The diference is the dialer... one that has a button to enable video call and a new window that shows the video images with brigthness zoom and other options....

and the other one dont has this window and the button I think is for video call makes the call button function too. :cool:

Where did you get 19 MB from? :) No its ~25 MB on first start up immediately after install, which incidentally is still a bit low to me as I remember when Clean ROMS used to have around 30 MB free on first start up.

Where has the other 5MB gone? The thing I need most from my Hermes nowadays is as much free RAM as possible. The CPU speed is fine, the ROM is OK as I can install most stuff on the SDCard, but there's no way to effect the RAM and with increasing memory hungry apps (IG0 8 can use 20+MB alone). I need as much free RAM as possible.

In the limited time i've been cooking i've noticed that in mixing older drivers in with the oem's it usually produces more ram.. But when mixing newer drivers and additional support for video and items even in a clean rom it eats a little more ram, in my testing though it seemed worth it for the extra speed.. I'm still tweakin and lookin for ways to get more ram though:) Good disscussion man!! Peace, Josh

Ah that's why it seriously screwed up when I tried to pair my A2DP Motorola S9's! Only ROM to ever do this. Phone froze and had to do a soft reset. I tried again and this time it paired and worked but there was no stereo headset icon in the top task bar like normal (Abuzalsa had done a blue icon for this). Worst of all I could no longer add any other bluetooth devices as that option was now missing. :)

It's a shame really as this really is a very quick ROM. One way I test this is to go to Settings>Sound&Notifications>Notifications and see how quick that opens up... this is the quickest ROM to ever do that and I have tried more than I care to count. :)

Hey that's OK take your time, you do much appreciated work for other people, hope good karma comes your way. Oh and it's a good idea to leave out WKTask to keep with the clean traditions.

This may be nothing but the WIFI screwed up a little after I connected. It was showing up in connection manager but greyed out so couldn't do anything with it. It was fine after a soft reset but mentioned it just in case it may happen to anybody else.

I am going to try your Manilla2D ROM next, we'll see how I cope with only 19MB on start up. :)

I found the same issue with bluetooth in this one as in version 11

I paired my bt headset (just a plain nokia bh-200, no a2dp, not stereo, just an over the ear piece), and it paired fine. Then I place a call, sound comes through the headset just fine, but I notice that the bt icon on the bar turned into one with headphones.

Then when I hang up and try to make another call, there is no sound from the headset or the phone. If I turn the headset off and back on, sound will come from it again (for 1 more call, then it has to be turned off and on again).

Even after turning the headset off, the bt icon still says a stereo headset is connected. I don't have any stereo a2dp anything, heh.

Any luck with a2dp in this yet? I use 3 diff headsets. a2dp is a must. Though works fine on the holloween rom, ill just flash & c.

Update. uhmmm, yes Bluetooth = broken
Ill test out CRC's rom, till this is fix'd. GREAT ROM OTHER THEN BLUETOOTH snafu.

should be a option to change in settings, phone, to uncheck to automatic adjust phone time settings. if you are having a timezone issue, Try installing the timezone update patch in device update from crcinau..

Also i am recooking this build in an attempt to fix the unstableness of bluetooth in 20931 builds. sorry i've been offline, my wife and I got a little mini vacation this weekend and her mother has graciously offered to watch our three kids so we just packed up and ran as fast as we could :)!

So is this a real 931 sys or is the sys hexed? I am using 931 sys on my titan and it has aku 1.5 with the newer IE. Not that the newer IE is any better. Just wondering. BTW your rom is smokin' fast.

I just flashed this yesterday and so far i am loving it! It's quick and light and has everything i need and nothing i don't.

I've never used this exact dialer before...i do like it. the one thing i don't think i love yet but still getting used to is the "slide down" feature at the start of a call to get any of my "in call" options (i go to speaker a lot, especially just when ringing when i make a call)....i wish there was a way to not have to slide down for those features to show up...anyone know if there's any way to set the dialer to always have the features there, and not have to slide that tab down?

sorry for the confusion 12.2 is the same as V12 beta 2
and obex is used to send and receive files via bluetooth. it's built in, not a seperate app.

im on skyfire browser... and is amazing! wow skyfire + saphire + crc flash lite allows it to play movies as streaming at least 30 minutes its great isn't it? it must be downloaded by everybody it istills on beta... I download the b2 for this saphire with this all the rar to the storage! nooooo problems huh!

V12.2 - Custel's Cingular Video cab does not function.

This apparently is a bug in all of JoshKoss's ROMS as I've previously reported twice on his Manila and Halloween ROMS. The program installs but will not execute through programs or window directory.

Quite a shame since most non-manila ROMS i've tested can't get youtube app functioning (yet CV works) PhamQuang's and Starbase64 manila ROMs are the only two that have both functioning but they aren't as lite.

The only workaround (as previously posted) is to direct PIE to MEdianet.

Any thoughts on what could be the culprit?

Yes without problems. But i just faced a new problem. After a soft reset i just did, the device does not pass the "htc" screen anymore. I got the same problem just after flashing the device this afternoon with your new v12.2 version. At that time, i reflashed the device with the "att" stripped rom, thinking that this was caused by the "big storage" effect. It was the first i got this problem with a rom. I suppose i will have to reflash it now again :(

edit: Before reflashing, i made a HR. it works... This is strange as i did soft resets during the day without having this problem. And i did not add anything...

Well I had this whole funny comedy several paragraph post all typed up, then went to backspace on a word, and somehow manged to go back a full page and lost the entire things. So here is the short version.


Hello Mr Chef, I think this roms needs a few more items from the spice rack. Maybe a little salt to tone down how sweet this rom is. Maybe a little coffee base. So here is my story.



I installed my bluetooth headset, and it worked perfect all day. Then I went to install my GPS, first time though I got an error that said bluetooth hardware error, so I tried again, and it finally found it. Then I tried to connect to a 3rd device and the "add new device" was gone, just got a blank screen as well I could not even see my old devices. They still worked, but I could not see them in the add new section.

The other thing that went missing was the sweet love I had for the thingy in the top right corner. Had the drop down menu for functions and reboot. I really miss it, I don't know why it left, I was nice to it, gave it lots of attention and took good care of it. I did everything for it, except give it flowers. I know if you love something you are suppose to let it go and if it comes back its yours. However you know what you have to do if it doesn't come back. Ya hunt it down and shoot it, and I really don't want to shoot my phone. Its a nice phone and I really like it.

You must change 2 settings
1) Start -> Settings -> System -> Backlight - External Power [Turn off backlight if device is not used for - minutes (Change this time to longer, sample 10 minutes)]
2) Start -> Settings -> System -> Power - Advanced / On External Power [Turn off Device if not used for - minutes (Change this time to longer, sample 30 minutes)]

Try going to Start > Settings > Connections > USB to PC > and uncheck the box that says 'Enable advanced network functionality' This fixed my AS issues with this rom.

Update on other bluetooth testing:
in my latest attempt to furthur fix bluetooth i tried files from phamquang kitchen, and it totally flaked out on me.. so the bluetooth testing still is ongoing :)

I found some bug :(. Every time you open some application and close it, even after it's closed there is still an icon on the task bar. After opening and closing 5-6 programs, there is almost no room left on the task bar and you can;t see if there is any email or other notification on there. do you have the original WM6 3.62 from cingular that is on wiki highlight on black!!! download it....

(I think you already did this steps but men... i have this issue once and making this the issue disappears maybe works for you...)

Remember unplug your your MicroSD
1.- get your batt fully charged...
2.- downgrade to that original WM6.... let it customize fully plugede to the pc
3.- hard reset... let it fully customize again plugged to the pc...
4.- upgrade to this ROM saphire beta 2, let it customize again fully pluged to the pc nad make a hard reset and let it customize fully again.....!!!!!!!!! conected to the PC then enjoy...

This hard resets after the flash process makes the deal...
and still it plugged to PC everebody says that it fixes the Activesync issues.

i've just found this excellent forum after having picked up an spv m3100 yesterday :)

The phone is great apart from it doesn't work with my nokia 616 car kit.

in 'standard' orange rom (october 2007 version) there is rSAP (sim access profile support) but the contacts do not download.

I've tried your v12.2 3g with office rom and that doesn't appear to have rSAP in it.

essentially, i'm perfectly happy with the standard o/s and interfaces - allthough your one is especially sexy :), all i realy need is for the phone to work with (and download contacts to) my car kit.

Is there any advice/assist you could offer please?

Thx for your response, I had run the Connection Wizard twice. Still the problem exist. However, when I tried in the office today it seemed OK. Well, right now I only assume that there is something problem with the provider last night. Let me test again tonight, let's see if everything is ok.

The saturday i tried to beam a file via BT on IRDA option direct from the file explorer but men... even tough it dont has IRDA and the FTP tab in settings dont exist, wich one cab works for ftp BT folder? i told him men the IRDA isnt works and he said ok so via FTP BT Folder and.... sorry... no BT FTP tab jajajaja :D nothing fixed on B2 or maybe just the A2DP....

No, I haven't installed an OEM ROM before flashing this one, I went from CRCs 13.0 Stable (which runs great BTW, no issues whatsoever) to this one.

The real big storage roms write to places on the flash memory that htc didn't originally intend, so flashing the oem rom "freshens" the flash memory and will sort of "prepare" it to be flashed with a real big storage rom.

For some reason, things must not be getting overwritten properly, or are overlapping somehow going from RBS to RBS (at least that's the way my little brain understands it).

It seems more to be that it just needs flashed. Once flash is written, it "should" be there. I have, on a couple occasions, went straight to the boot screen after flashing, and not waited for the "tap screen" to come up, and it was ok, but I don't think I would recommend doing it that way. I was flashing once or twice a day, testing things.

That is one of the bugs (really the only bug I could find). Don't worry, it should be fixed in Josh's next release. I was able to get the bluetooth working fine by changing some files in the kitchen, but when I did it, it changed the build to 20931/20755, so hopefully Josh will be able to straighten out what I did (I'm a noob at cooking). I may do a release of my rom (based on saphire) in the meantime though. :D

It is GREAT !! Truly fast and stable. I installed over 50 applications, some of them are really heavy duty, including 6 navigation software.

Try this:

HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone add a new DWORD value named "ShowSim" and set it to 0 ;)

i really like this rom, because of it's fast response and beautiful icons.
Though i didn't like the appearance first, now everything is fine.

Made some visual tuning of all splash screens and used another theme...

Installed old fashioned HTC task manager, because i don't need this full blown stuff managers.

One thing to mention is the very fast wifi login on my network.
That's awesome :D
How was it tuned up?
Is there a new stack or something?

Everything i installed worked pretty good.
Also skype did!

Very nice ROM, congrats ;)

Your new christmas beta has 20924 and "my" ROM has 20931.
Which version is newer concerning the base and the drivers?

Finally after working on my kitchen 7 hours last night, and 5 hours the night before and have finally produced a stable test release, please flash and feedback it's in my testing link in my signature.

technically 20931 is newer, but both builds i'm using same core drivers. so whatever is easier for you.

Thanks dude, it's a mix of drivers from abusalza's builds and CRC's. It's a Hybrid I suppose :) Some tweaks i personally have discovered and a few from abusalza's wonderful work, icons are his i must confess :)

so far, i would use the one on post 1, so far bugs in my test are album video not working, and windows dir not speedy. but i can fix those. if you can deal with that till next release, do the test build, it's a little newer, but otherwise post 1 for stability, oh and my test has bluetooth fixed 100%
as for how far, dunno man, my wife will be out tonight, but seriously i'm tired from the 7 hours i put into it last night :) we'll see how i feel after these kids are in bed.

Please help me to resolve my problem i dont know if my unit is bricked already.

1) download the AT&T stripped rom from my 4shared

2) Flash the rom using this method (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_SDCardFlashing).

Edit: This is assuming you are hardSPL'ed, which you must be in order to have flashed this rom.

Thanks so much.. i tried reading the unbricked thread and followed the procedure and now its 100% working. This forum really helps a lot thanks to all developers who put time in making latest ROM fully working.
