View Full Version : Another QuickGPS problem..

I'm running a tilt that as of yesterday I'm not able to update QuickGPS, it says "expired".

I'm getting the "connection failed" message, it seems to be related to the "expiration" notice of QuickGPS since it worked fine for nearly a year and a half so has there been a definitive fix for this? I've read through the prior postings and tried a couple of the fixes with no luck...

Can I just change the entry in the registry that effects the time/expired notification?

Any other thoughts?

Thanks.

Yes, that was the fix I tried... I assume it just resets the registry settings.

No luck by the way with that one...

TW,

Have you tried the one in Kaiser Tweaks ?

Not familiar with that one? do you have a link to the discussion?

Since I am currently connected via the usb port it appears to still be trying to connect via 3G, why doesn't it know to use the internet connection? Is there a place to set default connections?

Well after jacking with this thing on and off through out the day I finally got it to work.

I connected to the internet via wifi and tried to update QuickGPS same problem, no connection. So, I opened the internet with IE and got a web page, then tried updating QuickGPS, it worked! After that I closed IE and tried updating QuickGPS again and it worked...

So, I tried doing the same with a connection via USB and now I notice that I can't surf the web...? it says "connecting" or "locating"... where is this information stored so I can make the changes necessary?

Thanks,
