Hi All,
There has recently been a "session" of vandalism on the wiki, here is a short guide on what you can do to help:

1. Tell someone who cares
a.Mention on my talk page (http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=User_talk:DaveShaw) on the wiki, or contact a wiki admin (http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=XDA-Developers:Administrators) (I'm the only one whose really active at the moment.)
b.Reply to this thread and post the details (I am subscribed to it) but if I'm unavailable then you can click the Report Post button (http://media.xda-developers.com/images/icons/report-postheading.png) to notify all forum moderators / administrators immediately to the problem.

2. It's a wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki), you can help out too

By clicking on Recent Changes (http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Special:RecentChanges) in the wiki you can see all the changes that have occured over the past few days.
Click on Diff next to the Edit that caused the vandalism.
Ensure the changes you want to revert are shown in the diff and that no valid information will be lost.
If so, click on Undo (found above the right hand pane of the "diff" view).
Again, confirm the Undo will not remove anything bad.
Click save page.
If a page needs deleting, put a Delete Tag (http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=XDA:DEL) on it.

Any problems please feel free to ask me, here, via PM or on the wiki (http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=User_talk:DaveShaw).

Thanks
Dave

Thanks Dave. I've encountered such "vandalism" on this page:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Developing%20a%20graphics%20dri ver%20for%20Windows%20Mobile

As you can see from the history, a user called "ramair" completely erased the contents of the page, on November 3rd, 2009.
I've restored the page to it's original glory. :)

Thanks for the tip.

I cannot see any malicious intent in the user doing this, so I think it's best to let it slide. Accidents can happen, I know someone binned the HomePage the other day by mistake :D.

Perhaps the option of everybody can edit should be controlled, just as to post in marketplace member will need certain number of posts or time being an active member to edit Wiki

Wiki's are meant for everyone, anyone can help, even if it's just changing a spelling or fixing a link. And just as anyone can break then, anyone can fix them.

Wasn't sure whether or not to just delete the page (I have no idea who, or what, Monban is) so I thought I would post it here. Linky (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Monban)
