Strange pocket dialing issue

My Elfin behaves weird. When the headset is plugged my phone redials the last dialed number from time to time. Usually about three to five times an hour!

Sometimes I hear a few error-beeps when it happens. It doesn't matter if the screen is locked or off.

I assume it has something to do with the voicedial function although i never used or configured it. I did a hardreset but the problem is still there.

I use the original firmware (Vodafone branding, German).


Does anybody know how to uninstall this voicedialing thing or has another idea about the cause of the problem. :confused:

Pushing the headset button twice calls the last called number. maybe yours is malfunctioning?

Ahh! I think you’re right. My headset button seems to be damaged. When I press it nothing happens. Seems to be a defective contact or something.

I searched for "headset button" and found some threads about remapping it. Most of them say you have to remove a key in the registry first.

So I deleted the "Path" value in HKLM\Software\OEM\VoiceCommand.
I had no unwanted dialing so far. Hope the prob is solved.

I finally bought an adapter and new earphones. works fine so far.
