As is.
Just press the "!COOK.CMD" file. (or make your changes before)
Old opinion:
>>8M of PP - after long time of testing looks as the optimal size for performance/RAM.<<
New opinion:):
12M PP looks bit more responsible to interface.
New packages & drivers.
Tweaked several packages - for less memory use.
Tried to put all possible configs in one OEM/xxxconfig folder.
UC ready, - look to _ADDS/Internal Storage forder for example.
Mark all content of "Install" forder as "read only". Or you loose it after install or hard reset.
The best way - look inside "provision.zip" and make your own config file. Put it in "Install" folder and line as
"XML: \Storage\Install\provider.xml" to "sdconfig.txt".
Password for provision.zip you can find at the help page of Connection setup.
You need unsigned HardSPL!
Don't forget about hard reset after first install & make content of "Internal Storage/Install" READ ONLY!

MSXIP21109 & SYS21109(XIP inside) added to "Lego" repository.

------Check the time of upload, new version could be there: not the all changes going to the "NEWS" category -------
P.S. Remark for all:
I open this thread for people, who want to make own rom, but don't want spent the time for brutal operations.
Not all components is "mondi's original", - big thanks for
bepe,
swtos,
Niki,
Vic5870,
AVLev,
Prewien,
lexxirae,
and others for ideas and work.
It's only "timepoints" of my kitchen. With bugs, mistakes etc.
Will be glad to see opinions, founded bugs, new ideas.
EVERYBODY CAN USE IT AT ALL, if they use it for private ROM or follow the same "open" politics.

hi,
at first, i have the same problem with extracting (3.8) and authentification,
but it extracts ... i dont know, if some files wouldnt extract?
the second is
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH" !
where you are the last weeks during i flashing my rom with kaiserkitchen
(it's very good, but for beginners its very strong ... with a liitle time spend
and reading here and reading there its gone) ? :)
i cooked my own rom ... i think its 3 houers before ...
its always the same - iam finishing with this one - than an other cooker/flasher puts a new thread and all the works begin at zero.
but that is it what we love i think.
i will use my rom for 3 or 4 houers than i will test/use your kitchen :)
thank you for your work.
okokur
p.s.
my english is not so good and the time its gone to morning,
my comment to your thread means positiv/happy. it dont means any angries

Hello!
I repeat: it's not "my" kitchen.
"My" is only changes in OEM/SYS/ROM folders.
I like this kind of kitchen for useful "stepping".
Forgot, where did I find it. Somewhere here:)
Bit later will be update to 20757 (HD ported).

This kitchen seems of no use to me.
It needs .nb, .wrn and other files which are'n present.

Ok, sorry it's working now...
Another question: a lot of files are from date 10th of July, for example the manila files. Does this mean these files really are so old???
The latest versions of manila are of a newer date are they?

I just got my Diamond 2 weeks ago. I cook my first ROM using your kitchen tree but I have some questions:
1. Why the setting up screen is all black ? I thought there were some sort of Windows Mobile 6 background
2. I tried to set up bluetooth but it shows me a message box with something like "No bluetooth hardware"
I follow the instructions by just clicking !Cook.cmd. I didn't change anything in your packages. Did I do something wrong ?
Please advice. By the way, thanks for this kitchen tree.

1. Why the setting up screen is all black ? I thought there were some sort of Windows Mobile 6 background
It's just my choice: less using rom/ram memory. And not important at all. You can use yours pictures. It is the kitchen, isn't it?:)

I'll see. I use BT very seldom. Didn't check it, just put the packages.

I'll see. I use BT very seldom. Didn't check it, just put the packages.I coocked my ROM with version 20755: everything's fine here with bluetooth (and all other stuff). I use bluetooth for my carkit, works fine.
I benchmarked this ROM with my usual benchmarks: it's pretty fast compared to others! I left out Opera and Google Maps, but I don't think that makes a big difference in benchmark results.
I will try your Blackstone upgrade this evening, I'm curious if that's faster than the 20755... (in fact I don;t think so).
There is one strange thing in this one: I can't change pagepool. Using pagepoolchanger.exe it says it can't find the right address...
Keep you informed...

Agree. I did benchmarks too. (?)
BT fix - in the first post (from 20755 SYS). Works now.
There is one strange thing in this one: I can't change pagepool. Using pagepoolchanger.exe it says it can't find the right address....
pagepoolchanger.exe don't works to Diamond (use search - don't remember, where is the info). Use hex editor.
...and NB container is reduced by uldr, - only one needed address.
Keep you informed...

Well, if you like take a look at my thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406640, you can compare this ROM with many others, all tested on the same device, under the same circumstances, more or less.. I will add this ROM's benchmark results later this evening.

here friend... like mentioned in a PM sent you this morning... I'm porting some pieces of your base sys/xip for including in my rom (dia duit), of course I'll mention that the base rom comes from your hard work :)
instead of upgrading the whole sys I prefer to choose faster/smaller dlls between different sys :D
anyway also my rom is open, because I strongly believe that this is the only way to proceed to a faster development... by sharing infos each other
but I'll prefer to share the whole kitchen on my 1st stable release, now we are at v08, because till now my rom has some bugs
thx mate!

I was bad surprised too. Quite big diff between close versions. About 5%, isn't it?
After trying several combination of xip/sys me like 20755 at last time.
Or xip757/sys755 - no bad too.

Early, I think. Can't to call its rom stable. Just found more bugs, think not the last for today:) (lighting for missed call is absent; green element in manila)
I return to home now, so new version could be tonight.
PagePoolChanger DOES work on most 'normal' Diamond ROMs, I've used it many times before. But I guess it conflicts with the uldr thing... no problem.
May we use different versions?
"My" looks properly worked, but by devhelth.exe - PP didn't changed.

Ok, I'm still using version 20755 for a few days now.
There are some bugs and stability problems:
- Loosing GPS fix. I'm using TomTom and my GPS fix is dropping all the time, can't get a steady fix.
- Loosing BT connection. I connected my carkit using bluetooth. Every now and then I loose connection with my carkit.
- Threaded SMS: this options doesn't work (I enabled but doesn't work),
These things DO work correctly in other ROMs.
Maybe some problems are solved in version 20757? Maybe I'll try that later this evening...

here instead... I've ported 757 to my rom (dia duit), but I had to replace most of drivers of 1.97 with the ones coming from 1.96... in my opinion 1.96 still rocks :D
anyway... till now all seems working well, ram managements is definitively better than 755, 8PP is the best balance even if I'm experimenting also with 4PP, so... still investigating but future is really close ;)

Which kind of radio do you use?
personally I test radios using the MS tool fieldtest.exe... it shows you the signal strength of your cell broadcast, so less noise means much power, in fact right now the most balanced radio is 1.00.25.08 (also 07 & bs14 perform well), during these days I'm testing 1.09.25.23
fieldtest is very useful because goes beyond "feelings"... so you can compare signal with different radios but in the same place/situation, for with 05 I have no signal in my lift... instead even if the phone isn't able to call with 08 in the same situation I have a bit of signal... and this is not due to my personal feeling

hmm... I'm still having BIG BIG doubts... in adopting 1.97 rom... there is something that didn't convince me, just finished this test: I put the same same pkgs & whatever in 2 EQUAL kitchens... 1st based on 1.97 & 2nd based on 1.96... results are in favor of 1.96
again... newer sys like 20757 "seems" fatter compared to original ones that come with stock rom... & I don't see real speed improvements, it seems just that with 20757 ram leakage is less... but repeat... it seems... after about 1 hour of usage... I can't see if there are real differences
again... if I benchmark both roms also with diff sys/xip I see very very close results... so... why we are frustrating our minds to import newer/fatter sys/xip/roms if results are almost the same??

I completely agree... I have been using the 1.96 for a good few weeks now and I have to say I´m very happy with it. I cooked up the 1.97 when it came out but it didn´t seem to be as smooth.
The same goes with a lot of the new SYS and XIP I´ve tried.. The diffrence is very very very small... as always newer doesn´t always mean better! ;)

I've tried to add the original phone canvas package (the one with with phone lock slide) in the ADDS folder to the OEM folder, once I've cooked it and flashed the nbh, I'm getting the normal 1.93/1.96 Phone canvas, there is no slide....what am I doing wrong...all I am doing is adding the 3 folders in the PACKAGE_Diamond_PhoneCanvas_original.rar into the OEM folder, obviously first deleting the ones already in OEM.
I think it for lock phone. Not sure: don't use it. It just from Vodafon's rom.

It's rather useless..It's just a sliding "cover" during phone calls to avoid unwanted screen tuches (if the light sensor or/and sleep isn't enabled).
I've used it in on of my roms for a while, but I took it out. You can press by mistake during the call the small softbutton and the cover dissapears, and you can then touch by mistake the TS, so, is like you wouldn't use this "magic cover".
Useless, don't waste ur time with it, but this is just my personal oppinion.

Yeah, the grey cover looks rubbish....but for people who have not set thier screens to off on phone calls it does have its conveniences, especially if you change the bland looking cover bitmap file....

pollingtime... is the regkey you should look in :)
the pollingtime is the time of polls (in the time unit) made by gps driver, in few words de-creasing this value will take less time for a fix, of course it takes more battery too ;)
default value is 1000, you can lower up to 256 but you have to lower maxbuffer too or your gps will fix/unfix like a crazy horse :)
in/out buffers are irrelevant... even if there are 2 reg keys for those value...
SleepOnNoData must seek pollingtime too, so for ex if poll is 500 sleep must be 500 (or any near value) too

me too don't understand... here rom 2.00 works with UC too...
Noonski
11th December 2008, 12:02 PM
The config.txt file you use in your OEM are set to Storage. to run UC Autorun.
The RGU's in both OEM drivers and OEMLANG have the Storage Card name still in them.
SDAutorun Checks those registry settings (only the to determine the name of the Storage card to run and find the sdconfig.txt
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles \SDMemory)
This was done to give UC Autorun Easy support for MultilAnguages.
That was before a device with a Flashdisc came out.
So Sleuth never took into account the value that would pop up in the Diamond,
([HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\ moviNAND])
The files attached have al the correct values for normal UC SDAutorun support. (just 4 or 6 changed regs)
So
LOCK:Enabled
XML: \WINDOWS\Menu_Operation.xml
XML: \Windows\RemoveArrtibMMS_0409.xml
EXEC:\Windows\AutoShortcut.exe
EXEC:\Windows\AutoAttribute.exe \Windows\MASD_RemoveReadOnly.txt
XML: \Windows\finish.provxml
CFG: \Storage\sdconfig.txt
LOCK:Disabled
RST: Reset
LOCK:Enabled
XML: \WINDOWS\Menu_Operation.xml
XML: \Windows\RemoveArrtibMMS_0409.xml
EXEC:\Windows\AutoShortcut.exe
EXEC:\Windows\AutoAttribute.exe \Windows\MASD_RemoveReadOnly.txt
XML: \Windows\finish.provxml
LOCK:Disabled
EXEC:\Windows\SDAutorun.exe
But maybe i have overlooked the actual package your using for UC?
Never used any other method over several Devices.
So if your method is working you can ignore my details.

After use you can uninstall it... and install again for change provider's configs.
Spending a lot of money for "roaming data traffic" could make everybody to be careful.
The best way - look inside "provision.zip" and make your own config file. Put it in "Install" folder and line as
"XML: \Storage\Install\provider.xml" to "sdconfig.txt".
Password for provision.zip you can find at the help page of Connection setup."

I used the drivers from O.R.D.E. Kitchen v1.95.405.1.
Yeah i switched around from drivers since then.
Went back to 90% of 1.95 drivers and only a stuff i found updated in 1.96, 1.97 and 2.0 i ported over.

You mean the shellres.192.dll.
You have to take it out of the module folder and then use the regular file.
Or you can copy the shellres.192.dll and then rename it to shellres.192.dll.0409.mui or shellres.192.dll.0413.mui depending on your Rom language.
Shadowing the DLL with the MUI is safer for the system then actually replacing the icons in the main systems dll.
Also check it the Rom your cooking has all certificate security disabled and extra certificates added. Or it won't accept the use of the unsigned DLL (or you could resign the DLL.mui)
So is dont know which method was used to replace the icon here but at least you know which files your looking for.

The easy way - use shellres.192.dll.0409.mui (don't remember icon's position)
I use changed Base_DPI_192/shellres.192.dll (icon positions 292&293)
You could need recmod.exe, reversmode.exe & G'reloc/M'reloc to finish.
Or, try the stupid way: just replace folder shellres.192.dll with hacked from my kitchen, then - G'Reloc.
It could work:)
And don't forget disable policies.

I did it, but with disabled uninstall. As usually, by M$ opinion, M$ products are the most necessary for us.
Standard methods don't works.
So, I can't spend more time for uninstall problem. The best way for uninstall will be hardreset:).

Any mirrors (no rapidshare) please ?
Downloads keep crashing here (with multiple download managers) and takes me forever because of the RapidSux time-out. I dont have a problem paying for something but not for such. I'd prefer to buy the programmer coffee :P

Or be patience to FULL version. During the week, I think.

+ os.nb.12pp.rar/ os.nb.8pp.rar - recommended.
Little advice: don't make the rom bigger, then 72-75M. It's tuned for "light" weight.

I just tried the Prepared_DIAM_WWE_KitchenTree_1.96_NATALY.RAR.
I haven't added any packages.
Sadly the build didnt go very well. It ends with the message: "Executing ..\TOOLS\NBMerge with data chunk size = 0x800 and extra chunk size = 0

on file os-new.nb

I have the same problems, boot.rgu is reported as "not found" although I can see it in what seems to be the correct folder. I have tried both DIAM_WWE_KitchenTree_1.1_NATALY_LIGHT and WWE_DIAM_OS764_B764_12PP_NATALY_V1.1.1_KITCHEN.
What I do is:
1. Extract the RAR getting error msg: Invalid or corrupt authenticity information
2. Start !COOK
3. Follow instructions, choosing Diamond and os_new.nb in HTC ROM Tool etc.
What also is weird is that my output size is 62.3 MB for Light ROM (73.5 MB for 1.1.1). Your Light is only 51.1 MB.
No packages are removed or added, I'm only testing. I am using Vista. I haven't dared to flash them yet... :o
Hope we can get it to work, it would be awesome to be able to tailor-make the cooked-in apps with your blazingly fast ROM as base! :)
PS. Congrats on the benchmark score in Pietruccis thread!

Ah, of course. :p Extracted your light RAR, the .nbh was 61.8 MB, pretty close to the 62.3 MB that I cooked but not exactly the same.
Might be close enough to make me take the plunge and dare to flash it and see if it works, especially since you get the "boot.rgu not found" too! :)

I found out why I'm getting that "Could Not Find C:\KITCHEN\temp\boot.rgu" error.
It comes from the "9.CreateROMDiamond.bat" script trying to delete boot.rgu - which is not possible because that file is marked as "hidden".
I've tried with the latest kitchen and latest sys... The OS is still not able to boot.

I also had this problem. and the really was not able to boot. then I started cooking a ruusigned and then, in time to cook, replacing only the sys and oem folders from lego packages.in order not to repeat the process again, I saved in the folder boot.rgu rom / xip. works perfectly. someone has an easier solution?

I copied the hidden boot.rgu to the phone, and from the phone I changed the file so that it is not hidden any more :). Hope it helps.
LE: Sorry, it seems that even if I changed it so it is not hidden anymore, the same erorr apears :( and with the one copyed from the "tools" folder the windows is acting strange, it doesn`t install all the programs.
LLE: I copied the content of the hidden boot.rgu into the one from the "tools" folder and it worked now. I tried the base Kitchen Tree and it cooked it correctly now, no more problems. One question, if I change packages, the boot.rgu has to be modified or something else? For example I want to insert the cam drivers posted by another user a few posts ago. Thanks, sorry for the noob questions.

Tried to download your 12MB PP from your Rapidshare folder and when I download the RAR and try to extract I get:
Invalid Or Corrupt Authenticity Information
Redownloaded twice, same issue, then tried IE instead of Firefox and still same problem.
Is this a issue as I don't want to try my first attempt at cooking with a corrupt file, if the rar is damaged could you rehost or attach direct to your posting.
Many thanks,
