Sweet!

So how's GPS? Any differences?

The fact is that makes phone bigger..but i don't care, because the standby time is bigger than 2 days! The price is 25 euro. A friend of mine bought it for me from London. When i find a reliable web site selling this battery, i'll post it to check this out.

Regarding the gps, i can't answer you right now because it's the third day i own the battery, so i didn't use gps. By the way I'll inform you soon about that.

hrmm, if they did one with a flat back i'd be tempted, ...

how much extra weight does it add? i'm using a magnetic car holder at the moment, and wondering if it can cope with the extra weight...

i suppose its too soon, but does it hold its charge as well? whenever i've bought third party batteries for anything, tend to find they seem to loose charge quicker, even with greater capacities

Any more information on this battery? I'm considering buying since it is on the cheap side. Does the Diamond still get warm after extended use?

It is's warming because of the procesor.... means that you have programs or proceses that keep the procesor running. Change your Radio to 1.09.25.23 or the stock one it's advertised as: the best for manny ppl.

During charghing it is normal to be worm at some point, where is almoust full.

And for new info's... my Cameron Sino 1800 battery is in custom now. I will post in a few days (4-5 days) conclusions and pictures.
I bought it from ebay.co.uk and it's been shipped from H.Kong.

stay tunned ;)

this one is already in the custom. Probably friday or monday I will have it. And as soon I will have it... I'll post a review .

Anyway.. GPS will work only with that aluminium square next to camera. But I'm happy...

I payed on 30, departure 1st of april, in custom on 6, and now any hour...the post men. :)

Package was also with tracking number... nice deal i might say.

I don't know how to change the radio, I'm not too literate when it comes to everything about phones (pm me if you don't mind). But anyway I did buy this battery yesterday. I too I will post my review on here after I recieve it in a couple of weeks.

I'm not content with the cover. Near stylus have one gap.

I tried aluminium trick for the GPS and it's working verry good. Nice reception.

I'll post some picture's and impresions maybe tomorow.

Got this battery too, currently draining it before doing a full charge. Applied the aluminium foil trick and GPS works.

The battery cover is on the flimsy side though. Not as solid as the original cover.

GXG, any further comments?

My O2 Ignito works fine with this battery, no need to do the aluminium foil trick to get gps reception.

A little disapointed!

Battery works just fine. The life is incredible. 2-3 days (I mean 24/7 - I don't like to shut off the phone for the night.) on maximum ussage, with Wifi, 20-30 min calls, Solitaire, Spb bubbles, Taking pictures, playing with the device, and so on.etc.

But I'm a little disapointed in the cover. I'll try to buy a cover from ebay. The original 1340 mhA I think will do.

The cover that came with the battery is crappy and I have problems with sliding it into place.

In the Stylus area is ~1mm gap betwen the stylus and cover. To be as one I had to put black electrical tape to sides. Will do, but is a 2 month old phone for me and is a major drawback this look with this cover.

I also have problem sliding the back cover on the phone, I like the life time of battery but since I've been using this 1800mAh Cameron Sino battery my phone has been playing up and I keep on having to soft reset.

Does the original 1340 mha cover really fit with this battery?

28th April 2009, 10:31 AM
The 1340mAH battery cover does not fit this battery that's for sure. The battery is thicker. Running on my first charge and going into my 3rd day of usage with 59% still left. Other than the cover, I think this battery is a good buy.

I may be wrong about this but to me it looks the same with the 3000 mAh battery...
I'm talking about thickness of course.

i should say the 3000mAH is way thicker judging by the pics of it in the other thread.

Got mine off ebay as well. Don't remember how much exactly, probably near 40 CDN?

I find it warms up even less than the original battery, maybe due to the fact that the back of the cover is farther away from the back of the phone.

Cameron Sino's back makes this beautiful slim phone look like Noah's Ark when sitting flat on a table. In my experience, the back also takes away the quality feel of the phone - feels hollow and very plastic in the hand. Plus as mentioned by previous posters, the back tends to slide off quite easily - not having as close a fit as the htc versions. So aesthetics and practicality are a let down with this product for me. Sent mine back after 2 weeks. Far happier with the 1340 mah version by HTC - 50% more power combined with good aesthetics and practicality ticked the box for me.

i got my Cameron Sino Extended Battery 1800mAh severl weks ago:

battery power: perfect, now its ok to let the gps run for 2 hours or more

Back cover: a bit on the thin side, but fits perfectly, i got the flat Version, without diamond edges

GPS reception: with the extended battery i was hardly able to get any fix at all, and if it took me several minutes (standing still) while driving nearly impossible to get a fix. The trick with the aluminum foil did not work (also the whole HTC GPS Tool stuff with fix - restart ... did not work) .
Then i changed to Radio Version Radio 1.17.25.09 and used the HTC GPS Tool for cold start/clear memory - unbelievable : INSTANT fix (under 5 Seconds) also while driving GPS works flawlessly now.
