I use TxCaesar's wm6.1 Beta 2 and it's very stable, the are a few minor bugs so read up on those first, but not one bug has effected my usage.

I think you need to register to download, but it's worth it...

Use the new Bogart roms by ejoya, also on the txcaesar site listed above. They are based off of the htc s740 rom, and run much faster.

I'm happier with the bogart roms than with Da_G's roms. I ran Da_G 6.1beta2 for a long time, and just recently switched to ejoya's bogart roms. He has 4 different available and so far rev2 is the one I like. Video does work but you can check at txcaesar's for the lowdown on all the bugs(very few in my opinion). There's a couple of threads dealing with them.

Starca has a few roms out that are newer, the latest one is BJC ROM 4.3mr1 i think there faster than ejoya's. and if you combine it with Showaco's app's they get better. :D such as the WPC, feather weather, file changer, just to name a few. :D :p

let me clear this up, Starca has a few rom's for the I607... Nokser is working on a wm6.1 for the I600, as i'm sure you already know this by now.

Is this 6.1 rom a simple update? is it a light version?

She needs the most basic usage of the phone but I thought some benefits of 6.1 could be helpfull... is it ok for this phone or is it too much and better to leave 5?

py8's 6.5 rom is more of less bare bones. but being that it's 6.5, it will need to use more ram than 6.1. but the 6.1 i'm hosting isn't a light version it does have some 3rd party apps on it. but both do not have the att blot, the cookers took all that out. both starca's and py8's roms have around 25M free.

I have been using the Bogart edition (WM6.1_BE rev4 final.nb0.bin). How does starca's rom compare to the Bogart edition? I haven't had any problems with the Bogart rom and it has nice extras. I was expecting it to be buggy because of it's unofficial status but that hasn't been the case.

starca's rom is based off of bogart roms. the only difference's you should notice other than the app's that come on their, is speed. don't quote me on this, but if i remember starca had a friend that rebuilt the xip so that it would run quicker.

In that case, I need to upgrade to the souped-up latest and greatest xip. I'm not sure what a xip is, but I want the best one.

"Carousel/Card wheel" is a cool interface. But I found a few limitations with this ROM.


I am unable to connect to Microsoft My Phone application to sync my contacts,calendar,photos,text messages. I guess this is a limitation with WM6.0

Unlike in WM6.1 and above, I don't see a feature to connect to email accounts (like gmail,yahoo).


Could you please let me know if there are any WM6.1 ROMs out there for Samsung Blackjack I (i607) with the Carousel/card wheel interface? If yes, kindly forward me the download links.

Edit: Figured it out by myself.
1. Microsoft Myphone service was down all night yesterday.
2. I was able to configure a GMAIL account by clicking on Start--> Messaging --> New E-Mail Account

i will be updating starca's rom (BJC Base Rev4.3mr1) to 6.5 in the next week or so, so everyone will have an alternative 6.5 rom. that way everyone isn't limited to just my 6.5 rom or py8's.

all i'll do is update the build to 6.5 23090 (thanks tj_style), if you want anything else on it other than what's already there by starca. you'll have to do it yourselves.
