So my 6800 has issues getting signal now, and my phone is loaded with apps and games, which I dont wanna lose.. I figure if I need to I will run spb backup, but still.. I do have the mr1 upgrade, will they bitch at me about that? I dont have the gps fix though. So if I do get a new phone, and did run spb backup, do I need to install mr1 and then run the backup or what? Any advice before I bring it to the store? My sister has the same phone and I put the mr1 on hers too, and side by side, hers has full signal and mine is struggling for 1 bar.. calls get lost a lot and texts always ask to be resent..

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to give!

I recommend you backup your installers for your games/apps

And regardless of whether or not you have those, I recommend making a backup with SPB Backup or another program.

At the very least use SPB Backup or PIMBackup to backup your contacts, as I'm sure you're aware of with already upgrading the device.

I personally would flash on the stock ROM after backing up to see if it made any difference in signal, and maybe even flash to the 3.42.50 Alltel radio and see if that changes anything. If not, try to make sure everything is stock or MR1 on the device when you do take it back.

Always flash to stock rom before taking your phone in. Especially if you are doing things that your carrier wouldn't approve of like 90% of the people in this forum.

But the mr1 upgrade IS stock if you are Verizon, right?

you can download the mr1 update from the verizon wireless website, so they must be supporting it.
