First I am glad to hear that you work on a Manila Version and share already the first beta with us.

I flashed the rom and get following messages for all the mentioned programs:
init_tray.exe

sdadaemon.exe

TimeWizard.exe kann nicht ausgeführt werden.

During the PIN query I cant see the numbers nor the text at the right side.

Any idea what is wrong? :confused:

Hello again.

I could fix the not showing graphics during the PIN query by skipping the customizing process of the original T-Mobile ROM.

In addition I found out that old installed programs are still there, e.g. Total Commander. Other programs shipped with the original ROM are missing, but icon still there, e.g. "Sprachwahl" or "ClearVue PDF".

By the way, when I tried to flash the new rom the standard way by just using the batch file, the installation process failed. Because of this I copied the files "EnableRapi.cab", "Cert_SPCS.cab" & "ItsUtils.dll". Installed the cabs & moved the DLL to the windows drive. After this I could flash the ROM.

I had similar or same error messages with the "Diamond ROM" or the "Charmer TouchFLO WM6 German Version 3.2 - by Ridingshark ".

Hi.

The issue was the HARD RESET. Even I knew that I need to do it and press the needed buttons, I was not aware to keep pressing the buttons for ~ 2 seconds after I realeased the stylus.

Finally everything is working in a proper manner.

I've just flashed your ROM. It's absolutely amasing how fast the interface is on the Charmer. I assumed it'll be rather slow, but the UI reacts very direct. Nice job!

I plan to translate this great ROM into WWE with permission from cYBERdEL.
The very first version (made in about 4 hours with 95% of OS translation) is working well on my Charmer.
I also plan to release the kitchen and a short tutorial for users, who want to translate to their language.

ich habe heute die Rom Version 0.7 auf meinem Charmer installiert, jedoch tritt bei mir das Problem auf dass der Ok/X-Button nicht funktioniert... laut den Release-Notes sollte dieses Problem doch bereits behoben sein oder?

Finde dieses Rom wirklich spitze und freu mich schon darauf es zu verwenden! ;) Allerdings solang dieses Problem existiert werd ich wohl weiter dein Diamond Rom benutzen müssen.... An dieser Stelle aufjedenfall vielen vielen Dank für deine Arbeit!!! :)

@AdrianJunker: Das Problem mit dem ok tritt bei mir nur ganz selten auf. Wenn ich das ändere, so dass es gar nicht auftritt, funktioniert die touch Funktion mit dem scrollen nicht mehr. Aus diesem Grund bleibt es vorerst so. Ich vermute mal das es spätestens mit der 6.5er Version gelöst wird. Also... standby ;)

@AdrianJunker: The problem occurs with the ok to me only very rarely. If I change, so it did not occur, does the touch function to the scroll no more. For this reason it is so initially. I guess the times are 6.5er with the latest version is resolved. So ... standby;)

Hi Cyberdel,

at first I have to point out I'm a big fan of your Charmer ROMs for a long time now.
Changed from diamond look WM6.1 GER ROM about two months ago to Manila 2D v0.5 and liked it even more the longer I used it, especially its smoothness.
Did not reconize any problem during this time frame e.g. OK/X-button worked very well.
Today I installed version 0.8 to give it a try, and here are my first impressions:
- I too have now the OK/X-button problem, and this constantly
- I liked the old standard keyboard more - you can see more of the remaining screen - so please include it at least as an option beside the new one
- pbar is back - nice - I missed it from the Diamond ROM
- OmapClock is a good addon, but (I think also in the Diamond ROM) there was a more powerful utility which could set frequency depending on CPU load (= reduced on low load), can't remember what it was ....
- in general I have the feeling that handling is a bit slower than in v0.5

Additional questions:
1) I'm wondering since first installation of v0.5 what the alarm clock is good for - why not using the standard alarm in the calender ?
2) I wanted to play around with new skins and therefore tried the Manila 2D customizer (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425974), but it didn't work for me = froze when I changed something, after reset TouchFlo was not starting, needed a hard reset. Do you have any experience with it ? Or is your ROM so different from the standard Manila installation so that it's not usable.

Hi.

Auch bei mir funktioniert der X-Button nicht richtig. Wenn man jedoch genau darüber, also genau am oberen Rand des Bildschirms anklickt, reagiert der Charmer aber. Bei der V0.5 gabe es das Problem nicht. Ansonsten läuft das ROM sehr stabil. Prima und weiter so!

I noticed that the Transcriber is not in the packages any more (not in Old or new Keyboard package). Is there any reason why you removed it?

I searched for a german Transcriber cab but only found an English version. Is there a german one for this ROM?

i found that mah Charmer can't load the Audio Manager when I press on the Music tab...

Great work ! *respect*
ROM works fine with my device. Here are my observations so far:
- charmer reboots in fantastic speed !
- everything is really fast ! --> this is why I will use it until of my charmer's life end.
- 252 MHz doesn't work
- I use iGO8 for navigation. It freezes very often (never on wm5)

Does anybody has hints how to configure internet and mms (german t-mobile settings .... settings provided by t-mobile via sms aren't working) ?

hi comapct22,

thank you! i have found an other application to manage the speed, also with idle-mode!! Its called Omapclockkeep - this is a really useful application to over-/underclock your charmer! Install it, and then click on the hamburger *gg* in start menu - give your idle (i have choosen 147 mhz) and your highest speed lever (i have choosen 252 mhz). you can test your clockspeed, if you go in file manager in the folder programme/omapclockkeep/... and start omapclock.exe - then you will see the actual clock speed! Try it, its really great! I have attached this file!

If you want to change your provider settings go to startmenü - einstellungen - verbindungen - netzwerk and then choose youre country (maybie germany ;)) and then your provider - voila c'est tout ;)) restart and be happy to have mobile connection to the world ;))

PPS: If you want, you can also try my new rom with Windows Mobile 6.5 its faster than my Manila 2D Rom, after hard-reset nearly 28 mb of free ram an nearly 41 mb free storage space!

- X Button problem still exists on my device (not so tragically)
- Can't open Email Attachments directy. (I have to save them on the Storagecard to open it)

This ROM is _only_ for the MDA Compact 2! It won't work on any other device without porting it! So don't be stupid. Don't try to install it on any other device then the Charmer (MDA Compact 2).
