A new ROM series is here. MichyPrima's ROM studio presents: The first Clean Edition ROM, with a lot of RAM free and very few apps included.
Screenshots are not needed, we all know how Windows Mobile looks like.

Let me get essentials going,from what another posts is there not even an sms,contact,camera apps? im askin because im personally using michy 6.1 and dont have another device to test this rom so I gotta go by wa evreyone experiences and what michy puts out to me which can be rough because it's uncanny to ask a rom cook what versions of apps and packages they put in (a.k.a ingredients,It's like askin a cook of a big restaurant how to make their famous dishes lol.

I'll tell you what you wont see in salad bars and goodies bags is any updates to core related items such as bluetooth,intermediate drivers for gps,wifi,phone radio,and other sys related stuff that needs to be cooked in to function for that is the only things michy needs to update for rom releases as for core updates and that's what makes this rom so efficient for cook to just focus on core while Salad Bars focuses on the trimmings thus you may see more frequent rom updates this way which is great because the core is most important and most updated and best core is what we want first a.ka the foundation ,then you can build a house in whatever style you want,without a solid foundation you house will fall.

For now you can use the goodies bag in michy 6.1 (will repost link in my 1st post here under michy rom postings) to get some functionality going also including the recommended opera browser 9.5 from omnia.Goodies bag for michy 6.1 is for same build here so im sure it'll work.

Nah, it has all the basics like file explorer, messaging, calendar, internet explorer, word, excel, power point and etc.. It looks like he took the base ROM as-is and didn't add anything (or anything much that is) to it. However, I can't see where he actually went into the base ROM and ripped anything out that was there to begin with.

There are a few things that he kept which I totally agree with: the minimalistic comm manager is still there, so is the power-off application which gives you an array of choices when you long-push the power button. There are probably a few more surprises too, but I didn't poke around too deeply.

Basically, it feels just like 6.1, but without hardly any extra apps installed. I didn't notice any speed improvements over 6.1 (or 5.1 or 4.1 for that matter), but then it is hard to get faster than fast.

The really big downer for me is that I ran into the exact same freezes (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2983818&postcount=1654)I was experiencing with 6.1. Otherwise though, it seems like a good ROM and will be exactly what a lot of people have been waiting for.

I will just have to wait until the next build I guess...

sd installation: my experience has been that the more memory available in the main memory the smoother things run. I do a lot of note taking with pen recognition and so I am sensitive to the slightest loss in speed. It may be that there is a threshold in memory use so that up to some point you have no loss in speed but once passed you have a loss. I may be ill informed but this has been my 'sense'. In any case, the opera does take up a lot of memory.

I am open to enlightenment.

Altough Michys rom is lot better than stock WM6 rom regarding bluetooth, I agree that there exists problems with his rom, too. I have problems with my Blaupunkt car stereo with bluetooth and which are loosing connection after each call. My HTC S740 dos not have these problems. So a better bluetooth stack on my X7500 would be great.

Install the Big HTC Home (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=423888) plugin perhaps? (Also thanks to Michy by the way!)

Or perhaps you want Manila 2D (also called touchflo). If so, please download and flash Michy's 6.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=411371). In fact, for beginners I really think loaded ROMs like 6.1, 5.1 and 4.1 are best as they offer lots of pre-installed options.

well done and my praises for this new rom! quick 2 questions...i noticed in your bag of goodies that you have a gsen calibrator....

1) which then means that the auto-rotate function works?
and 2) if the gsen is active, do the other htc diamond apps work as well? example: bubble level

I finally upgraded from Michy 5.1 to this clean edition version 6.1 and find that bluetooth is lot better. It is stable and not dropping connection after calls as in version 5.1.

Ive tried flashing rom...rom is pretty fast and clean also...there is lot of probelm with bluetooth file transfer ..ftp doesnot work..i dont have any idea it works only wid nokia mobile phone prefectly,rest others htc touch/htc tytnII pro/doesnot works ..

i have tried other Mblue that works little better but no use ...coz it takes too much time and too much battery consumption .

there is probelm with this rom i foundout...today screen setup has problem if we set any .jpg image 640*480 as wallpaper.

The screen alignment doesnot works with my phone phone gets freezes.

finally i had refashed my device With your Rom 1.79 that was the best till sofar.

I am having the same power problem. I can duplicate it by using the advance config program and making a change that requires a reboot. When it comes back up it goes from 10% to shut down in less then a minute. Then if you plug it in it shows back to where it was prior to the reboot. This can be 90% or 50%. Also having a bluetooth headset audio quality issue. Working on trying to find the cause.

I really like this WM6.1 Clean Edition. Basic applications is only what I need. :-)
I get the felling that this ROM is much faster than other ROM's I've used and tested. Yet I also get some issues when testing this ROM.

Mostly it's when the device reboots or does a reset (various causes are: Activation of Real VGA 128dpi, Synchronization with a Exchange server requiring security policy, installation of SPB Mobile Shell), it wipes the Device ID back to the default HTC_X7500, resets the Clock to GMT -8 (very annoying), and reinstalls the customization pack.

So for now, while the ROM looks good, I can't get a finished configuration of applications and settings for long term usage. Is the R0 a Release Candidate ?

Update: Okay, I've had put myself in a bind, which has cause me no end of problems since yesterday. Prior to testing this ROM, I decided to give the Exchange OWA Mobile Device a remote wipe. I did not remove the Mobile Device from my OWA config, so each time I reinstalled the ROM and attempted to configure the Exchange Direct Push it performed a remote wipe... :-( I'm going to give it a new go again...

Is the R0 a Release Candidate ?

So you are having random soft/hard resets? That is totally not normal. Make sure you have the right SPL version (1.2 or 3.5) and reflash. You might have a bad flash or something because while there are a few small niggles with this ROM, it has proved very solid.

Very solid and very quick, but I still want to try different builds! @Michy, I am waiting patiently and anxiously for your next ROM, and I know I am not alone!

I think your hard reset problems aren't related to R0 ROM.
I have the same Without any problem. Try to 1) remove, if exist, any 2577 Directory from storage card or from microdrive. 2) RE-Flash your device

I updated my previous post... but to resume... I enabled a Remote Device Wipe on my Exchange OWA portal, and forgot to remove the Mobile Device, so each time I configured the Exchange Direct Push it wiped my config... again and again...

Since my error discovery, I'm glad to say that the ROM is very stable and fast.

i've updated my ROM so many time that I don't know which SPL I have any more :(

I would like to update my ROM to this current ROM and don't want to brick my device by installing the wrong version.

I know I originally update to olipro 1.2. Eventually I updated the ROM to AP4, finally to MiChy CE OS build 20931.1.4.0. i've updated my ROM so many time that I don't know which SPL I have any more :(

I would like to update my ROM to this current ROM and don't want to brick my device by installing the wrong version.

I know I originally update to olipro 1.2. Eventually I updated the ROM to AP4, finally to MiChy CE OS build 20931.1.4.0. This ROM is unstable and has been giving me a headache (sorry Michy). by unstable I mean that the running programs (ie, opera, touchflo, others) shutdown expectantly. does anyone else have that problem?

Go into bootloader (hard camera button press, press reset button hole) it will tell you on the multi coloured screen. do a soft reset again to get back to main screen.

I formost dont see anything fast about this Rom, the good thing the sent folder for SMS has been remove so my wife cant spy on wat I sent.

The MoBlue sucks, the g-sensor sucks , dont work with vueflow., the TCPMP player sucks.

For this ROM to be clean remove wat we dont need like MMS, sent folder, and games only.

Let us put what we want , ourselves and that we can say its cleanest ROM.

I had use one clean ROM for my HTC ELFIN, and it was dammed fast.

For now back to athena stock rom with cook spb shell from XDA :D

My issues are:
1. The icon of the arrow of the mouse appears in the screen, where I touch. a small icon, almost half of the icon that appears when a mouse is connected. At the beginning it will be quite nice. But now it very annoying. How can I disable the arrow.
2. Also in Programs folder, the icon of the FTouchFlo appear as a box, like the icon is missing.

The touchflo icon always appears like that because it doesn't have an icon image. I installed touchflo many times on different roms and it always shows as a white box. It wouldn't be difficult to copy the icon to your pc and edit it to have an image if you wanted one, then paste it back.

Well, it seems that this ROM is the most impressive till now. I have tried different times to upgrade over USB and every time I had the "error 260" (connection). After spending some time searching, reading and again reading :), I got it flashed, up and running. Finally, I had to flash it over miniSD card. I used before the AP 3 Dual version and it was fast enough. But this one is faster! Starting with boot till Navigation Systems (both TomTom and Navigon 7). Very nice looking, still a lot of software that I really don't need. But, as I said, is the best I've seen and used.

What stock ROM are you guys talking about? Michy's R0 clean version isn't perfect, but it is WAY faster than the ROM that came with my machine. If you point me to the stock ROM you are talking about, I might give it a try.

Also, you should try Michy's 4.1. It isn't light, and a couple of the installed programs are expired (cough, begging for lite 4.1 version, cough), but it is super-fast and I have zero hangups / freezes.

Love the skin and the resolution, and the options, which are more than in the Michy's 5.1 ROM. All in all a better choice, except when I try to enter a URL or search in the bar, the text I'm typing doesn't show, so I don't know if I'm even typing in the right field.

It's a very minor thing, since I can install whatever browsers I want, except now I'm stuck trying to find the version and skin that has this builds options, messing with skins if I feel the need, and... well, a silver platter is a lovely thing.

Love the ROM. I't exactly what I've been looking for! The only omission from the base ROM I'd like to see is Adobe Reader LE. I like PocketXpdf (http://pocketxpdf.sourceforge.net/) because it takes up so much less room (less than half), and although you have to go into "text mode" to copy and paste, at least you can. There used to be a paid version of Adobe Pocket Reader (that was the 2.5, not the LE. People seem to have confused them). In the paid 2.5, you could copy and paste, but it was 8+ mb. I can't find it downloadable anywhere, and I don't feel comfortable distributing it since I paid for it. LE is still a pretty bulky inclusion, and I'm hung up on copying and pasting (I print my reg code emails/pages using Bullzip (http://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info.php), and keep the pdfs on my card). XPDF might be a perfect replacement for those of us looking for more free memory, or just leave the whole PDF thing out, and include both in the salad bar or goddies bag.

Again, love it! (but I haven't messed with GPS yet.)

I realy love that Rom! It's the fastest I ever used.
GPS is very Quick and GPS Photo works, too.

Only that USBtoPC isn't in the Connections Tab but in the Systems Tab in the Settings and that Opera from Addins alwaysutomaticly changes to Portrat Mode is en annoyin me.
Does anyone know a fix for the Opera Problem and a way to move the USBtoPC link?

I believe this is one of the best ROM in the WM6.1 scenario.... and id for sure the BEST ROM for ATHENA.
I will suggest.... install Esmertec Java SD version , the xxxxx0912 version http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=486697, the download opera mini 4.2 mini.opera.com from the device's IE browser, check the results!

I use al FLIP-IT to rotate the sceen, and I activated the DIAMOND GSENSOR serviice, the rotation and screen redesign speed , in opera mini too, is astonishing.

I don't like usb to PC because I want to choose between microdrive and SD , i am still using wmstorage, 1.73 version works flawless

Perfect. I could live without the Adobe Reader, since I like XPDF (copy/paste, smaller). In this ROM, if it's not there, it's not basic - I can load it myself (so can you).

I'm having trouble with autodectecting wifi/gprs-3g. Have tried all the settings I can think of. Have to go in and select networks manually. In R5.1, I only had to do that switching to gprs-3g back from wifi, since when it detected wifi, it would change it and leave it that way.

I also have to "manually connect" in settings/connections/connections/select networks/edit to gprs-3g after first boot. Anyone know of s shortcut to call this function so I can put it in my startup? It's not the one PhoneAlarm calls, which acts like an app. Homescreen++ (Batterystatus) calls it, but I can't get it to be friendly with Ultimatelaunch (or something, it wil randomly not load, and I have to reinstall to get it to load again).

Just to let you know that for some reason nod 32 report the file in rapid share as a win32 variant of trojan dropper agent ( the raphael custom ruu.exe specifically)

I can download the file but just at the end of it nod 32 stop it so I end with a broken file.

Ill try tomorrow with the anti virus deactivated because rapid share said I reached my limit.

by the way beta 4 is pretty good (other than bluetooth not working properly with MWB150 watch,original taxist 6.5 was better in that respect) other wise I had no problems with it.

This new clean rom looks to be a good base to learn rom customization :)

yeah, nod32 is blocking the RUU.exe in the rar file, all you have to do is temporerily disable nod32 download and just extract the .nbh and use the old RomUpdateUitility to flash...thats what I do. I don't know why nod suspect the file, but I'm trying to stay as safe as I can.

Hey Michele,

I tried installing this version on my phone, but when I start the rom update application i repeatedly get a popup saying that Rapitool applicaiton has stopped working and then I am prompted with error [260] saying that it couldnt establish a connection with the device.

I am running windows vista 64 home premium, is that the problem ?

Update :- it worked now, Windows Mobile Device Center was not installed correctly, reinstalling it fixed the problem.

like apap, I thank you very much for the new ROM. I can now stay away from other much envied touchscreen devices since my Athena is now revived.

With the new ROM, it is like the Athena is a completely new device. I have even been able to add the contents under goodiesbag, done a hard reset (Camera button + Reset switch (in hole)), and everything came alive. Only one I have not used is the HTC Tools because I don't know what it does and how to install it.

Unfortunately it doesn't give you the abilty to choose more then one resolution, since it gives you the higher as the default one.

It works fine and the icons with lower resolution (Gsensor, Quick gps) look nicer also..

That's a great work :eek: , it's a new life for athena with michyprima .

I install Athena_SPL1.2_R1_CE_B21500_MiChY yesterday and it is really wonderful and lovely. But there are some problems that occurred from yesterday :

1- Bubble Tips are not correctly show , just a white and blank screen when a system warning ( notification , bluetooth found , new sms , sms sent notification and .... ) shown on the screen .

2- SMS problems, after each sms sending the system crashed and must restart with restart button .

3- In Sound and Notification menu you can not choose MP3 files like your previous ROM .

4- and until now , I'm testing this ROM and I will write the latest feedback .

I tried RealVGA 1.1 and loaded the resources but it seemed to hang quite a bit. Hang when loading a new program, hang when checking email, hang when getting a text.

Also, once I loaded it I no longer had access to the phone keypad.

MichyPrima - can you post the RealVGA cab that you use in the full WM 6.5 ROM?? I would go there but I'm SPL 1.2.

This Rom has all the apps that come as standard on this version of Windows Mobile, There is a Phone app as well, the fastest way to access this app is to press the send button on the keyboard or (if you are not using the keyboard go to "Start" then "Phone" I realize this may seem very basic but since the Athena has no dedicated Send/End keys on the device, only on the detachable keyboard it could be an issue if you are not using it.

I think this is simply a brilliant work by Michy to give us the option of enjoying some of the latest exciting concept for windows mobile phone.

I like very much the fact that it is truly finger friendly and that you experience some kind of visual animation as feedback each time you touch something on the screen. The scrolling smoothness is stunning and many things works fast.

the only down side for me is the WM6.5 drains the battery quickly and for the Athena / Dopod u1000, it is hard to find good extended battery. The high usage of battery is understandable because for all the advance features to work, WM6.5 must use RAM intensively and RAM needs power to work especially when it has to be active all the time.

Michy has done an excellent work but until there is such thing as extended battery for the Athena / Dopod u1000, I will stick with my favourite Michy's WM6.1 ROM. Stability, Performance and battery life is priority to me - and Michy's WM6.1 has it all. :)

the only problems i got are that the camera sometimes only shows a black screen, and when i enable the sub display the auto rotate function doesn´t works properly. it shows icon failures in the menu.

can you tell me what de differences between spl1.2 and 3.5 version are? i want to try 1.2 version but i cant downgrade to it.

hi i got a new/other problem/s.
last night i´ve downgraded my device to spl1.2 an installed wm6.5 clean 1.2spl version.
i think works a little bit smoother, but when i boot the op.system ive got the problem that i often cant acces to many functions in the "settings folder" like battery status, g sensor settings, device information... the most programs dont start. then i do some reboots and then it works till it freeze(like when i use tcpmp player) an i must reboot...
now im lucky that it works well for about the last 3hours.
does there exist a fix for sth. like that, ore ist that a "normal" problem at the time?

Re R6.5 Clean spl 1.2:

First flash seemed to crash a lot, so I reflashed. Second flash only a couple of crashes (four or so over 12 hrs, but doing things like setups, not mission critical on the fly), but also didn't find my wifi device at all. It didn't show up in the Wireless manager (comm manger just showed it was on, but no taskbar icon, and no LED) and it didn't connect at all.

Flashing again, and so far third flash couldn't find auto-setup for my Tmo like the other two did. Did the "Clear Storage" app. and it did the same. BUT it did find the Wifi, and I"m connected. That's as far as I've gotten.

Why have Advanced Functionality in Connection enabled as default? It never works for me, and I thought it was a fallback if things didn't work. ???

Again, I could live without the Adobe Reader. I'm not sure what the benefit is of having it in a clean ROM, and it takes up a chuck of space. But LIke I say, I don't know why to include it, perhaps it's too much of a task to try to weed it out.

Personally, I really don't like the PowerOffWarning.exe. I'd just like to hold my power button for 3 sec. and have the thing be off. The added five seconds and the extra click ends up being a bit of a tangle for me when other people can turn off their phones rather quickly. I mean, it's WinMo, so I'm dealing with the "just a sec" thing too much already, why add to it? The button on the Advantage isn't that easy to hit by accident, and I can assign the other options (soft reset, screen of, etc.) to other hardware or software buttons a thousand different ways. I love your ROMs, don't get me wrong, but this is a little nag that gets to me. Is there a way I can change this?

NueNoBar wasn't working on flash #2 with or without the new Today plugin. I just don't get the redundancy with how most phones' hardware keys are configured, and I've reassigned my hardware keys to replace them, so why bother with the onscreen, too?

About poweroff, agree with you there as well, I installed an app which allows me to just click on it and the poweroff is displayed. Not perfect but I can live with it, at least much better than holding the button for like 5 secs :)

Let me take a stab at it. Those more knowledgeable, please feel free to correct me.

1.2 was the original, factory size of the ROM. 3.5 came out with AP 4.0, which needed more ROM space, so they had the install process sort of re-partition the hard drive to allow for more read-only ROM space, and thus using/losing about 20mb available RAM.

It's more complicated than a simple partition, so if you're "partitioned" for one, you need to put a ROM that actually fits your current configuration, or run something (AP 4, or the Cmonex "down"grader) to re-partition your drive. It's not the end of the world, or your device, if you don't, but it sure is a scary hassle.

I prefer cleaner ROMs. Although there are many things one can tweak to make a bigger difference, I'm still convinced that the less there is in your Windows directory, the faster things can run. I've also never found a ROM that had all I wanted and nothing more (except one I sort of cooked myself. I say "sort of" cuz it was more like picking off the mushrooms and putting more cheese on a frozen pizza kind of cooking) so I'm doomed to take the time to do the installs/set myself up for the next flash.

I also prefer more RAM space if I can lean in that direction, although I'm not exactly sure how they seem to be shaving the 20mb difference down. I like 1.2.

I've found lots of things that make me understand why M$ hasn't released 6.5 yet.

The new Start Menu seems to have trouble finding its icons, often enough didn't launch the app underneath the icon, and didn't always run when I clicked my little flaggy window icon. I'm also not getting the plugings I've installed listed in the Today items. Looks like WkTask and (I've tried different apps to rotate) rotation cause lockups. Trying, get this, SKMenu just for task management - I just like to be aqble to see it, and it's wasted space anyway.

I got more lockups than I was comfortable with, twice on fresh boot just trying to use the new Today plugin.

Now, if they decided to make themes, I mean the whole new shebang, a lot easier, and touted WinMo as the customizeable Mobile OS (with the most 3rd party software, etc), they might have something. People might/do put up with the clunkiness because they can make it their own. Making that harder is a step in the wrong direction. Doing a lame imitation (finger freindy is good, but not original. Not even new. And the community of developers have already solved the problem, a thousand times) with a few remotely clever/cute UI improvements isn't doing the trick. 6.5 is not going to be a hot item. We need fresh ingredients so we can cut loose in the kitchen (metaphor, not ROM), not a new design on the frozen pizza box.

Look at Lakeridge software, Buggiest, most memory-hungry stuff I've found (Dave is so incredibly busy in the forum), but people swarm to it.

Although I do have to say, of the initial interfaces of phones and Today plugins I've seen, this is one my 75-year-old mom would get right off the bat. That's saying a lot.

My bet is on Android for the customization/open source trajectory. I'm waiting for the G2.

I'm going back to 6.1 tonight. I still use my x7501 as my primary phone (I like to have the big GPS and easy-to-read speadsheets & ebooks with me, not to mention the movies & games), and it needs to be reliable. After four flashes with three hard resets, I can't get this ROM to be stable, but I can't blame the cook.

I have a big Start Menu app, and probably five or six launcher apps already, and I like that I can organize in a grid so I can find it (like I need more thumb room on this gadget....)

I will miss the Today photo option. It's like PhotoContact with just pics. The rest I pretty much have already without the sliding. I'll also miss the multiple slider lock screen. If you can slide to unlock, why not slide to do anything? That was clever. Give me one of those that's customizable. S2U3?

P.S. It's faster than the clean 6.1 I was using, and it has Windows Live so I can set up my hotmail. These are reasons I'm questioning a reflash of the 6.5. instead of going back to the clean 6.1.

I can't get Pocket RAR off the Start Menu. I've tried the Michy organizer, Total Commander (my preference), and it's not there, just in the new Start Menu. I have so much on my device I keep my Start Menu organized in directories with a few apps that I need to get to while I'm on the phone in the "root" Start Menu folder. RAR isn't one of those. --- Update, tried "move to top" and it went away.

Also still running into blank notifications. Sometimes when I change themes while the notification is active, they'll show up where they didn't on the previous theme. Sprite Backup is always blank initially. Phone calls always come in OK. Sometimes SMS's will pop up one good notification, and the next will be white.

I'll just keep adding bugs as they come to mind. SMS's, generally fresh ones, disappear after reboot (that I had to do because of lockup).

I had installed the 6.1 rom 1.2 spl and i'm having an annoying issue regarding video playing using either TCPMP or coreplayer. The sound dissapears most of the time and i have to move alot on the progress bar to get it back and then dissapears some moments later. I tried using all video settings and disabling htc wow sounds.

you do not extract the nbh file that is the rom image file, you need to place it in a directory with ROMUpdateUtility.exe and some other files needed for the upgrade. you run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and it will access the nbu file to upgrade your device.

Hi,

I tried to install the R0 SPL3.5 on my htc x7501 using an usb connection using a Windows Vista PC.

During the installation, I got a message saying "The Update Utility cannot connect to your PDA Phone. Please check that your UDS cradle/cable is connected properly between the PC and your PDA phone."

My PDA Phone is staying with the message "Loading . . ."

Windows Vista does not recognize anymore my PDA phone.

I did hard reset my PDA and it came back to normal.

Does the HTC X7501 be flashed to WM6.5?

Also, I would like to know if we get everything that microsoft announced including the new Internet Explorer Mobile version when we flash to WM6.5

My device: X7500, Mickyprima SPL1.2, radio 1.50.
this is the result of my test lasted more than one month.

before starting I'd like to write that what I'm going to write is my experience, maybe some problems are belonging to me and to my ignorance and I'd like you to correct me in case a problem can be solved in a way I ignore.

Good graph, very attractive but several problems occourred:

1- stability is something unknown for this RC. Many hard reset needed, sometimes more than one in one day;
2- Graphical problems, often on the top bar with small lines that cover the informations on the bar. Sometimes the images of programs directory appear fat and stuck, often the tap-slide system is stucked and are shown only half of the first images (softreset needed);
3- sometimes in loading programs, taped image enlights but nothing happens (softreset needed);
4-it should be multilanguage, but only english is present;
5- camera button isn't working;
6- two direct link on the lower bar shows both "contacts" and no chance to change one of this;
7-phone button cannot be applied on the main screen, but only in programs screen (strage for a device that should be mainly a phone);
8- bluetooth connection with headset sometimes hangs and always doesn't reconnect to the headset if it goes out of range and then comes back.

Go into bootloader (hard camera button press, press reset button hole) it will tell you on the multi coloured screen. do a soft reset again to get back to main screen.

I have to conclude that there was something peculiar about my particular device. The only way out of the BootLoader for me was to hard reset the device then flash a new ROM.

Subsequently, I've tried the BootLoader, soft reset combination several times, and they have all worked correctly. i.e. after the soft reset, Windows Mobile starts correctly.

I'm not sure if this has been posted before (quick search didn't find it), but with Michyprima WM 6.5 (Build 21500.5.0.0) I have the issue of W-Fi turning off in suspend mode, and not being able to turn it back on after resuming from suspend.

I tried turning it on in the launcher and via the wireless manager (accessed via the dedicated button above the power button) and it would turn on for a second, and then turn off. I couldn't connect to any access points, even if they became visible for while.

Diagnosis: it seems that Athena goes into flight mode in suspend, and one cannot turn on just wi-fi after resuming from suspend.

Solution: after resuming from suspend, activate wireless manager (button on the right...), *turn off flight mode* (this turns on WiFi, BT and phone), and then manually deactivate bt and phone (I usually don't use them).

It seems, this project has been forgotten... :( I managed to overcome every problem mentioned here, resulting in great-looking, very fast and even stable (almost...) WM6.5 Athena. However, nonworking notifications forced me to move back to stock 6.0WWE, and that's not good, because stock ROM is much slower (esp. when it comes to graphics).
RealVGA 1.1 fixes notifications problem - so it must be some resource-related one, not "build-related". Is there a way to put 196dpi resource files from "working" 6.0 or 6.1 build into this one? I don't want to use 128dpi from RealVGA :(
After all, Athena's got 5" screen, so it doesn't really need that huge finger-oriented menus that cover 90% of display. I'm sure that most Athena users would, like me, reduce the font size with SKTools.
Right now the bubble notification problem is, basically, the only one stopping this ROM from becoming normal everyday usable.

I just hope, such great device that Athena is will not be forgotten in the shadow of newer and more "iPhonish" models. :(

yes, another Ameo alive!!! after my Ameo was totally bricked (it was flashed with a SPL 1.2 and then I flashed a SPL 3 RUU), tribandscreen, black screen with stripes, or gray screen). I followed the steps as described in cmonex post 33. then upgraded with spl1.2 (MichyPrima) and then MichyPrima's WM6.5. Now my Ameo is amazing!!!

Of course not. x7510 has different hardware. You can loose 16GB Flash Disk and your keyboard will not work as it should. Go to x7510 forum and look there for ROMs and info.

Read more. This thread shows that this ROM is still in early beta stage. If you want to have trouble-free ROM take Michy's 6.1 version, possibly clean, and install wat you want.

Yikes! Please, no. You don't. Not other than is already here- all over the place. I have been a Tilt-guy for a couple of years, windows ce since '97, and forum member for a while now. I read for 3 months on the x7501 before I got one, then I got one, flashed it, flashed it, bricked it, unbricked it, flashed it, etc... After 10 or so different OS (and 4 brick-episodes- only the first one was scary), AP Dual 3.0 radio 1.58 was the only one that worked with Garmin, SPB Plus, Traveller, Online, and time, as well as LOADS of other stuff, but you have to do your own homework. Great help here, but don't abuse it by asking for redundant assistance, please. Thanks to all of those who have unknowingly helped me here so much! (especially LTxda, Montecristo, Michyprima, CMONEX, and lakeman- your posts have been wonderfully helpful)

And it is not a cab file by the way. You will have to run it from your computer, do you know?

Confirmed as well. I have McAfee Virusscan Enterprise and it detected RAPHAELCUSTOMRUU.EXE as a "Generic Dropper" trojan.

guys I did a hard spl to my htc, then I download RUU wrapper and added it into the same folder that has Athena SPL3.5 R1 CE B21500, and pressed on the ruu warraper, it installed win 6.5 good, bur why can't i connect to the wireless, i tried to access it via comm manager but i can't get the wireless to turn on

I'm not a senior in cooking roms but I have tested a great bunch of the them the last 2 years for many ppcs.This particular one is "THE ONE"!!!!!!!!!

The cooker MichyPrima made a !!!GREAT!!! job. But as other 2 quote in this thread there's no wireless.....Bluetooth on the other hand gave extra bluetooth headset functionality to my old bluetrek bt headset. GPS is working great. I am amazed by the interface but more for the stability of the system WHICH HAS NOT NEEDED A RESET FOR THE PAST 15 DAYS!!!!!(and believe me I am using this phone A LOT as an IT road warrior).

Now for my problem -the wifi - I have an SPL3.5 HTC 7500 with 1.58 Radio(which is by far the fastest radio I have used in Greece) and Greek Regional settings. Wifi adapter does not appear anywhere in device info or connection settings, however on comm mgr. you may see the wireless and you may enable it....but nothing...no scanning of wifi networks.

Does anyone have an idea how to make my wifi work?

I would be happy to donate the cooker if he could find a solution to that!

I want to know how can I Re-Eanable "sent Items" and "Deleted Items" and "manage folder " in your ROM 6.1.
Isn't there registery keys to fix this problem?

Thank you for the rom, is working well, but with one issue.

When I reboot it looses my settings, well some of them.
I managed to get the G to apper last night up by the phone signal.

But it's gone now I've rebooted it and can I find how to get it back.

None of my GPS programs work now.

The settings on my GPS have not changed
GPS program port - Com3

GPS hardware - com5 9600

Is there something I need to turn on?

Windows 6.5 looks great, but it's to slow.

I Have installed coreplayer and when I am scrolling down in the program menu it's not scrolling smooth. The first time I installed this rom it was great, but after a while it wil irritate you.

I am now going to the 6.1 rom of Michy :)

Hoping the 6.1 will run smooth.
