I bought a Qwest Mogul on Ebay this spring. Well the question is, who will take Qwest phones since they don't have a wireless service anymore?

HELP!?!?!

The only thing I can think of is sending it off to Verizon and having them "put their software on it." So much for their "open" network. Is there any way to get this working on a network other than this? I need to sell this. I owe bill me later about $600 so I need to get some cash. I have a XV6800 so I have no need for this phone.

You might be able to flash it over to Verizon network

Right, but flashing a Verizon rom on it wont put the ESN in their database. The fact that the ESN isn't on other networks is the problem. Since Qwest doesn't do wireless anymore and they are reselling Verizon what are people doing who had Qwest service before?

call their customer service to add the ESN

Tried it. I was on the phone with someone from Verizon for 41 minutes. The guy was such a douche that he called Sprint and had them run the ESN and they said it was from a different provider. Why he did this, I will never know. I think he just probably enjoyed pissing me off. Verizon is the root of everything that is evil. I just want to sell this phone, but no one wants to buy a phone that no one will activate. As far as I know the ESN is good, but Qwest doesn't exist anymore.

Sorry about this People, I work for Qwest and had one for a year, then had to do the migration, a fellow worker gave me hers saying that it was a usless as a paper weight, so now I have three... LOL..
the two qwest phones are now skype PDA's, I know thats not much now.. but it's better than nothing, and considering that the Verizon phone doesnt work with Skype (WM 6.1) but the Qwest phones will (WM 6.0) means that when I go abroad, it's better for me to take the Qwest Moguls.. Funny really :)

i have a Qwest Mogul working on Cricket. they don't seem to care what ESN your service is tied to, and are happy to activate it on their network

sadly, they have a limited market area
