Buying From Vodafone - Hows the lag now?

Hi guys, im thinking about getting a diamond or pro from Vodafone but was wondering how the stock ROM is, would it come with the latest version or will it need updating. Also how easy is it to get rid of all the horrible vodafone branding without bricking it, im not loaded with dosh so can't really afford to take any leaps of faith if you know what i mean.

Even if you didn't get the latest ROM on the handset it only takes a few minutes to do the official update from here (http://devicehelp.vodafone.co.uk/diamondupgrade.php) so that's not an issue, and the only Vodafone branding to speak of is a red and white TF3D theme that can be swapped out for the default black one (or anything else you fancy) using the TF3D Config app available for download from this forum. And neither of those changes invalidate your warranty so you're not in any danger there.

Thanks Medulla that's quite re-assuring to know. With the Pro and Diamond being similar could i use the same ROM for the Touch Pro and Diamond or are they two completey different things?
