
- VGA screen
- Back light that can be used as a flashlight.
- Touch screen FINALLY really reacts when you press on it with your finger.
On the Tilt you had to press really hard and sometimes it didn't work.
- Smaller
- Flat design so you can press easily on the borders.

Fuze cons:
- D-pad is crap. Useless
- Missing hw buttons.
- GPS lag and random disconnects (however I think this can be fixed with custom ROMs)
- Battery doesn't last long (same as before)

Overall I'm happy with my Fuze and I wouldn't get back to the Tilt!!

Hey Guys,
1 quick question. I love my tilt had it for a while and was thinking of getting the fuze but I am looking for a phone with these 2 main features the g-sensor and FM radio. are these availible on the fuze?

the fuze does come with g-sensor and fm radio, but radio needs the headset to be plug in as the antenna.

On quick one on the FM Radio. The hardware is there but no way to run it. You either have to use a cooked ROM or use the FM Radio cab.

Sorry to drudge up a 3-day old thread, but it was relevant to my question.

I've had an 8525 for a little for a year now, and it's starting to poop out on me. Occasionally the hardware buttons stop working, and while in use the screen with start to completely white out and takes a few minutes for it to come back (though it appears to work perfectly fine despite no usable screen, the touchscreen works).

Instead of attempting to fix it, I am considering upgrading. I have the option to get the Tilt for about 100 bucks, or the Fuze for about 370. I have drooled over the look of the Fuze ever since I read about the touch pro on the web this summer, but the tilt seems like a good phone as well (despite poor reviews). And lots of people seem to love their tilts.

Is the Fuze worth the extra money? I don't really like the Touchflo interface (i tried it on my 8525 for about a week and went back to my standard HTC Home screen). And the tilt seems like an upgrade from the 8525 in all accounts (i rarely watch videos and I don't take pictures with it that need a flash).

Thanks in advance,
-Zeke

Personally I think the tilt for $100 is a much better value. The Fuze does have a few upgrades over the tilt (VGA, FM Radio, little faster Processor, mor RAM & ROM Tilt sensor), but not enough to make me spend that much cash on it. The tilt can do just about anything the Fuze can for considerably less.

I REALLY wanted the Fuze when it first came out. But after playing with it in the store I realized I was perfectly happy with my Tilt and might just be better off saving my money and waiting for the next generation of HTC device's to come out next year. If the VGA screen and FM radio (but having to have the wired headset for it to work means I won't use it much) are a must have look hard at the Fuze, if not the Tilt will save you big bucks. If Money is no object, sure get the Fuze... Heck, get both. But Tilt and do all the same stuff.

Now having said that In Feb when my contract is up, I might give in and spring for a Fuze, aslong as closer to the $200 to $250 range. I can't help it I'm a gadget guy. Honestly I shouldn't though. Cash is tight and I'm better served waiting for a phone that will be a bigger leap forward.

wow.... i see there's alot of Fuze hating going on.... and alot of you guys are returning them too.... well, i picked up my Fuze about 2 weeks ago... kept it stock for about half a day before flashing NATF's ROM.... and so far i'm loving it... i guess alot of you are forgetting the crappy video drivers on the Tilt (by the way i also love my Tilt!!!.. despite the horrible video drivers)... the VGA on the Fuze is absolutely beautiful... even the poorest quality videos on Youtube Play look High-Res, Movies look stunning, and Camera is extremely nice... especially love the People, Photos, and Weather tabs alot more on TouchFlo 3D compared to 2D...

yes,...the overall speed needs improvement,... but that will change as better ROMs start coming out... and Skyfire needs to hurry up and make a release with High-Res.... but it give it time.... personally i don't think that 30 days is enough to play with the Fuze... it's still a relatively brand new phone.... eventually we'll start seeing some amazing applications and even better ROMs.... this phone has the pontential to be really great... it's every thing the Tilt is.... and sssoooo much more ;)

Ok. So like most others in this thread I am debating between the ATT Tilt and Fuze. I believe the Tilt still has some power yet to be unlocked. HOWEVER! The camera is crappy compared to the 8525 that I had before. what were they thinking? How is the camera on the Fuze compared? I have a new baby girl and pictures are important to me now. Not to mention that fact that the Fuze has more speed (On paper at least) and twice the memory. I am just asking because I may be given the option to get a fuze with no money out of pocket. I too however have learned to love my tilt. It was an amazing phone if only it had all the proper drivers.

I was debating for a long time and finally went to the Fuze. I LOVE IT! Just the form factor for me as good enough for the change. The Camera is so much better.
As for the speed or memory, didnt see much improvement.
But it is definately the best phone Ive ever had!

have you guys tried to search att fuze...there is a website
http://wsf4.letstalk.com/cell-phones/shop.htm?serviceCorpId=596

and i saw this today so i went for it...but it is $150 for the phone and a $149.99 rebate( which you have to wait on your 4th month statement to send the rebate, and you have to chose the $59 individual pland with the $30 pda plan for 6 months to get it.) if you dont care cancel it and no rebate. but i think the offer is over today and no rebate. also amazon.com has the fuze for $175 with a 25 dollar rebate different, but similar terms.

well there it is ...pay $350 with 50 mail in dirrect from att or this. you be the judge.

Yeah, this is my first post here here is a list of my current/previous devices. Right now I hold a iPhone 3G and ATT Fuze... Previous Phones Include= Tilt, Wing, 8925, 1st Gen iPhone, Curve, Razr2, Sidekick 2/3/Lx/and Slide(LOL really), Sprint Blade aka Samsung Blade, ton of other devices that didn't stand out.... Basically i've always had a talent of being the latest and having the hottest phoens.

Ahem,

The Fuze compared to the Tilt is like a older brother compared to younger. Check here to see a review+Video taken from the Fuze. I also did a video and am AMAZED at the quality of video and Camera. This is the first phone that I can honestly say is a better "all in one" device than the iPhone....... I just got rid of my Tilt on Friday sold it and went straight to the ATT store the same day to purchase the Fuze for a full retail price of 568$ only because all my research proved a solid and superior HTC device as never before seen on an American provider.

When the phone boot's up you will be AMAZED I mean AMAZED at the VGA screen that alone I could never go back to the Tilt. Even with the ATT bloatware the phone is noticeably faster I say about 2.5x to 3x the speed and power of the tilt. I find it ridiculous som eof the comments that the phone is not faster? That is impossible im not stupid and spec's show the phone is far superior. Bottom line the phone is much quickier, snappier, and the transition between modes on the screen for me atleast (I havent even taken off bloatware) Is almost instant. Go check out the phone for yourself and don't let your love for the Tilt cloud your judgement on a device that I say cannot be missed. Once modding becomes a norm this phone will have no competition from our old step-child the Tilt.

The Keyboard? I have read a few hate posts.. Ha complain because the numbers arent on the top? It's just as normal phones are 123-456-789- then 0 in middle. Very easy to use. I can go on and on about this fantastic keyboard bottom line is obviously your first days or week you will need some adjusting to but nothing that would or should lower a rating on the phones review.

The Camera... O-M-G im amazed. This Camera blows any phone out the water I have ever had.

Video Recorder... GREAT

I just wanted to write a brief review of how much of a good device this phone is. I have had a ton of devices non have I been overall pleased as such not even with my iPhone or my cousin's Blackberry Bold with all that hype.
I give this phone a 95%

I would give it a 100% but..... There could be improvement and we will see in the next model :D

Yes Kaiser do have a bad video driver but since the screen is also small enought so it will give you a good quality on youtube anyways. I currently have a Kaiser (which I had spend 800 when it first came out) and I love the fuze when I first saw it. But after I played with my friend's fuze for a bit, I decided not to have it. Yes I must admit that the outlook/form factor looks a bit better, but the fucntion and responsiveness didn't seems to change much. If I were you I will wait for the branded xperia comes out or even wait for the next gen HTC device, because the FUZE for me is just a small leap from the previous KAISER.

Once last note, if you are currently having a tmo contract, you can switch to ATT and get the FUZE for only 174.

Apparently in your searching you neglected to read the Announcement.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=419

You got your opinions on the Tilt vs Fuze.

These type of threads are subjective, as you can see some people moved to the Fuze and are glad they did. Some people still like their Tilt. Its best for you to figure it out for yourself.

Also, you posted this is in wrong Forum section, this has nothing to do with Software.
