Hello all,

can anyone tell me how to automatically switch off GPRS (or any connection) after an automated send/receive?

The reason I'm asking is that I set my interval to check for emails every 15m, but after the first time it connects, the GPRS just stays on and this kills my battery!

I would just like to know if there's a way for manilla to switch off any connections automatically after downloading emails.

Many many thanks,

iCE

Just go to connectivity option in menu and find GPRS connection...Then choose turn off option.

OP is looking for an automatic way of achieving this.

I have found that my battery life is dependent on signal strength, a good GRPS connection, over a day, poor GPRS and it struggles. HSPDA and just under the day depending on useage.

Just set the disconnect time, after it stalls of 2:00, have it disconnect.

Thanks for that Paul,

But how do you do that?
