okay, i have just some time now to make another ROM for all of you. This is another ROM for HTC Prophet, based on Lamson ROM(OS 5.2.19974) from PDAVIET.

This ROM is using new Upgrade Methode.. Make sure you have HARDSPL (Important !!!) your device.

Recommended Radio ROM 2.19

HARDRESET is as always recommended after flashing.


Free Storage around 46MB. Free Memory 23 MB.If you deactivate Touch Flo, you will get around 28 MB Free Ram Memory

Tested on G4 Device. G3 Device seems to have more free storage.

So, if you like TouchFlo interface. This ROM maybe suitable for you. But Free Memory program is not much as Diamond Edition 2.

So. Just decide, which one is suitable for you.

if your WIFI is WPA2. It wont works. This ROM doesnt support WPA2 Feature.

althou the build number seems old, this is a new build. Newly ported to prophet by Lamson from pdaviet ;)

It may be that I have not clearly expressed my meaning. My mobile phone can display Chinese after installing the Chinese font. However, there is not selecting of China in " regional settings ".i want the same as my use habit.

I am not use this feature. So no idea, wheather it works or not.

But the module are all theres. Should to be work.

The ROM is quite good and stable!
The only thing i worry about is that after a hardreset i can`t get my prophet synchronize my calendar! The sync-bar stops after some time and nothing happens. In my ppc-calendar i see that everything is synchronized but the process doesn`t stop! I repluged my cable and got it done! And after the first time i haven`t any problems with this!
I`ve tryed to synchronized it at first time after hardreset several times. I did several hardresets, reboot my PC several times but always i have the same thing... Of course it`s no problem because now everything is ok but i think that it`s not good that i plugged off the cable while the ppc is being synchronized...
What do u think about it?!

I can also confrim that Internet Sharing doesn`t work! I recieved a popup that it was impossible to connect on unknown reason. It was just for test i actually don`t use it!=))

I changed it extra to apple looks.So it looks great in my opinion.:rolleyes: If you want to change it into original windows. We need to recook it.

For all users, who is asking about internet sharing. I never use this feature. So can't ever test it. In Germany. It is not a cheap one, for a foreign student like me, to use Phone as modem.
It should work. Because I dont change anything. But if not. You can use Diamond Edition 2. I am sure, that one is working perfectly.

The feature, which I use oft , is ActiveSync via Bluetooth. Since I have Broadband Internet on my Laptop. So sharing from Computer to Prophet. Not Prophet to Laptop.

i think this is a wm6.1 issue, as i have exactly the same on my touch cruise wehn tring to loggin to face book or internet banking (both of which are supposed to be mobile friendly!!) sometimes face book works but internet banking does not. It is not a fault of Vincents rom:D

Firstly thank you very very much for this exelent ROM. I love it :)...
The only bug i can report is that i can not put programs in the today menu (for instance: calander & batterystatus). If i deactivate Touch Flo it is posible to put programs in today screen, but without the diamond-look menu (it looks like a cleane version). Can you fix this please. I realy need the "today program support".

it's not a Rom bug, with Touch Flo impossible to have another today plugin on the same screen. You can use SecondToday http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_wm_tools_im_cs.htm#SecondToday

no . you can't add any programs. If you activate touch flo.

But in touch flo. There are list of program that you can add. Last tab from Touch Flo.

I have installed mortscript and opera mini 4.2 and esmertec jbed from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=384271) and followed all the steps. Opera works great and I have put a link in start menu, but I don't know how to link to the touchflo browser as it seems not to be working.

I don't understand why, meanwhile when I have installed Youtube the link in touchflo for youtube works great.

Except this link, everything is working very good and very fastly in my renew prophet device

I installed LF Xtreme BLUE V2 by LoFFactoryagain to test WIFI, because I was afraid that something was wrong with my prophet. With this ROM however, wifi is working normal, maybe your Rom does not work with my access point? Anyway, I like your work (and roms), because your rom has more ram available and keeps ram better and I also like your graphics. But, I also like to use WIFI. Any suggestion?

AFAIK sdhc requires hardware not just software. so i guess no, our prophets don't have the hardware necessary for sdhc. i use 4gb card non sdhc without no problems

Actually you need to change it again to potrait mode. Cos TF2D not compatible with landscape mode.

I use this settings on my device.

Go to settings/button

At comm manager buttons settings.

Normally, if you press it for a while, it will go directly to comm manager. And if you hold it for a bit longer. It will go to audio note. (i mean record your voice)

I change it to this one.

for short --> rotate screen
for long --> comm manager

So I can rotate the screen as much as I want.

yes, you can. No registry needed.

Just set the album of your photos from storage card into favorite.

I have a weird change in my touchflo today screen. I don't how it happened, but my clock suddenly was changed from 12 hr to 24 hr. As it happened before with other roms I knew how to change it back in the registry, but now my clock on the title bar is showing in 12 hr and on my today screen the analog clock is still in 24 hr. Does anybody have any idea how to change it again?

I would use advanced config (found somehwere on forum) and play wuth the bluetooth settings, bitpool, settings and joint stereo. i havetested this and it works as i was getting hissing too and i know this will help you :D get back n let me know.

Thanks for the advice, but I know that M2D won't work in landscape and it turns landscape into portrait. My question was why my prophet boots up in landscape, since I didn't do anything and it only start with the 3rd splash (the vista screen). My question still is how we can change something that it boots up and stays in portrait all the time without the need to manually change to portrait. Maybe some registry mod?

Happened to me too (after opening the camera, which did not close properly). Fixed by going into Settings -> System -> Screen and in the general settings tab (under orientation) changing to landscape, and then back to portrait, and rebooting.

And the smartest I've seen as well! for those like me who would like the extra tabs that is often seen on the youtube videos the solution is a program called Manilla 2d customizer.. tip: dont enable a tab if you dont have the app e.g. google maps for the maps tab.. you'll crash the touchflo

Just use Diamond Edition 2 if you want to make multitask.

First. Opera works not perfectly here at Prophet. Either Google Maps can be install later.

Need More RAM, use Diamond Edition 2. (Clean or Full One)

It has more RAM , WPA2 Support and Internet Sharing works well. And it is fast also

Use Task Manager from WkTask or QuickMenu , you will have a reset function too.

Or you can search from Google for softresetPPC.cab. It is freeware

Open the video files with Windows Media Player. Can't with HTC Album, even it shows like that.

For HTC Random Access Skin, search it from Developer and Hacking Section. Find some skin there.

It just cant be open from HTC Album.

Oh and for the guys having problems with your wifi.. I use my wifi at least 4 hrs every day and there is no problem.. my radio rom is 2.20.21 but varanusvincent recommends 2.19.21.. if you're using something else then that could be the issue to try upgrading/downgrading..

And i've tried multiple builds of Opera Mobile (actually 4 different builds).. Its pathetic on the prophet no matter what rom you use.. You're better off with opera mini.. but Manila Blue doesn't include a Java VM.. You'll havta install that 1st! There is a nice .cab installer for opera mini available somewhere on this forum.. it will give you a direct shortcut icon for opera mini and install it as the default viewer if you choose.. search for it ;)

I have problem with autoreset.
My S200 with this rom softreset itself randomly. I Have build an application for write current datetime in a file. I put this app in startup folder for monitoring how many times autoreset.

Autoreset occours 4-5 times in a 24 hours

A2DP needs the patch I think.. the link is somewhere in this thread.. It works on mine but i've never tried it without the patch..

I've been playing around with roms this weekend.. This is pretty much the smoothest and most beautiful and stable of the latest roms.. it does have a large memory footprint but I havent had any major issues as yet. It seems only Gullums rom got video in HTC Album working which would have been nice in this rom.. apart from that I've only found 1 other problem.. Internet sharing doesnt work.. anyone else got it to work? Otherwise, I love this rom, I recommend everyone at least try it.. Thnx Varanusvincent

Did you actually go thru and flash it or just stop when it didnt show you the update info. I dont think it showed me the info either, but i just ignored it and flashed:D One thing tho, i had to put it into bootloader to flash this rom, it didnt flash otherwise and jsut showed update error, so put it into bootloader manually before using the RUU. (i assume you know how to do this:D)

- but i want to say something about dialpad: the contact picture when there is an incoming call is very small, and when you dial someone the picture is too small we say here "like a louse" :)

- the other thing that i want to tell about is weather tab. it does not work correctly i think. if i don't update for a day, the next day it doesn't change the forcast, it always show the day i last updated.

so to solve this problem or an alternative suggestion i want to change tab contents or add new custom tabs viewing the content of any today plugin.. for example i want to add another weather today plugin into a tab and don't show the weather tab.

You can add/remove/edit the pocketflo tabs with the M2DC program. Google it. :)

Also, I second the small user photo remark. If someone calls you it would be more esthetically pleasing if the picture were a lot bigger. Maybe (quasi-)fullscreen?

Well Varanus, in my opinion your Roms are more stable and have a more friendly interface then many others that are out there the diamond design is efficient and works with no problems, the only thing that misses is some more apps we can find on the other Roms of the ppl you mentioned.
As to the operating system i suggest getting the windows 7 Beta its better than Vista and works as fast as Xp and with less problems and as the graphics of vista, so keep seending us your work and i hope everybody else tries to make as good or better than you, bye Hugo.

Vincent my friend. I have been testing this rom for over a month now, it is VERY good, so many thanks, fast and stable. I have second today screen for the other apps i need and all works well when overclocked (although i shouldnt need to yes hehe, but it is very smooth when doin so).

Vincent my friend. I have been testing this rom for over a month now, it is VERY good, so many thanks, fast and stable. I have second today screen for the other apps i need and all works well when overclocked (although i shouldnt need to yes hehe, but it is very smooth when doin so).

Did you get the cab installer from this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2881525&postcount=4986)

If yes, you have to disable M2D first.After that reset your device. After restart, install the cab.Reset again. After that you have to enable M2D again.

It is because you didn't HARDSPL your device already.

To recover.

Force it into boot loader mode.

How??

FORCE BOOTLOADER MODE MANUALLY HOW TO = ....


keep pressing the Commgr button and

in the same time keep picking/sticking the bottom softreset button with stylus for one second,

THEN ONLY ONLY RELEASE THE STYLUS and wait for the screen
TO CHANGE to the three color screen (red green and blue)(bootloader mode),


then release all and plug your device with USB into PC



Install this ROM

PDAVIET no Vendor (http://rapidshare.com/files/72839727/Prophet_PV_Temp2.rar)

HARDSPL your device.

Nope, hadnt tried that one. but this does exactily the same. once resart, tap to launch, it says starting touch flo then stops after one second then goes back to tap to launch screen.

does not start and i just dont get it?

I'm using this rom, but I can't connect to internet trought the pda. My O.S is windows vista. Do you have any suggestion?

Blue manilla was the best ever ROM i had installed on my prophet. Many thanks to you! the whole touchflo 2d works like a charm.

The only issue that I am facing - it might be that i didnt set something correctly - is that whenever I turn on wifi and connect to my unsecured wifi home network, it works fine in the start but if I go to weather tab or open opera mini the system hangs displaying a white screen with a keyboard icon.
Please note internet surfing via GPRS works fine and I was able to update weather properly.

I would really appreciate if you can give me some pointers to get this issue resolved. Wifi is very much needed.

Also what application should I install for my Youtube link to work? it do nothing when I tap on it now.

mm most strange, i dont have this issue. Wifi and storage card all work fine, did you hard-reset after flash? that is wierd as mine works fine... ill have a test and see if i can replicate.

I'm using ur Manila ROM,and I always have problem when I was trying to open my storage card using File Explorer.
My Storage Card is V-Gen 1 GB, and I'm using Dopod 818 Pro.
So I have 2 eject the card 1st, then inject it before it can be identified.
Can u help me?

using advanced config, have a look at the power settings in the sd card part, it might be part of the problem. How old is the card? I have a similar problem with a 2gb kingston sd card that has intermitant read issues. i copied everything off the card, formatted it then put everything back on? Helps for the mean time but still happens every now and then.

Now then, you have to read the stickys in the upgrade section and read the wiki, all the information is there, you just need to look for it. If you dont look for it, you wont understand how to do it and will probably end up bricking your device like many others on here, then you will be screaming for help again.

Flashing is not wise if you dont understand the processes involved. Might be harsh advice but realistic. I read for hours and hours before my first flash and when it didnt work i read some more. You will get a sence of achievement then when you suceed, which is kool, and is why i am still on here and contribute here:D
