Volume for Notifications

Hi, just got the Diamond y'day and would appreciate some help on 2 points

1 Can i fix the volume control on the LHS so that it is not activated when coming out of the case ?

2 Can i set different volume levels for notifications, since I want to definitely hear the phone and messages but only just hear other notifications ?

How do I lock the volumes so they cannot change even if the buttons on the LHS are touched ?
