ROM upgrade failed

I have tried installing different ROM today, and I read Kar Hoe's blog instructions. Since I already had installed WM6, I tried installing 6.1 today, and in instructions says I should skip first 5 steps, and continue from step 6. I did so, turned off ActiveSync, started ttermpro (shows device is SuperCID), formatted BINFS (ok), restarted device, skipped step 10 (WM6GSMUpdate) and in the step 11, after I have enabled ActiveSync, I cannot establish connection with ROMUpdateUtility.

I can however establish connection with ttermpro, can do format BINFS, tried hard reset, nothing helps.

Any help?

did you enable usb connections in activesync?

Yes I did, when I said "and in the step 11, after I have enabled ActiveSync,", I meant USB connection in ActiveSync.

I havent been home last 3 hours, and now I came and restarted PC, removed the battery from phone, plugged it, and tried again, and all went well. Seems that there was some confusion. :)
